What is your return and exchange policy?

Return Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return or exchange. 

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase for all items returned.

A 15% restocking fee for products returned in the original, undamaged package and in resaleable-as-new condition within 30 days of purchase. Washed, used, clearance, and final sale items are non-returnable. Packages must be returned complete, including free items. Exchanges may be made without incurring a restocking fee as long as no refund is necessary. Unless we made a mistake with your order, you are responsible for return or exchange shipping charges.

An RMA number is required for all returns. Purchase must have been made through a Cotton Babies website to be eligible for return or exchange.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival. Contact us right away if items are defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item. All claims must be accompanied by a photo of both the packaging and the product as it arrived to you within 30 days of the date of receipt. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned. This policy applies to all sale merchandise, gift cards, perishable goods, custom products, and personal care items (such as swimwear, beauty products, and menstrual items). 

Once the return is received and approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. 

Cotton Babies manufactured cloth diapers must have sewn-in CPSIA tracking label as originally attached in order to be eligible for a return or warranty claim. This tag is located below the brand satin label.

All return/exchange requests must include the following information:
  1. A return merchandise authorization number written on the outside of the package (click here to get your number). After this form is completed, you will be emailed an authorization number that should be written on the outside of your package. You can check the status of the return online by clicking (here) and entering the authorization number and your zip code. We will update the status of your return in the system when we receive the package and again when it is processed.
  2. A separate note in the package with the following information: name, current mailing address, products included in your package, the reason for the request and what you would like us to do.
  3. Receipt or proof of purchase for the returned items.
  4. The address to use when shipping your returns is available after you have completed the request for an RMA number.
