I absolutely love these diapers. They only leak occasionally first thing in the morning compared to paper diapers they explode every time! If you are debating on first-time cloth diapering I recommend these diapers and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Happy cloth diapering!

Rating:

I love these diapers!! My friend bought me the first 4 in my stash and I'm hooked. I love the soft inside and the cute colors!! I've tried other brands and these are my favorite. I like that I can wash them on hot. And I love how easy it is to find good deals on this site!! I was able to get 8 diapers for 100 because of the sales. That is a full days worth of diapers or more!

Rating:

These wonderful pocket diapers make up about 95\% of my cloth diaper stash. They are my daily go to, my work horses they are easy to care for. I love how I can change the absorbency by adding inserts. I add a booster at night and sometimes at naptime.. I wash in tide and dry in the dryer so I'm "tough" on them and they have held up beautifully. They fit perfect on my Piggle when he was a about 1 month old and the same diapers still fit him at almost 2 and 1/2. The colors are cute the prints are cuter. Hands down it recommend these to any 1st time cloth parents.

Our very first stash of diapers did not compare to Bumgenius 4.0 pocket diapers. After trying our first bumgenius diaper which was Patch, my husband and I were amazed! We quickly sold off our "cheapies" to invest more fully into these! They quickly became our go to for leak free cloth diapering! Super easy to use! Our 4.0s and now 5.0s are the only diapers daddy will put on our little guy.

I love BumGenius 4.0 pocket diapers! I used fuzzibunz with my 1st and I absolutely despised them. Poor quality, leaked, and were not good quality. I was so frustrated that I finally gave up. Now, with my 2nd (5months old now) I decided to try BumGenius and I'm so glad I did. Great price! Great quality! Amazing product all around! I have had ZERO issues with these! Never had leaking issues or smells or anything. They are super easy to use and easy to wash. I would highly recommend BumGenius! And Cotton Babies is amazing too. Easy ordering and fast shipping. I ordered the snaps. BumGenius is golden. Will never go back to fuzzibunz or any other brand. :)

Rating:

I would say that I'm overall satisfied with my 12-pack of diapers, they do the job and are the trimmest ones I've seen. However, if you're looking for a diaper to last through more than one child or a high quality diaper, this isn't it. My biggest problem is the "stay dry" micro-fleece liner and the flap to stuff the diapers in. The liner is a very flimsy fleece that doesn't wick moisture away very well. I've also had issues with the material just not getting clean compared to my other diapers (even after following instructions). The flap, on the other hand, needs to be pulled down well or else leaking around the waistband can occur too. In the future, I'd like to see BumGenius use better materials, especially considering that people pay a fair amount of their hard earned money to buy them!

Rating:

I love these diapers! I ruined my first stash bc I washed them on a sanitize cycle regularly which makes the water hotter than normal and it definitely cut the life if my elastic and pul. But that's to be expected. I purchased some charlie bananas as well and notices that just by washing in hot water the pul is sticky and they get moist, not leak just feel moist when baby is wet. I actually purchased 6 4.0's from the seconds sale and so far I absolutely love them! I don't wash any ofy covers in hot water anymore though, just warm. I'm hoping that this will prolong the life of the elastic and the pul. Even if I have to buy a new set for my neXT baby after using this stash for 2 or more years I still save thousands of dollars! I recommend these to everybody I know that is thinking of cloth diapering or already cloth diapering. Love love love!!

Rating:

I wrote an honest review of this diaper on this page before, but the cottonbabies people very quickly removed it. I used to absolutely love these diapers, until recently. They were my favorite diapers in our stash and we have at least 30 of them. We also supplement with prefolds and few other brands of pocket diapers, but these are the dominant diaper in our stash. I used them on our first child for about 2 years and our second child has been in them for almost 2 years (not yet potty trained). Shortly after our second child was born, I realized all the elastics were stretched out, so I replaced them all in the hopes that that would prolong the life of our diapers and it did, thankfully! (I consider that normal maintenance for cloth diapers which I expected to need to do at some point.) However, in the last 6 months or more I have begun to notice parts of the PUL are actually cracking and developing holes. In most diapers, this is occuring in the strip of PUL at the top inside margin of the diaper that touches the babys belly. On a side note, I have only ever washed my diapers according to manufacturer instructions, with cloth-safe detergent, and I do not put them in the dryer ever. So I was very disappointed to see this happening, and when I contacted the customer service to ask if they have seen this before, and if they really expect their diapers to not last through 2 children, her response was that is considered normal wear and tear. Im sorry, but I completely disagree. This is a quality issue, the PUL is literally falling apart which is now affecting the function of the diapers. And this has begun to happen in at least 8 of my diapers. When I spent the $$$ up front with my first child to cloth diaper instead of using disposables, I had hoped to be able to use them for all my children, but they are not even going to last through my second child. This is EXTREMELY disappointing, and even more disappointing is the way the customer service has handled the issue. I really want to be able to recommend these diapers to my friends when they talk to me about cloth diapering, but I dont feel that I can do that anymore. Looking at the possibility of needing to re-purchase my entire stash in the next few months, this makes me seriously regret choosing this product.

I have to admit. I was scared to try the BY 4.0's because of their bad reviews about their elastic. But one day I finally decided to try out a few. I own so many cloth diapers from many different brands and I have some I hate and some I love. But once I tried out the B'S 4.0 dipes. I was totally in love. These are now my favorite go to dipes everyday. I had to get more and my stash is budding up more of 4.0's. We love them. We have never had leaks or any sort of problem with these. And we have a heavy wetter. Sleeps through the night with both inserts. Love them. My mom baby sits my kids and she never complains when she uses these on my baby. I definitely recommend them. They are much better than the freetimes. I like the idea of the free times but those leak on us every single time. Even my mom hates them.

LOVE BG 4.0s! They are my go to diaper! They fit fantastic and not having to worry about blow outs is an awesome feeling. The hook and loop could be better but I prefer snaps anyway. Awesome diaper!

Love this brand! Can't wait until I get my Hummingbird in snaps! Thanks for a great diaper!

The big decision is snaps or hook and loop for me snaps. Love love love them best cloth diaper ever.

I lovr my BG 4.0s! Theyre an excellet fit and work well with my heavy wetters!

Rating:

I have to say that I absolutely love these pocket diapers. They are as easy as disposable. I used disposable on my older two girls and this is my first time cloth diapering my baby son so all this was very new to me. BG has made it a very easy transition from dispoable to cloth in this family and I am so glad. The few things I can possibly think of for CB to improve in the BG is the print selection and option to buy the pocket without the insert bc I like to stuff our bg 4.0's with flats that are padfolded. But other than that the quailty and ease of use is excellent!

Rating:

We LOVE these diapers! Started using them about a week after our 3 1/2 month old was born. We hang them in the sun to bleach out stains on the inserts, and they look great! You do have to use diaper rash cream that costs a bit more (we use California Baby from Target) so that the diapers don't become water repellent, but it's worth it after the investment in the diapers! Definitely planning on using these for any other kids we have.

Rating:

I loved these diapers....until about a month or two ago. They started leaking all the time. I have tried everything....stripping, bleaching, adding a liner, adding the newborn insert....the fleece is repelling the urine. I called customer service and was told this happens in 9/10 cases b/c the baby is overwetting the absorbency of the diaper. They suggested I buy hemp inserts at $7.50 a piece. Since the fleece is repelling, I'm opting not to invest any further. I'm very disappointed to go back to disposables. I loved these diapers. But, 4-5 outfit changes a day is ridiculous. They may fit from newborn (8 weeks or so) through potty training, but they won't hold. This is a little misleading.

Rating:

i did a trial of about 5 different styles of cloth diapers at a local dealer and within one day i knew bumgenius 4.0 was for me...having to stuff diapers didn't seem like a step i'd want to take but considering you don't want to dry the cover but once in a blue moon i knew the AIO style would be a hassle to have to hang dry every night...it's nice to do my diapers in the evening then wake up and stuff them and they are all ready for the day!!! As far as price I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, and i didn't want to cut myself short going the cheap route and having to replace diapers more often...I WILL SAY THE BEST THING ABOUT COTTONBABIES IS BY FAR THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! THEY HAVE BEEN AMAZING!!! to me thats what keeps me coming back!!! over all love these diapers and so does my lil mans bum, its genius!!!

Rating:

I love these diapers. The bumgenius 4.0s are the only cloth we have used therefore I cannot compare them to anything else. I researched cloth diapers when I decided to cloth diaper and I chose the bg 4.0 as it seemed to fit our needs the best. These diapers work great! We have both snaps and hook and loop haven't had any major issues yet. My baby's poop seems to stain them easily. I always dry both the covers and inserts in the sun to help with this and so far bleaching once a month gets the remainder of the staining out. I am not positive how the staining will turn out over the next couple of years as my baby is only 3 months. In the begining, we had a few leaks but my baby was under 8 lbs with skinny legs; now that she has gained weight we have no problems unless she pees a ton in a short time. My only regret is that there are only 4 pretty prints in these diapers. We have some of each print but I would love to see more prints like a few of the other brands of diapers have. I would rather use the bg than switch to prefolds and covers to get the pretty fabrics though. So far I love these diapers and am glad I chose cloth over disposables.

Rating:

Both me and my husband love the ease of use of the hook and loop, especially in the middle of the night and you can barely see and when our baby is squirmy. This was the only non-newborn diaper that fit our newborn (at 9lbs) the velcro is more adjustable than the snaps. I have to make sure i dont use up all these diapers so my husband or grandma can use the hook and loop ones, otherwise they are frustrated with the snaps (even though they arent that complicated!). These are our favorite. but i can see that eventually the Velcro will eventually need to be replaced. but they still look good as new after 3 months of daily use. even then bumgenius has a $1 repair pack for elastics and hook and loop. Great diaper, easy trim, fits smaller babies than the snaps

Rating:

I really like the fit on this diaper! My daughter is tiny and I never have gaps in the legs or belly area. I'm not crazy about the inserts that come with it. The inserts stain easily and it's hard to get the stains out. I've tried soaking in Bac Out, washing with bleach, and lemon juice and the sun for 2 hours. Still stained... overall one of the best diapers I've bought though!

Rating:

I wasn't very impressed by this product. I prefer the econobum covers matched with the kissaluvs fitted cloth diaper.

Rating:

I love these. My 16 month old twins are on the highest rise. I use the aplix not snap version. To preserve my aplix I line dry. At night I use the large insert and a hemp babies flat square insert folded in half. My babies wake up with poo every morning and this diaper contains it. I also love the sized BG's. They only make them in newborn now, but I search all the forums and find them for sale sometimes. I love not having to stuff the pocket.

Rating:

Honestly... This is the way to go! I do own other diaper styles so i can really fall in love with these diapers and do! I really like how i can adjust the sizes and how many inserts i want. when it comes to poop in the diaper even if it is a paste explosion these diapers i do not mind cleaning, i can take out the insert and just deal with the shell in the potty. they are so easy to clean and are fast to dry when it comes to the shell. Note shells really should not be in the dryer so it is nice that they are practically dry coming out of the wash, and the insert i hang dry but you can dry in the dryer if you really want. i have also noticed that they have more prints and colors when it comes to the 4.0. _3 4.0 _3 bumGenius _3 cottonbabies let me say this 4.0 great***** Flip Great**** Freetime bad* (unless used only for newborns) these diapers with be with us for many years and be worn by many tiny humans. :)

I have been using the 4.0's for two weeks on my newborn and so far I love these diapers! I also have prefolds with flip and econobum covers but I prefer these so much more! My husband, who was reluctant at first, really likes using the 4.0's as well and finds them just as easy as disposables. I am waiting for a seconds sale to buy more as I only have about 10 of these and would love 10 more. I use the prefolds and covers when we are at home mostly and save the pockets for going out, nighttime, and showing off my baby's cute butt. I would recommend these to anyone considering cloth diapering!

Rating:

Let me start out by saying that I was very nervous about beginning to use cloth diapers on my 5 month old. I thought it would be A LOT of work... but I was willing to take the plunge to keep chemicals off of my little man's skin, save money, and keep from wasting all of those disposable diapers. I did a lot of research, read all of the reviews, asked my cloth diapering friends for their opinions and finally decided to purchase some bumgenius 4.0's. I'm back today to buy more. They are MUCH easier to use than I thought they would be. I haven't used any other types of cloth diapers, so I can't really compare them to anything else... but I am completely satisfied. The VERY FIRST time I put one on my little guy he had a major poo explosion... the kind that would have come completely out of his disposable diaper and made a mess all over his outfit... and it ALL stayed in the diaper. The diapers are very simple to wash, even the poo easily comes out. I'm using lulu's detergent. I wash cold, wash hot, rinse cold, hang the shells and throw the inserts in the dryer. I purchased some hemp inserts for overnight and I haven't had a leak. My little guy seems comfortable in the diapers. They are easy to size. The inside is nice and soft against his skin. I love that they are easy to stuff, quick quick quick... and then I just store them and use them like disposables. I considered trying the flip system... but decided to go with these because once the diaper is used, the whole thing just gets thrown in the diaper pail for washing and a new one is put on... just like a disposable. I was worried that with my wiggly active baby there wouldn't be time for wiping out the flip-shell and putting in a new insert. I'm super satisfied with my choice. I'm back to get 6 more (buy 5 get one free... the ONLY way to go... they end up being about $14.50 that way... very comparable to other cheaper, but not as highly reviewed cloth diapers). If you're on the fence about cloth diapering, these are a really easy way to enter the cloth diapering world. So happy with my purchase.

Absolutely love this diaper, I started with one to try it out, now I have six. Great fit, wash up easy with no special washing attention. Dry quick in dryer, I mostly line dry in the summer, they dry great that way too especially the covers. Excellent for overnight diaper with added newborn insert.

I love bumgenius 4.0's there the best diaper ever. I didnt get any other diaper because I wanted to get the best. I use the diaper as as night time diaper as well I use the bumgenius one size insert and bumgenius newborn doubler dry all night. Oh my sons diaper rash is gone since i switched to cloth. Its so easy doing laundry and the shells dry super fast - i line dry the shells and dry the inserts and liners in the drier...

LOVE BumGenius 4.0. I've been CD'ing for over a month now and these are still my favorite. They fit well and we never have leaks. Wash well, no issues with snaps or hook/loop. Very happy :)

Rating:

I am on week one using the bumgenius 4.0 pocket diapers for my 14 month old grandaughter I am raising. I am VERY pleased. The last time I used cloth diapers was 23 years ago! They keep her dry at night, something disposables could not do! I use the insert included and add a thirsties hemp liner at night and just the insert included during the day. I have had no leak issues and diaper rash seems to be a thing of the past! That was a huge issue while using disposables. My stash is currently 15 but will be adding another 9-12 to have an adequate supply so I don't have to wash every day. I would highly recommend these to everyone!

Rating:

I've been using my 4.0s for a little over a year now and although we've had some issues I would still recommend them. We had issues with urine smell; once we changed detergent the problem was solved. We also had issues with the hook & loop; I've recently replaced it all with snaps. I wouldn't recommend the hook & loop unless you are prepared to have to replace it. We had issues with leaking; we bought additional full size inserts to double up at night and double up during the day with the newborn inserts. We've worked through our problems and I'm sure we would have had the same issues with any cloth diaper. I'll be adding to our stash when #2 comes along.

Rating:

This is my alltime favorite diaper. I love this! It is absorbant and I love the hook and loop closure to make middle of the night changing so much easier. I would recommend this diaper to anyone. We have Freetimes, Flips, these, and prefolds. I love all of them...but this one is by far the best in my opinion. I really like the added insert for extra absorbency. We haven't needed it yet, since our baby is only 2 months old, but it's nice to know it's there for when he needs it.

After many years of diapering and trying several different brands and styles, I always seem to come back to the bumGenius Pocket Diaper. We currently have 24 4.0 Pocket diapers (most with snap closure) and we love them. Trustworthy for outings, great for nights (with the right insert), stay-dry to keep baby comfortable, and fits a wide range of baby sizes and shapes. We sometimes use the MF inserts but often change them out for hemp, bamboo or cotton inserts. I recommend these diapers to any cloth diapering family, whether just starting out or a veteran cloth diaperer :) Highly recommend!

We have used Bumgenius 4.0 diapers with our son for 16 months now and LOVE THEM! We follow the washing instructions and use Charlie's soap and they seem to be great. We use the snap version. We do not have problems with leaking. We change our son every 2.5 to 3 hours on average. At night we put a hemp babies doubler in with the bumgenius insert and we rarely have problems with leaking at night. We recommend these to anyone.

Great diapers, but stuffing can be a pain :-/ over all id give them a 9 out of 10

We originally bought all gdiaper pants and cloth inserts and had about 75% success rate with them during the day. They weren't even an option at night, though--not enough room for double stuffing. The 4.0 is great. I put one of the BumGenius microfiber inserts and one gdiaper insert, and baby usually wakes up dry. They fit his chunky legs and tummy much better also. I should've gone with them (I also love the Flip) from the beginning instead of gDiapers. I do prefer the gcloth inserts to the BumGenius microfiber, however.

I bought both the velcro and snap diapers and have been using them for about 5 months now. I like the diapers but have one complaint-it leaks thru the Bumgenius tab on the side with heavy soiling. Other than that I have enjoyed using the diapers, like that I never run out of diapers and and being friendly to the environment.

Rating:

I have been using bumGenius diapers for over 6 years now. I have owned the 2.0s, 3.0s and am now using the 4.0s. I have stuck with bumGenius because I feel the offer an exceptional quality product that truly makes cloth diapering easier. I gave these diapers 4 stars for one reason - the "new and improved" aplix, is actually worse than the aplix on previous versions that I've used. Yes, the tabs curled on the other 2, but I didn't have to replace them until we had used them for 2-3 years. We've been using these diapers for just over 1 year, and I can't even use our aplix diapers until I replace the tabs, because they immediately come undone as soon as my daughter moves. It's very disappointing. I've also noticed that the "loop" part of the aplix is wearing down and getting major bare spots. It's happening on the tabs, laundry tabs and the front strip, which means there isn't anything for the hook part to "hook" to. I'm just glad we switched half of our stash to snaps about 5 months ago, or I wouldn't have any diapers I could use right now. Unless bumGenius switches back to the old aplix, I will not be recommending the aplix version of these diapers anymore, which is a shame because I've been recommending them for years. Overall though, I do love these diapers. They have a wonderful fit! I used them with my first daughter from 6 months to 3 years old, my second from 2 months to 2.5 years old and have been using them with my third daughter since she was a few weeks old and I expect them to also last until she potty trains. Besides those first few weeks, I find they are truly a one-size diaper!

One of my favorite diapers, these work excellent and I have never had a leak from my heavy wetter that soaks through every other brand of diaper, I have a few other pocket brands and he pees right through them! I also get an awesome fit with this diaper.

I've been using the 3.0 for 2.5 years now on my daughter from birth to now. They are wonderful! Yes, you do have to be good about your washing routine but its just like anything else...its a routine. Get in the groove and keep going. I wash every other day but in between I keep them soaking in the wash tub in a small bucket with Rockin Green detergent. It keeps the nasty smell away. And good ole fashion sunshine keeps them smelling good, too. I have not had a single thing go wrong with them. I have both the velcro and the snap closure but prefer the snaps. The velcro has not worn out nor have the snaps come off. Great product. I am excited to have made a great investment to be used again in the future for another baby. Thanks Bum Genius! And not to mention I had a super fat baby and these were great for versatile sizing. I also own the AIO in XS (newborn) and Medium (which they no longer make). Great for the teeny newborn stage. Overall a great product. Cloth diapers are WORK but better for the environment and better for your babies sensitive bum.

Had to give a shout out to bumGenius 4.0s. I have a 4 week old who weighs 10 lbs, 7 oz (he was 8 lbs, 7 oz at birth). I had him in disposables due to a rash, and kept having EBF poop explosions. I put him in one of his big brother's 4.0s, and haven't had a problem since. Not only do we not have anymore explosions, his rash & accompanying yeast infection are completely gone without the use of any creams. Just had to give you guys some well deserved kudos for an awesome product. Now my only problem is getting some more 4.0s in my stash so we have enough to go around. :)

I have 6 of these that I got during a buy two get one free sale, which is pretty awesome! They are just to pricey to stock up on them otherwise. (for us) When my son has developed a rash from wearing a prefold for too long, I always use these to clear him up. I also use them overnight. (love how you can stuff whatever you need in there) The microfiber doesn't hold much for us, we prefer econobum prefolds in the pocket. Overall, these are wonderful diapers. If I could afford it, I would have about 50 of these and nothing else :)

Love BG, I've had the same 3.0 diapers now for two kids after replacing tabs and elastic. Was excited about the 4.0 colors, but like everyone else, I'm noticing the new "improved" velcro sucks. I can't explain it but the 4.0 do not fit as well as the 3.0. If I'm going out to a friends I want to use the 4.0 because they still look new but there's a chance there will be leaks, while I know the 3.0 are a sure thing. Cloth diapering is amazing, and with the cloth wipes and the cloth pail liner, I know I've saved so much money.

Rating:

Love these diapers! I have tried several different brands and this is the only pocket that has worked for us! I happen to like the snaps way better then most pocket diapers. The only time it has leaked was when I needed to go up a size. Only nighttime diaper I trust!

Rating:

I've raved before about what an incredibly easy to use product this is, with a wide variation of customizable sizes and shapes this can give. However, a few words of warning I felt should be told. 1. After many uses, synthetic fibers start to stink. Especially if you aren't vigilant about the "every 2 days" rule of washing them. Stripping helps, but not completely. Bleach or hydrogen peroxide every single wash is the only thing that helps, even if the instructions advise against it. 2. Pocket diapers actually take A LOT more TLC in general 3. The limited edition prints are SO AWESOME! I love them. However, the PUL fabric is thicker, both in the laminate and in the soft polyester where the print goes. I believe it is a sturdy piece of PUL that goes through a "printer" and must be stiff and stay straight. Or something like that. Point is, it sweats a lot, even in the winter. It makes it hard to tell if baby is wet. During the summer they were just a nightmare. Case in point, they are cute, but they are never offered in the B5G1 sales cottonbabies has so I don't think it's worth going out of your way to get them

Rating:

I personally do not own any bumGenius diapers, but I did borrow a stash from my sister for four months. This is a well-made, well-fitting diaper. However, I do find that it takes a LONG time for the thick inserts to line-dry, they retain odor unless you are very careful with your washing routine, and it's a pain to stuff the diapers on laundry day. Also, they take up lots of room in the diaper storage drawer, and are bulky on my baby. These are all preference issues, and I do still say that this is a good diaper. I prefer using a Flip diaper cover with prefolds to cut down on bulk, drying time, and stuffing. My husband would rather grab a bumGenius diaper that is ready to go than messing with the Flip cover and prefold, but he has quickly gotten used to the Flips.

I have 2 boys and a little girl. I've used all sorts of diapers to meet their different needs and this is the only diaper that works all the time (day AND night) for both my 2.5 year old boy and my 8 mo old girl. At night, I slide a doubler under the inserts for my big boy and fold the front flap and never have any leaking issues. seriously.

I have been disappointed with these diapers. When I started using them I had many problems with the diapers leaking even though I washed them according to the instructions. I do not feel that the inserts are very absorbent. I also use pre-fold diapers with a cover and I have never had problems with them leaking. I have given up using the insert and pocket and now I just use these diapers as a cover and place a pre-fold inside since they seem to hold the liquid much better. One of my biggest complaints about these diapers is that I constantly have problems with liquid wicking onto baby's clothes. The fleece lining is sewn to the cover material around the legs and the fleece sticks out too far and gets baby's clothes wet. Another disappointment is that the actual color of the diapers I received was not at all what I was expecting when I ordered them. I ordered 2 Butternut, 2 Grasshopper, and 2 Sweet. The Butternut looks like bright yellow, Grasshopper looks like Lime Green, and apparently they do not even make Sweet any more, probably because it isn't Sweet or cute at all. Sorry to say I have not been happy with this purchase.

BUY SNAP CLOSURE...NOT HOOK/LOOP CLOSURE! I decided to cloth diaper with my 4th child, which was a huge decision. But I was tired of purchasing disposable diapers and throwing them in the trash after 9 years of being a mom. I consulted with a couple of my friends who also cloth diaper, and bumGenius 4.0 were suggested by both of them. Because of the price, I only purchased a couple in the beginning. But I fell in love with the ease of these cloth diapers. I ended up purchasing 8 hook/loop closure and 6 snap closure. In hindsight, I wish I would have purchased all snap closure. I had read the reviews that the hook/loop closure tends to wear out, but I thought I would have better luck because I carefully follow the laundering instructions and take very good care of my diapers. And I didn't want to make the transition from disposable to cloth too hard---hook/loop seemed a lot simpler. Now, just over a year later (which means I'm past the 1-year warranty) I am having to use the refresher kits to replace the hook/loop closures on my 8 diapers. This has already taken me a couple hours of work, and I still have 3 more to fix. Huge bummer! But I am willing to fix these because I invested so much in them. I am totally in love with these diapers and have recommended them to many, but I HIGHLY SUGGEST purchasing the snap closures rather than the hook/loop closures. They really are not any harder to put on the child once you get used to them. Other than this note, I am very happy with these diapers. Cloth diapering definitely isn't what it used to be!

I have a lot of variety in my diaper stash, but majority are 4.0's. The quality at first is okay, but only after a few months the elastics relax a lot and that leads to leaks and blow outs. Also, very wide crotch, not good for a newborn/little baby in my opinion. Sad that these are a bit pricey and already need repairs after a year of use.

Rating:

I got one of these for free. I haven't had it leak and the pocket is easy to stuff. It comes out of my HE washer almost completely dry. Maybe I should have bought half of these for my stash.

I am a 1st Mommy. My Mom used cloth diapers and I wanted to use them. Also, I thought it would be better for the baby, it would help the enivorment and the biggest thing is I would have to pay a lot up front, but in the big picture I would save down the line. I received a lot of crap about how I wasn't going to keep up with washing the diapers and what would I do when she pooped, but after about a month I'm still doing it and its not a big deal. My coworkers have said I should be a sales person for cloth diapers, but it's something I believe in so it's easy to sell and the poop hasn't been a problem I let it sit for awhile and it rinses off pretty easy.

Rating:

I LOVE these diapers. I have a variety of cloth diapers in my stash and these are the best! They fit well and the newborn inserts were absorbent where as other newborn inserts I tried were not. I love the buttons but the velcro is my favorite. They stop poopy messes from leaking out every time! Love, love, love!

Rating:

Love and hate these diapers. Cute colors. Absorbs well. Easy to stuff. Fits well. Quick dry. The pocket I find annoying since the envelope is so big, the flap gets pooed on and it is difficult to spray off. If holding the front and back with diaper inside out and spray down on the flap, poo seems to spray right inside the pocket. I now use fleece liners to catch the poo to avoid the pocket poo. Also I bought 3 diaper in the same color and they were in different shades.

These diapers are AMAZING! After having bad luck with fuzzibunz diapers, I had given up all hope on pocket diapers. I simply thought they all leaked. I bought one of these diapers from a friend who was selling them, (her little one was PLing). I was skeptical because it was a pocket, but I took a chance and I put it on her during nap time. If any diaper is worth its money, it needs to hold up during nap. Amazing. Did not leak at all! Her bottom was dry and the insert was soaked. Perfect. I went ahead and bought 6 more from my friend, and I use these preferable to my prefolds. I just bought 7 more diapers 2 days ago. I love them. They are constructed very well, unlike the fuzzibunz, the pocket is very easy to stuff, the PUL is not sticky. I cannot say enough good things about these diapers. I love them! Very happy to have a pocket diaper that works well for us!

Rating:

I absolutely love these diapers. They don't ever leak unless of course you wait too long to change them. The only thing is I wish they came in a red too! I love the colors. They are so cute. I have 6 older BG's. They were bought by a friend used and she gave them to me. The velcro is starting to wear out on them but I have no idea how old they are. We just got 6 new ones and now have 7 more on the way. I absolutely love them. Best diapers ever! I just wish I would have known about them with my first two babies.

I've been using my 4.0's for a little over a year and the velcro tabs are shot. Very disappointing considering they were supposed to be improved over the 3.0's (I had the same problem with those as well). I am ordering the refresher kit today that will hopefully fix the problem, but I'm mad that I'm going to have to pay a seamstress to do it because I don't sew. I've followed all the washing and drying instructions and also used their detergent. Like I said, VERY FRUSTRATING! Otherwise, I have no problem with the diapers, no leaks and my daughter loves them. I just wish I would have gotten all snaps instead of the velcro.

Rating:

I bought a few of these in the 3.0 version two years ago and other than having to replace the closures and laundry tabs they still function quite well. I recently bought a few 4.0's and am very impressed so far. I turned the diaper inside out to inspect it and saw that the elastic is no longer sewn into the casing. The elastic still goes through the casing, but is not attatched to it. If you can sew a button, you can replace your own elastic in your diapers. Very cool! I like that these are made in the U.S. and that Bum Genius has made it easy to extend the life of their product. They work better than a disposable and are just as easy to use.

I started out loving my BGs. I hadn't planned on buying pockets, but daycare was, um having issues with prefolds. I started by buying BG 3.0 and then as I was buying 4.0 became available. I have a mix of velcro and snaps. So, after 2 years of using them I can say this, I hate the velcro! It sticks to everything in the wash, no matter how well I place it on the laundry tabs AND I have two 4.0 diapers where the velcro has lost all functionality and needs to be replaced. My 3.0 velcro diapers are still working fine, which is weird because I thought the 4.0 was supposed to have improved velcro. I am really disappointed in the 4.0 velcro diapers. As I said my 3.0 are still fine, as well as some other brands. I've had them all the same length of time and the 4.0 velcro are the only ones I am having issues with. That said, other than the velcro, they work great. I have had stink and ammonia burn issues, but I suppose that happens with all microfiber inserts. I have rarely had any leaks and even then, it is mostly due to operator error. Overall, a great diaper, just do not get velcro.

After the big decision to take the plunge, I purchased 6 bg 4.0 and 6 fuzzibunz. Knowing how big my babies are I knew fuzzibunz wouldn't last the long haul and they didn't seem as well made as the bg's so I sent them back. I purchased quite a few happy heinys and oh katy's and a few other here and there . I ended up selling off all the others and ordering a ton more bg. I'm a mom of four kids and we have a busy, busy life. I need something easy and dependable, which bg was. I needed to be able to go the whole baseball game without worrying about a leak. Bg fit our lifestyle well. The top underneath where it has pul insted of just the fleece so baby's shirt doesn't get wet is "genius". These are the best of the best!! One other thing, Cotton babies Customer service is stellar.

Rating:

I love almost everything about these diapers. We have rarely had leaks and the fit is still great with room to grow at almost 22 months. My only recommendation is that people opt for the snap closures. We have replaced the velcro tabs on 12 diapers, but the ones with snap closures still look brand new. Also, the refresher kits only come with replacements for the closure tabs and laundry tabs, but not for the front strip. I have had to just buy velcro strips for that in order to replace a few of them.

Rating:

Bumgenius are by far my most favorite cloth diaper in my stash. I have prefolds with wraps, polar babies inserts and covers, a knickernappy, happy heinies and a bunch of homemade AIOs. Bumgenius are the only diapers I have used on my wee one without EVER experiencing any leaks. Even pampers and huggies have leaked on me. They seem to fit her comfortably and while she usually cries when her diaper is wet, she has yet to cry uncomfortably when she wets her Bumgeniuses. I love that the diapers will last her until potty training. The line drying I have to do with them is totally worth the quality. I prefer the snaps as they make laundering more convenient and they don't wear out like the hook and loop. I may try different inserts but I am satisfied with the ones they come with. I have enough diapers but I really want to increase my stash of Bumgenius so that when she's an older baby I can use them exclusively. If cotton babies continues their buy 5 get one free along with their free diaper coupon into June I will have to purchase some more.

Rating:

My daily diapers are Flips and flats/prefolds. I use BG 4.0 with an organic flip insert for night and for sitters.... these are bulletproof diapers.... just awesome! I have not had a leak yet! I have tried just about every brand out there, and BG 4.0, 3.0, and Sunbabys are the only pockets i kept.... and while i am on the largest setting now for my 3.0 and SBs, i am still on the medium setting for 4.0s, so i imagine they will last me a little longer than the others.....

Rating:

I have actually bought all of my BumGenius 4.0 diapers as seconds through cotton babies. These are in my diaper stash along with a few other brands. I do not have a favorite overall diaper, I think each one works better at different stages. I do like the "perfect size" of the fuzzibunz but during those inbetween times I prefer my BumGenius OS. The BumGenius OS are pretty trim, which I love. The inserts are not the greatest, I prefer a different style. The BumGenius 4.0 diapers are by far the easiest diaper to repair! (converting to snaps and replacing elastic). Overall I am happy with my BumGenius 4.0 cloth diapers and am glad that they are part of my cloth diaper stash.

Rating:

These diapers worked wonderfully until our daughter was about 6 or 7 months old. Once she became mobile, keeping them from leaking was a constant exercise in problem solving. They bunch up between her legs and the elastic pulls away from her legs allowing the pee to just come right out. Also, the diaper liner does not immediately absorb pee which was not a problem when she just sat all the time, but once she started crawling, the pee would just roll out of the diaper and soak her pants. After much experimentation, I discovered that if I put one thin insert inside the diaper, but outside the pocket (i.e. right against her skin), this allowed the pee to absorb immediately (I still put additional inserts inside the pocket, as well). Now the pee stays in the diaper and doesn't roll out. I also bought a couple of dappi pants to put over the diaper for good measure. Since then, no leaks. Overall, I think I might have gone with a cheaper pre-fold system if I had known there would be these issues, but the diapers still work, so I'm basically satisfied.

Rating:

I've been using these for little over a year now and they are great! I've got a 2 year old and a 9 month old and I love being able to customize the absorbency for them. I started off with velcro tabs but over time they've eroded to the point where they wouldn't stay on the kids. I sent them in and they were replaced without question, and they even replaced them with snap diapers, which work MUCH better for us. (Note: all diapers sent in were still under warranty) I've had to send 2 batches of diapers in to be replaced and the entire process was a breeze. The customer service and returns team deserve major kudos. I don't think I've ever had such a positive experience with returning a product. Another reason to feel good about cloth diapering!

Rating:

I have been using these diapers going on three years now. I did start with all 3.0's then sold that stash to upgrade to 4.0's about 14 months ago. The quality of the diaper itself has held up tremendously and I am certain I would still be using the same shells and inserts on baby 2. The velcro is a problem, even on the new and improved 4.0's. I am in the process of replacing all of my tabs, even on the 4.0's (and some of these have only been used 9 mos). However, it's not really that difficult, and I am only a novice sewer. I can't imagine having any of my clothes hold up if I washed them as much as the diapers, so I won't complain. I just love these diapers. I love not having rashes, no blowouts, no waste. For those who complain of stink, I do have hard water and have to strip my diapers on a regular basis. I also use bleach, as CB recommends about every 6-8 weeks. That really helps with the stink. My only complaint is that my heavy wetter son could never sleep overnight in these, but my daughter does fine. The diaper also struggles to be used overnight on a heavier kid double stuffed for nighttime. I had to quit using the BG's on my 2.5 yr old overnight when he was 32lbs. So for average kids, I guess they are the only diaper you ever need. But my Fuzzibunz is doing the trick now for the big kid until he is dry overnight. Overall, you can't go wrong with the BG's OS - they hold up well and do their job.

Rating:

These are great diapers. I prefer wool and fitteds/prefolds, but these are my diaper of choice for caretakers to use. I get aplix for them and snaps for daddy. They are much less bulky than many other one size diapers. The 3.0 fit perfectly, but the 4.0 fits a greater range of sizes. The *only* insert that absorbs for my heavy wetter besides prefolds are the bumgenius ones.

Rating:

I absolutely love these diapers. My mom bought be four 3.0s when my daughter was born and I loved them so once I got my taxes I bought several more but in the 4.0 and some seconds. I have to say this is really my fave diaper. I do not like aplix so I only have snaps and the snaps are super durable and meant to last with use... Not like some other diapers I have. My son was still in diapers when my daughter was born so they fit him great too. Hes tall and slender with a flat bottom and my daughter has a big bottom with chunky theighs and they fit both great. If you want a dependable diaper with a great fit I highly recommend these.

Now that we've been using ours for 17 months, I thought a second review would be good. We have 24 of these diapers in our stash and we're still very happy with them. They're still easy to use, easy to wash, and they've held up well after 17 months of heavy use. The only thing I would like to suggest would be to give us a choice when it comes to the inserts. Microfiber takes extra care to make it last and keep it from smelling bad over time. It would be nice to have another option like hemp or bamboo, even if it requires an increase in price. A choice between synthetic and natural fiber inserts would make this product perfect.

so far so good. I'm new to cloth diapering (only 2 months in) and in my stash I have fuzzibunz perfect size, econobum, flip and bumgenius 4.0. My faves are the fuzzibunz and bumgenius 4.0. I ordered all snaps and only one hook and loop and I will have to say that I prefer hook and loop to snaps. It's a lot easier to get a perfect fit with the velcro and it takes less time than lining up the snaps (especially if my hubby is changing a diaper). These diapers do leave some elastic marks on my chunky baby's legs but they're not deep or red so I think it's just bc he's chunky lol. I love the stay dry liners they absorb great and we have had no leaks. At night i use a stay dry insert with the newborn insert on top as well and he sleeps 11 hrs in that diaper. My baby also has very sensitive skin and got diaper rash all the time with sposies but he hasnt had one since we started cloth. I did have some problems with stink but then i figured out that we had hard water which i didnt know before. So now I just use a water softner in the wash and they come out great. definitely recommend these diapers to new CD mamas. It makes CD'ing a lot easier =)

I absolutely love Bum Genius. I have been working on building my stash, as of today I finally have 18. I have never had leaks except with worn out elastic on the legs of my two oldest. But those still work at night when she's not moving around so much.I will be ordering refresher kits for those on pay day. Those two are going through their third kid, so they have held up really well.

Love, love, love. The softness, the durability, the ease of use... even my husband and my mother in law - the two adults most fearful of cloth diapering - use these and like them. I love they way they fit my chunky baby's thunder-thighs without cutting in, and how they keep her dry throughout the night. I love them. Have I mentioned that I love them? Because I do... I love them.

The BG 4.0 onesize pocket diaper is by far my favorite cloth diaper! I actually sold 30 diapers that I had in my stash of 4 other types so that I could buy 30 more BG 4.0's! The stretchy tabs help get a great fit in the waist and I like how the pocket is wide enough to easily stuff the diapers. This is important so that my husband's big hands can fit in there when I am out of town and he needs to do diaper laundry! They have done an amazing job containing my daughter's messes and I am just very very happy with them. Snaps are my favorite!

Rating:

I love these diapers. I bought a few of these after my second daughter started leaking thru prefolds and covers at night and loved how she could go all night with just a insert and booster. We started stalking up on these and now 4.0s are the only diapers we use on baby number three who started to fit in them around 8lbs at two weeks old. she's EBF and has never had a leak. they dry fast and i don't mind stuffing. My husband loves these diapers more then anything else we've used in the past.

Rating:

Really have liked these for my son and plan to use them with next due to arrive anytime. Easy to use for my husband who struggles with prefolds, easy to care for. My only downside to them is the laundry tabs could work better.

Rating:

We are new to cloth diapering and these have been great. I love how quickly the shell dries and that you can put the insert in the drier. Ordered the freetime to save an "extra step" but there is nothing wrong with these at all. All of the bumgenius products have been AWESOME!

Rating:

My tried and true favorites! I bought many in 2008 (when only velcro was offered) and hated the velcro. When baby #2 came I had my mother in law help me with the repair kits and they are now working well with #2. I got a few of the "improved velcro" ones and with line drying all my covers now I believe they are much better. Definitely recommend line drying and it usually only takes 3-4 hours to get them line dry (I do put the inserts in dryer with no problems). With my first baby I always dried them in the dryer and I think that was the main source of the velcro issues. Overall I have several brands of diapers (tiny tush, fuzzi bunz, BG elementals), these and the flips are my faves. Only give it a 4 because of the velcro issue.

Rating:

This is a one-size pocket diaper. I prefer pocket diapers to AIOs because I do not ever put my waterproof cover material in the dryer and I don't like to line dry my absorbent layer. I also prefer that the absorbent layer be separate from the waterproof layer during washing (which the newest BG AIOs are, but other brands are not), because I feel that it gets cleaner and I have fewer odor issues that way. I have found this diaper to be as good or better than any other diaper I have tried. The rise even on the smallest setting is still a bit big for my 10 lb, 24 inch baby. He is long and lean so this is a problem with all diapers for us. I have never had wetness wick out the leg, but the BF poo has at times. But this diaper does better than most at preventing it. You might still want a smaller diaper for newborns, but it is definitely large enough to get us through to potty training. Unique to the BG diapers is the extra flap of fabric sewn along the back. I have never had a BF poo leak up the back in these diapers and this is the only diaper I can say that about. The diaper comes with two inserts - one larger on that snaps to make it longer/shorter and one smallish one for doubling or using with infants. The are very absorbent and I find that the diaper still has plenty of room for stuffing without seeming bulky when only using the infant insert. Also unique to BG diapers - the stretchy tab. I use snap diapers pretty exclusively (no matter how high the quality aplix/velcro wears out much faster than snaps - I have 4 kids and I like to hand things down) but with the stretchy tabs I don't feel like I am sacrificing perfect sizing with snaps. Although they don't complain (with words anyway) I also think the stretchy tabs probably make movement easier and more comfortable once they start getting mobile. All in all, if I was going to spend this kind of money on a diaper, this is the one I would go to. They are high quality components (mine still look new after 2 months of use) and well-made. I do get lots of complements on the artist series patterns being adorable (they are - I can't wait to get the Albert as my husband and I are both engineering nerds), Which is a great way to open a dialogue with other moms on how great and easy cloth diapering is!

Rating:

I love these diapers!! They make up most of our stash and still work wonderfully even though we haven't been very kind to them, lol. I love being able to customize the absorption and add extra layers for nighttime. Just awesome all around, fit my son well, and contain everything!

I loved my bumGenius 4.0 at first. They are everything I wanted in a cloth diaper. They are just as easy as using disposables and simple to wash. The only issue I had was with the Velcro. I couldn't believe it when the Velcro started curling and is almost unusable after only 8 months of use. When I called the company they said they would send replacement tabs for the ones I bought less then a year ago, too bad that was only half my diapers. I am just going to have to get my own Aplix and replace it.

I have been cloth diapering for three years. I used prefolds with my son, fitteds with my older daughter and now have discovered Bumgenius. I am in love! I have purchased about 18 through cottonbabies. I am recently using them on my 2 year old who weighs 25lbs and my 2 month old who weighs about 12lbs. These are awesome diapers. I have not had one leak! I wish I had known this three years ago, I would have made my entire stash out of these and saved a ton reusing them with three kids. I have not been disappointed with any of the cotton babies lines. I just have the flips left to try and I am sure they will be just as awesome as the econobums and bumgenius's.

Rating:

we were not a fan of 3.0s becuase i hated velcro and my son could remove his diaper too easily - it also didn't fit him when he hit thirty or so pounds - he is a beefy little boy with a big bum. The 4.0s solved my complaints and we now love them! I also have NOT had a smell issue - I attribute this to knowing how to wash and when to strip - i errantly thought that All free and clear or Tide free and clear was safe for cloth diapers- boy was I wrong! I now use BUMGENIUS detergent because it takes the guessing out of measuring - no stink as of yet (6 months use). I highly recommend these- they are very functional, daycare friendly, and superior quality - while being affordable.

Rating:

I love my 4.0s. They are the only diaper that works for us overnight (with both inserts plus a hemp insert). Yes, you do have to stuff them, but for me it's easier to spend the (little) time prepping them than spending the time and energy trying to wrestle my daughter into a prefold and a cover. One piece on and off = quick, easy changes. Hook and loop is also a necessity for us. Wish I could afford a whole stash. I've also tried Fuzzibunz and find these easier to stuff, and the insert is bigger all around, which means no leaks.

Rating:

We love these. My husband, who does not like cloth at all, will only use the BG with velcro. I have purchased BG 3.0 from the Used Diapers as well as a 4.0 seconds. They have all been great. I'm so glad I decided to give these a try. Economically, I had to start with Econobum and still use them quite a lot. They're great too. But if price weren't an issue, I would really consider using BG for my entire stash. I also have a few FuzziBunz too, but BG are our favorite. Hands down.

Rating:

I read some of the one star reviews and I haven't had any of the problems they described. As long as I do my part and check to make sure everything is tucked in, use cloth diaper approved rash cream and wash them as directed all goes well. Be sure to bleach once a month and use Dawn on them if they start leaking. I really like these diapers and highly recommend them. I can tell that they are more comfortable for my one-year-old than disposables. Less rashes. I've been using them since he was born.

I just received my 4.0 snap in Mirror and let me just say that the color is fabulous! It's much better in person and it may just be my new favorite color, which is saying a lot because I LOVE Moonbeam and Ribbit. The color is great for both boys and girls!

Rating:

Love, Love, Love these diapers! Super easy to use and efficient. Great for grandparents and husbands who might be a little hesitant to CD. My baby has had blowouts in disposables and prefolds, but never with BG. They are definitely worth the extra money!

These are absolutely amazing!! I have been cloth diapering my second for about 2 months and I am in love. Even my husband doesn't mind them and he is a no-fuss, get the job done kind of guy. My only regret is that I didn't CD my first. They work for us overnight without any issues (I double up on the inserts for night time) and the stuffing really doesn't take that long. I have a mix of snap and hook-and-loop, but definitely prefer the snaps. All of the colors are great, but my favorites are moonbeam and ribbit. I did recently order a 4.0 in the new sassy color and unfortunately returned it because it was more of a deep orangish-red and I was hoping for more of a true orange color. Customer service was amazing! Anyways, I can't say enough great things about the 4.0s. Buy them and they will not disappoint!

Rating:

This is our first time to try cloth diapering & I love our bumGenius 4.0's! We have not had a single leak in the month we've been using them. They do occasionally get a little damp around the tag, but that's after the baby has slept 7+ hours through the night, and it's nothing I worry about - and that's without doubling the insert. We've started with 12 diapers and that gets us through the day but I will definitely be buying more! Also, Cotton Babies customer service has been excellent. Great product, friendly customer service, speedy delivery, where can you go wrong!?

Rating:

My husband and I absolutely love these diapers! We have had no leaking problems, even when baby sleeps all night, 7+ hours. He is 10 weeks old and we have not used any doublers. I don't mind the stuffing aspect at all and I have them ready to go so the hubby doesn't have to deal with it. I have the hook and loop and so far they are in great condition. I only hang dry the diaper and machine dry the inserts on low. I am thinking about trying the snaps when we order more, just to see how they compare, long term. We have been using them for about 2 months. We honestly have no complaints, we love them and definitely recommend them!

Rating:

I have used 3.0's and the organic bumGenius for over 2 years and only have one complant. If you use to much laundry detergent they stink really bad like ammoina. I have discovered my mistake though. Only use the detergent for one cycle instead of the recommened two. They still get perfectly clean but without the smell!! As for us of the diapers I used them 100% of the time for my son from 4 months until he potty trained and I LOVED them!! I recommened them to every new mother I meet and will keep recommending them!!

Rating:

Bumgenius 4.0's with snaps are the way to go! Here's why: snaps don't wear and tear, the material is SUPERB for my babies' skin (I have two in diapers). Everything else gives her a rash. Order just one Bumgenius diaper if your kid has a rash and just see -- it will go away. There are no toxic and irritating bi-products yielded like when you use a paper diaper. When I had leaking problems with these diapers, either the diapers needed to be stripped (with a tad of bleach in the second wash) OR when the diaper needed to be re-sized. When baby starts crawling, her legs thin out sometimes, for example, and you have to make the diaper fit more snugly. If you are a mom looking to start cloth diapering, I would order EIGHTEEN of them.

Rating:

When I said left on way too long, I meant more than an hour after it should have been changed. She generally goes about three hours between changes.

Rating:

These are my favorite. Those with leak problems need to do some trouble-shooting. I've only had leak problems when the diapers need stripping or when the diaper has been too loose or left on WAY too long (more than an hour). I go about a month between stripping, and I use less than half the recommended amount of bleach. The blue Dawn is fine. To get it all out, I wash several times, the last couple times with water only. I air-dry the covers whenever time permits, but sometimes dry everything on low to save time. My ten-month-old has sensitive skin. I've done disposables (the Luvs worked the best, although if I didn't change them the moment she was done pooping, they leaked; that was as good as disposables got, expensive ones included), another brand with fleece, cotton prefolds, and the microfleece stay-dry. Microfleece is the nicest. It's also easy to get poops off of. Fleece turned out to be more trouble than microfleece. I do not particularly like Flips, as they tend to bunch when wet unless doubled, and the absorbent material gives her a rash. I certainly hope this particular pocket diaper stays on the market, as I intend to buy more of them to increase my stash when I get around to having more kids (which may take a while). These are fantastic, and I don't mind stuffing.

We love our bumgenius one size pockets and have slowly been getting rid of anything else in our stash for more of these! We just got all the new colors last week and I really like the Mirror color and the Sassy. I'm a little sad that the Dazzle is more of an electric purple than the plum/eggplant color is looks like in the pictures. Overall though, wonderful easy diapers that everyone (husband, in-laws, daycare, babysitters, etc) has no trouble using!

Rating:

I was very excited about these diapers, but after 2 months or sooner they started to leak through the "bumgenius" tag. This happens within less than 2 hours of wearing and gets my son's clothes wet around the area. Whats the point of having the rest of the diaper water proof if the moist is going to come out through the tag?

Rating:

I absolutely LOVE BG 4.0's! We have tried just about every pocket and hybrid or AI2 diaper on the market, and these are the winner by a long shot - I've since sold off all the others (Fuzzibunz, Grovia, Best Bottom, etc) and our diaper stash now consists only of these and Flips which we use for being out and about. Our son is a very heavy wetter, and even he can wear these for 2-3 hours without a change using only the big insert. For naptime or long car rides I'm always sure to stuff the smaller insert in as well and it easily extends their absorbency to over 4 hours without leaks. We've yet to find the magic combination for nighttime, however for daytime no diaper we've tried has compared in absorbency, fit, and durability. Best diaper ever!!

Rating:

The diapers work decently, but stuffing and unstuffing is a pain. I much prefer my 3.0 AIOs.

Rating:

I have prefolds, flip covers, and these 4.0s. BEWARE...if you do not change these as soon as your baby pees, urine will seep out through the leg holes because the fleece goes all the way to the outside of the diaper. WHY the diaper is made this way I will never understand. Also, in the front, the fleece can fold over and come out the top, which also creates leaks. This diaper would be wonderful if the fleece didn't extend to the outside of the diaper. Very poor design in an otherwise great diaper. SO disappointed. Too bad I didn't read the fine print about cottonbabies deducting 10% on all returns, so I guess I'm stuck with these.

We love these! Great go-to diaper! Snaps are better than the velcro I think... they last longer.

I have been using the bumGenius 4.0 on my 5 month old girl for about a month now and I love them. Not one leak or blowout and that includes overnights. We have even taken two vacations with our 4.0s and they have worked out wonderfully. I have a mix of snaps and hook/loop. My favorites are the snaps, but the hook/loop make it very easy for quick changes while we are out and about. These are my number one go to diaper and I am working on making my entire cloth diaper stash bumGenius 4.0.

Rating:

Hook & Loop: I bought 4.0 diaper like I used to have all of my 3.0 version, which I LOVE. I personally considered that BumGenius was the best diapers out there so far, so I was very excited for this diaper to show up in mail. Like it says diaper 4.0 was improved version of 3.0 and L size is a bit bigger than 3.0. I was extremely surprised that nobody noticed that "improvement" on 4.0 compare to 3.0 is that back tabs, which you would use to close the used diaper are SO rough, that it irritates my toddler skin (we still use diapers for night time). The previous version of fabric was much more softer. I am very upset, that I need to look for another diapers out there now. Also I personally do not like snaps nor my hubby, so this is not an option for us.

Rating:

i have been using BGs for two months now. no leaks, no blowouts, no smell, no problems! they fit well, easy to snap and not hard to clean. i have a mix of white, noodle and sweet colors. love all three.

Thanks for making a great product. I've used 4.0, 3.0 and Flips. I love that I only have to buy one set of diapers that grow with my kids, and they even interconvert between my infant and my toddler. Twelve 3.0s lasted about two years for my first baby. At that point we tuned them up with new elastic and velcro tabs that extended their life about six months as hand-me-downs for our newborn. We also added Flips at that stage to keep up with the size and prying fingers of our two year old. I have had trouble with the snaps pulling through the tabs on some the Flips and 4.0s after about six months of use, but cottonbabies has stood by their warranty and replaced the broken covers.

BumGenius 4.0 cloth diapers are our go-to diaper. We LOVE them! Our first son was born in April, and we have been cloth diapering him ever since he was 2 or 3 weeks old. We have had a couple of leaks with these diapers, but I am convinced it is because we weren't putting them on right. It took us a little while to figure out what was the best fit for him. We haven't had a leak since! We own both the hook and loop and the snap closures. He is still wearing the snap closure variation completely snapped at the waist (and the rise), and he is already 16 weeks old. (He was 9 lbs 9 oz at birth). The inner layer is very soft, and the insert is incredibly absorbent. We have used these diapers overnight with no leaks (and he is a heavy wetter). These are our at-home, travel, and overnight diapers. So easy to use. LOVE them!

Rating:

We LOVE these diapers! I have been so excited to try them out, and lucky for us when our son's belly button healed up he was already big enough to fit these on the smallest setting. All it took was one diaper change for my husband to agree we needed to round out our BG stash. Our prefolds are workhorses, but the BG are so much easier and more convenient! We have mostly snaps and a few velcro that we use for nighttime changes. We've never had a leak, even when we've gone without changing overnight. They wash nicely and dry quickly, and I love that I can customize the absorbancy. I recommend these as the Cadillac of Cloth to everyone!

Rating:

Love! cant say enought good things about them. i like the snaps. dry fast, easy to clean, no leaks!!!!

Rating:

This is the only diaper, when stuffed with the insert and the doubler, that my daughter doesn't leak through at nap time! I am not a huge fan of pocket diapers, because you have to stuff them, and poo doesn't rinse off very easily. I use these after she has pooed, so I know one isn't coming, and they are our back up diapers in case the Flip inserts need to be soaked or stripped. Love them for this purpose, bc I don't HAVE to stuff them right away, in order to have a diaper to put on her, since the Flips are our main diaper.

Rating:

My husband loves these because they're easier than the ones with the snaps. I leave him a stack of these if I'm heading out although I prefer the snaps. I do wash them inside out and make sure the laundry tabs are in place. The only problem with the velcro is my daughter started undoing her diaper in the middle of the night and I could hear her slowing ripping the velcro open so she could make a sneak escape. But I thwarted her attempt by putting a onesie over her.

Rating:

Love the new 4.0's! They are more generous around the waist area which makes them much easier to put on my baby. Also, love the snaps as they will never wear out and snag things in the wash.

Rating:

I have the velcro version of these diapers. After about 6 month of use the velcro has worn out and the diapers are coming open uner my baby's clothes (so I know it's not her opening them). Thankfully I have mostly 3.0, which don't seem to have this problem. I definately would not recommend the velcro version.

Rating:

I just bought four of them and I was so surprised how fast they shipped to me and it was at no cost for shipping and the diapers are amazing... I will be buying more and I really recommend them for anyone.. Especially since my sons a heavy wetter and these diapers a great....

Rating:

I really love these diapers. Only the snap ones though. I tried the hook/loop ones and the laundry tabs inside the diaper are too scratchy next to a baby's skin. when I put them on my almost two year old little girl she started pulling on her diaper and scratching her bum. Maybe they get softer in time (?) but I resold them and replaced them with snaps. The snaps were so easy to figure out and still have a great fit.

Rating:

I'm not a fan of BG 4.0, but they are decent diapers. Pros: 2 kids of different sizes can wear them with easy snap adjustments for the rise; stay dry liner; easy wash; durable with snaps and lots of adjustability. Cons: flap in the back of the diaper where the insert goes in - makes putting the insert in and taking a messy insert out more time consuming/messy; cannot stand velcro option - scratchy on daughter's tummy, rough on dry hands this winter, diaper chains in laundry, and wears out/pills up. Overall a great modern diaper, but I prefer other brands of pocket diapers.

Rating:

We've been using these on our triplets for a little over 2 months and are extremely satisfied with how they absorb, wash, and wear! One of the reasons we chose these over some of the other brands was for the little 'flap' in the back - I love that it comes down over the insert... we had leaks with some of the other brands that didn't have this feature. The snaps are super simple and even with wiggly babies who like to kick we haven't had too much trouble! We wash every day (we go through 18+ diapers a day) and have been hanging everything up out in the sun to dry - love that fresh smell with NO lingering urine smell. I've recommended these to a number of friends and am a completely satisfied customer.

Rating:

I have a few4.0's but I also have 2.0 and 3.0. I am so happy with the 4.0 because of the snaps! My opinion is the VELCO is less than satisfactory. In harsher words total CRAP. I was insane careful with washing our diapers and yet I still had nearly every diaper have failing velcro and now the elastic is going too. I have the dreaded "diaper chain" coming out of the washing machine. I would not recomend the velcro to anyone. Unless you want to have to replace it. I have 3 kids and a deployed husband I don't have time for that right now.

Rating:

We have ~20 diapers with snaps, in all different colors. We LOVE them. We have had significantly fewer leaks in these than in disposables (I can only think of one blow out in the two months we've been using them). We have yet to use them overnight, though, because we received so many disposables for shower gifts. My daughter is 4 months old and 16 pounds and is at the second length snap and still has 2-3 snaps width wise on both sides. We didn't start using cloth until she was about 2 months old (~10 pounds), but they fit great at that point! They wash easily (we do a cold rinse, hot/cold wash, cold rinse), and line or tumble dry nicely. They're easy to stuff. The only other cloth diaper I have to compare them to at this point is an Ecobumz, and the bumGenius are significantly better! They're also very user-friendly.

Rating:

I absolutely love these diapers. I tried the Econobum and was not a fan, then i heard about BumGenius. I have twin boys that have not wet though or pooped thoughed these diapers! They fit great and dont make them look like they are wearing 3 diapers! I would recommend these diaper to anyone and everyone! They are also so easy to clean and store! AMAZING DIAPERS!

I made the decision to cloth diaper my son when he turned 15mo. I have tried three different types of diapers. I have bumGenius AIOs and bumGenius 3.0 and 4.0s. I have to say, I love the 4.0. They don't hold any smells like the AIOs tend to do. The covers hang dry quickly. I prefer to use the pocket diapers, since I can adjust number of inserts depending on the time of day. We are trying to potty train my son. I am planning on cloth diapering my next child full-time as well and I love the 4.0s in that they adjust to different sizes unlike the AIOs.

Rating:

I was a little upset to find out they were no longer making the 3.0s. . until I used a 4.0! I thought using the pocket diaper would be so much more work and more bulky, when really it is just much easier to clean! No more stinky diapers when I pull them out of the wash! Being able to dry the covers separately also cuts down on my drying time. I'm glad I invested in a stash of these.

Rating:

After 2 years and 3 months in BG 2.0, I have to say that I love them, but I'm glad we no longer need them (using the potty is so much better:-). We have only velcro closures, and after all this time, they still work just fine (laundry every other day, line dry). True, the laundry strips stopped working, but we just closed the tabs to the front of the diaper to wash them, and it worked great. Most of the diapers have zero stains. All the inserts are still fine. Before moving on to child #2, we'll replace all the velcro with the replacement kits (mostly to eliminate the ones that are curling a bit), and then we're good to go! At my daughter's day care, I always felt like the BG evangelist! Most of the workers asked me about them at some point in order to pass information along to pregnant friends. I do not hesitate to fully recommend them!

my six week old has been in the 4.0's for the past week (after having outgrown his bumgenius newborn diapers) and we love them. i cannot say enough about them! he was a little under 12 pounds when i started using them. we have the snaps and i highly recommend those. we had velcro on the newborn dipes and they were showing signs of wear after five weeks and often came loose in the dryer and snagged my cloth wipes. the snaps are a lot easier to use than i expected. the 4.0's outlast disposable diapers so we no longer use disposables at night. they hold a lot! they come clean very easily in the wash- i breastfeed so we don't even rinse the diapers, we just throw them right in. i store them in a wet bag between washing. the inserts dry well on one full dryer cycle and the liners dry in a jiffy if you just lay them out. my son has never had anything close to a diaper rash and he seems to love the 4.0's as much as we do!

I purchased the 4.0s when they were on sale where you got one free. I also purchased the used ones, which were pretty much as new. I have half poppers and half velcro. I like both. I thought the poppers would be more of a pain/handful with a wiggly baby but they are easy. They hold everything in well - in fact better than name brand disposables. I have about 20 and they allow me to do a wash every other day. I soak them in a wash bowl after hosing them off until wash day and wash as directed. I hang all parts up to dry and they are dry in no time at all. I do a bleach wash once a month and they come out super clean on that wash. I am very happy with them (used them for 2 months so far and am using them when I take him into work with me). Only thing to consider when purchasing these is that you will more than likely have to purchase slightly bigger clothes to fit over them - overalls work well with them. Enjoy!

I may be pretty new to cloth diapering, but I really do love the 4.0! I ordered ten (all snaps) when they were on sale, and immediately loved the cute cover colors--which were exactly the colors I expected, rather than being one or two shades off like online purchases often are. I've now been using them for just a few weeks with great success. So simple to use, no problems other than the inevitable CD newbie trial-and-error with overnight absorbency. Once I figure that out, these will officially be perfect for my son, who's average height but has a little tiny booty! :p I like that it has two rows of waist snaps to help keep its form for my wiggly son, and I do actually believe that it'll fit him through potty training. Even with him roaming around pantsless on concrete sidewalks, through mud puddles, and in dirt piles, the covers have washed clean every time, and the inserts absorb really well (first time I used the diaper overnight, I thought he must not have peed much since his clothes and bum were dry, but the inserts were SOAKED when I pulled them out!) No stink problems so far. The BG 3.0 AIO smelled a little after washing, but the 4.0's removable inserts wash MUCH easier and dry so much faster--just two or three hours on the line in Florida spring weather, or a normal cycle in my dryer on medium heat. I would definitely recommend having these in your stash, especially if (like me) you're new to CDs or have a babysitter hesitant to use cloth diapers. I have prefolds, too, but these are just more convenient. They make CDing that much easier, and for a single working student mother, convenience is something to be prized...

Rating:

I love these diapers! I started cloth diapering with prefolds and rubber pants. My daughter was constantly battling diaper rash because prefolds don't stay that dry. With bumGenius her skin stays dry no matter how wet her diaper is! She hasn't had ANY rashes since we started using these. When I started researching cloth diapers I was initially put off from these because of cost but they are worth every penny! If you are even thinking about cloth diapering give these a try they won't disappoint.

Thought that I would love this product. I purchased these and another brand of pocket diapers. Had to return one due to missing snap....which customer service was great about after a small mixup. Now I notice another one has thread unraveling from around the back waistband. I can fix this at home and elect not to return due to the fact it costs me to return it. I wonder if overall quality is beginning to decline. Also, design wise, having the pocket opening at the back of the diaper where poop inevitable goes into makes pulling out the insert messy. I really wanted to give a better rating and wanted to love this product more but I prefer the other brand of pocket diaper. On the plus side it has great absorbancy, the adjustability makes it versatile, and 2 sized inserts give more options.

Rating:

When I first began using pocket diapers I used a different brand (a very popular brand) and was not very happy. So when my daughter was 7 months old I purchased 1 4.0 (grasshopper) in snaps just to see the difference. . Wow. I loved how the inside was sueded as opposed to pilly fleece. I loved how there was a flap that covered the opening where you stuff the insert so that it doesn't migrate back out. I loved how there were 2 rows of waist snaps instead of just one making it so much easier to get a great fit in a one size diaper. Most of all--I love how trim they are--even with other inserts. That very next week I sold off the 20 diapers of the other brand and purchased all 4.0s. I never looked back. I love them. I do wish they came with some other kind of inserts besides microfiber though, or the option to upgrade it while ordering. either way, best pocket diaper in this price range.

Because I have 14 of the 3.0 BG diapers, I didn't think I needed to get any 4.0s. However, when my son was 18 months old, we'd have issues with his night time diapers coming un-hooked when he slept restlessly at night under his pajamas. The FB we had weren't large enough to use the night time stuffing method we use - 1 Joey Bunz Hemp, 1 organic flat, and 1-2 Hemp Babies doublers - and the few snap covers I had did work well. However, I wanted the stay dry layer provided by the BG pocket. These 4.0s in snaps are the perfect solution! I wish we had more of them! I notice that the interior seems softer than the 3.0s (perhaps just because new!) and that the rise is slightly larger than the 3.0. I ordered my first pastel BG color- Sweet - and it truly is a LIGHT mint color. I can barely tell it from the white 3.0s we use for overnights on the night that this pocket diaper is in the wash! I will continue to recommend this diaper as the GOLD STANDARD in cloth diapering for my friends, and suggest that even though the hook and loop diapers are wonderful for young babies and day time use for older babies, snaps are the way to go for bulkier night time stuffs!

I'm in LOVE with these diapers! I have a 9 month old & a 2 1/2 year old & they fit both of my kids great & keep them dry. They are not nearly as bulky as other cloth options. I highly recommend these diapers!

I really like these diapers. My son is 11 months old and we bought some of these along with prefolds before he was born. I still like and use my prefolds too but these are great diapers. They are easy to change when you are out and they are the ones my husband always reaches for first. I have mostly 3.0's and a few 4.0's and they both do great at containing leaks. I'm on here to look for a shower gift. I am happy to promote CD and cotton babies to anyone who wants to listen. I have had only one issue with ordering and the customer service dept went over and above to correct the problem.

These diapers have been working great for me so far. My daughter is two and a half, 28 lbs, and in the ninety fifith percentile for height and they fit her fine. I ordered one to try at first and put it on for a test run. I was very impressed because my daughter soaked it and filled it with a huge messy number two. It did not leak at all and that decided it for me, I ordered a bunch more that day and we've been using them since. I do use both inserts all the time and though her bum is a bit bigger than with disposables, overall it's not too crazy. She can even wear them with her tight leggings. I am so excited to finally be able to use cloth!!

I used to have the BG 3.0's and I used them for about 8 months. I never had any big issues with them and loved them for the most part. My sister-in-law started using the Flip system and persuaded me to switch over to those. After selling my BG's and using Flips I had such buyer/sellers remorse! I hated the Flips and wished I had my BGs again. Didnt realize how amazing they were until I didnt have them anymore. So I sold all my Flips and purchased about 18 BG 4.0's. Lesson learned! I love them and would never use anything else! I have the snaps which I like better than the velcro because they dont have the velcro laundry tab on the back. I felt like on the 3.0's I had the velcro laundry tab scratched my daughter's back. I dont know why they decided to do that. You can't go wrong with the BG's. I'm so happy with mine.

I got two of these and some a few 3.0 bumgenius to start me out. Along with a thirsties and prefolds and one fuzzibunz. Have to say I am really impressed with the bumgenius. After seeing so many reviews with most liking either bumgenius or fuzzibunz I had to try out both. Have to say I hate the fit of the fuzzibunz who wants a big puffy behind on there little baby and the material to me isnt as nice. Also really like the thirsties

My daughter is 16 months and we've tried a number of cloth diapers during that time. These are my favorite and pretty much all my husband will use! They are not as bulky as using prefolds with a diaper cover, but still very absorbent. We've not had any "explosions" and only minimal leaking - admittedly, when I go too long without changing her. At night, we use the one-size insert plus the newborn/doubler and do not have problems leaking. Also, we have not had any problems with the one-size diaper not fitting well. We have used these since my daughter was a newborn and have found that the snap sizing system works perfectly - I would not spend the extra money on the sized diapers.

The BG 4.0's are an amazing product, and I can't begin to describe how happy I am to have something this good to put on my baby. We started our daughter on cloth diapering with the basic prefold/cover system. This was working pretty well, until she started sleeping through the night and waking up very wet and with a rash from the moisture. We then used disposables for nighttime simply because they kept her drier, but was still fighting the rash as she was now teething as well. I decided to invest in one BG 4.0 just to see how it worked, and the first night she slept 2 hours longer than normal (I think because she was finally dry and comfortable) and even with a full palm pat down of the diaper when I took it off, it felt barely damp, even though the insert was soaked! That is impressive wicking! As an added and unexpected bonus, her rash had completely cleared up! Since then, although we continue to have some teething rash, we never do after a night in the BG 4.0's. Thank you, thank you for such a great product!

Cotton babies customer service has exceeded my expectations. I have been using these diapers for about a year now. I have had no problems. I started off with the velcro because the snaps were not available at the time. The velcro was still working OK, but it just didn't stick as good as in the beginning (when washing they would unstick and get a bit tangled). I sent them in to see what my options were. I cannot sew, or I would have accepted the free velcro replacement kit they offered. I thought they would just replace my velcro for me, and I was happy with that. The PUL was also getting a little cracked and worn, but it is expected after almost a year. I did press my luck and mention how much I liked the snaps and would be VERY HAPPY if the just sent me snaps. Lol, I thought I would just throw that in, never expecting they would actually do it. Guess what? I HAD ALL 12 DIAPERS REPLACED WITH NEW BG 4.0 AIO SNAP CLOSURE DIAPERS! I have sent them so many new customers and have promoted BG diapers so much in the past... I guess karma was on my side. I will continue to tell people how wonderful Cotton babies is, and the quality behind BG diapers. Not only are these the best diaper for your money... the customer service cannot be beat!

i love BG 4.0's! the snaps are awesome and the aplix is great too, way better than the 3.0's. i think they are a good deal for the money especially if you buy a package deal. only thing i would like to see is a cotton insert or bamboo instead of the microfiber.

love these diapers! we have been using them for a month now, my son was 3 weeks early and only 6.7lbs so he didnt fit into them at first but by the 3rd week he fit fine. they are a little bulky and make some of his clothes fit tight but they work great. the only leaks we have had are when we didnt change him often enough, or if we didnt double stuff at night, but we have the hang of it now. The diaper sprayer is awesome and makes cleaning the diapers so easy. We also love the cloth wipes they are so soft and dont irritate his little bottom. I would recommend these to anyone cloth diapering.

Rating:

I LOVE these! My daughter is very petite and I found that the diapers didn't fit very well till she was closer to 12 pounds. I started them on her once she reached 8 pounds and I found that they frequently leaked urine (never poo) out the leg openings. Since she has grown, this doesn't seem to be a problem any more and I think it is just because they fit better.

These are great! I recommend getting the snaps instead of the Velcro though - I have both, and after 7 months the Velcro is wearing out but all the diapers with the snaps look brand new. I wish I had gotten only snaps!

I never even considered cloth diapering..until a friend visited with her daughter..and I saw her use BG 4.0 with velcro. I was so surprised she was using "cloth". I asked to feel it..and when I felt how soft it was...I thought if I were a baby...I'd want to wear THAT! I had tons of questions about cleaning etc..and when I saw hers were all spotless...I was sold. I bit the bullet and stocked up a supply of 24 over the course of 2 months. I have not regretted it. I have a very heavy wetter..and he was going through disposables every night. While I still get leaks if he sleeps on his side...when on his back or belly..they have held up great!!! Also he has not had any blowouts!!!! THe diaper contains the messy ones...isn't that worth it in itself?! The nicest thing is I know what's on my baby's bottom..and know what chemicals are not. Wish I had done this with my first...but at least I started with my second. Yes I do laundry every other day..but am home anyway for naps etc...and it's not forever. They do eventually potty train! Yay for BGs!

Rating:

I LOVE these diapers!!!!! Can't say enough about how great they are. My baby HATES to be in a diaper the minute after it's wet, so we were going through about 15 disposables a day. We were easily spending $70 a month between diapers and wipes. Buying the Bumgenious was really expensive up front, but after the initial expense, you begin saving money because they last so long and can be used for your next baby too. It's awesome how the stains dissappear completely when you dry them in the sun. They look completely new every time I wash them. It's so easy. No more work than just doing a regular load of laundry. I can't see using them on a baby that is under 12-14 lbs. That's when we started using them. Under that weight, I think he might have been swallowed up in them. But I must say, I have been amazed at the flexibility in size. The diapers fit perfect at 14 lbs, 20, etc. They never look or feel too bulky or too small because the snaps adjust them perfectly. Plus, I didn't think my little man could get any cuter, and the bummies just made him that much more adorable. He hates to wear clothes, so if he must run around in just a diaper, he sure has some cute ones. =) Thanks bumGenius for an awesome product!

I've loved these ever since I got them, but now even more. Yesterday, my 22-month toddler (30 lbs) wasn't feeling well and had a massive poop explosion. The diaper contained everything! Side-to-side, front-to-back. Any other diaper would have leaked or shot up the back. Great job at fit and control!

Rating:

Love these! They are our "go-to" diapers. I have both snaps and hook&loop and like them both. I have used them on both a 2 week old, and a 3 year old and they fit both perfectly. If I had to use only one diaper these would definitely be it.

I wish I could give a good review of the 4.0 because the 3.0s did us fine. It's the velcro. Switching the laundry tabs to velcro just doesn't make any sense to me. I was told that they would soften with wear/time, but they have not. Not only is the velcro part harsh against a babies skin (especially when they are laying on it a good portion of their day), but the corners of the tabs are sharp. I'll be sending mine back.

I snatched a pair of snap BG 4.0's during the most recent seconds sale and I have to say I am genuinely impressed with these diapers! The snaps and fit are simply fabulous. Now considering trading in some of our velcro 3.0's for a couple more of these great diapers.

LOVE IT! We started out using prefolds with Flip and Econobum covers, but wanted to use pocket diapers at night for both ease and extra absorbency. I bought one FuzziBunz one-size and one BumGenius 4.0 just to compare. I much prefer the BG! I ordered snaps after reading negative reviews about the velcro wearing out. I love how absorbent the insert is- and yet even when the insert seems totally saturated, my little guy still has a dry bum! I just ordered 4 more of these and imagine I'll get more as budget allows!

I was new to cloth diapering and a friend recommended both BG and fuzzibunz. I tried a couple of both brands first and instantly fell in looooove with BG. They are simply more substantial, have the flap in the back to protect my little one and hold in the mess with no problem. I bought a few of the AIO XS to try them out and liked these very much. The only problem was my little one grew out of them too quickly. But, they are in great shape so I will use them when number 2 comes around! After the XS AIO I tried the 3.0 and the new 4.0's. I love, love, love the 4.0s and the new snap option. With a squirmy newborn the velcro is great but the snaps are a great option for when she starts pulling on the diaper. They are a little bulky for a couple of weeks when you switch from the XS AIO to the 4.0s but now that she is 13lbs the diapers fit wonderfully. I am telling all of my pregnant friends about BG. They hold a ton of liquid without any leaks, are easy to wash, easy to stuff with inserts (we stuff right after laundry so they are ready to go straight from the drawer), and have saved us money. Register for these if you can! I would like some more colors and patterns but that is being really picky when the overall purpose is to keep my baby dry and happy! Enjoy your BG!

Rating:

I have the 3.0s and love them...but over time the velcro tabs do work less and less. They stay on my kiddo (now 2) just fine, but come loose in the laundry, causing them all to stick together. Then pulling them apart only damages the tabs further. So I am VERY excited to see all the BG one-size benefits offered with a snap diaper! Woohoo! I'm not sure I'm ready to reinvest...but I think I will replace some of my velcro ones before baby #2 arrives. I am surprised Cotton Babies doesn't mention the laundry when promoting the snap feature!

I don't think I'll ever love another diaper this much! I used the 3.0's a few times when I first started cloth and while I liked them, I did not like velcro. Well I recently decided to try a couple 4.0's and they are AMAZING! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I am actually selling off a good chunk of my stash to have more. The sizing is perfect. They have the cleanest fit of any diaper I have ever tried and are fairly trim for a pocket. My son can wear his jeans no problem. They are super absorbent, I have had NO leaks with my 16 month old, even at night (regular insert only during the day/naps and for nights a regular paired with newborn or hemp babies doubler). I love the snaps and pretty colors. I love the softness of them. They wash SO well! Yesterday my son had a huge messy poop that covered the entire inside. When I washed it today (with my wonderful bumGenius detergent!) it completely washed out, no stains! They dry super quick on the line too. I normally prefer natural fibers, but this diaper makes me forget all about that. To the mama who had issues with leaking because of the liner coming to the top of the material...sounds like you have a 2.0 not a 4.0. There should be about an inch of PUL inside between the liner and top of the diaper. And it still shouldn't be touching the clothing either way. As for rash cream, MOST diapers like this cannot have regular cream, but there are safe ones. Or you can just use a fleece liner to protect your diapers. No big deal!

I bought these diapers 8 days ago and thought I'd give them a try. Up till then I was very anti-cloth diapers, thinking it'd be messy and not worth the hassle. I couldn't have been more wrong!! We bought 4 outers and 12 inserts (two day-packs) for my 8-month-old and I started diapering him in them right away. I am so in love with them that I'm tempted to just give away the disposables I had on hand when I bought these. They are darling on his little bum, we've had nothing even close to leaking, and we can leave them on him twice as long as a disposable. No rash or discomfort either. I had heard cloth can be bulky, but I don't see that in these dipes at all. I will be cloth-diapering the rest of my future children for sure. Couldn't have been happier with the customer service at the West County location, too. The girls were incredibly sweet and non-pushy. I am so excited to keep using these and to go buy more!! :)

I use mostly cotton prefolds and covers for my baby but I purchased a few of these with the idea that I could use them for babysitters and others inexperienced with cloth diapering. I do not believe these diapers are worth the cost. First, they have a fundamental design flaw in that the liner comes all the way to the top of the cover material -- which means the liner material, which is getting soaked with your baby's urine, is touching the baby's clothes. This causes the diapers to leak if they are not changed immediately after the baby urinates, which is simply not practical. I simply never have these leaking problems with prefolds. Second, I am not a fan of the synthetic material from which these diapers are made. It's soft and fairly trim for a cloth diaper, but in my opinion a diaper that you are not allowed to use diaper cream with or only use specific, expensive creams, is not a practical diaper. Most babies get the occasional diaper rash, especially breastfed babies who get yeast rashes. You need to be able to treat diaper rash when it occurs. And while I do not frequently bleach my prefolds, a little bleach every month keeps them looking fresh and removes build up. Prefolds are basically indestructible whereas using bleach on these diapers will void the warranty. In short, while I am a big fan of cloth diapering, I do not recommend these diapers. You can have half a dozen prefolds and a cover for less than the cost of one of these diapers, and you will have a much more effective diapering system than these diapers.

After many blow outs in disposables and a NASTY chemical burn from her "cruisers" we made the switch to cloth at 4 months. Started out with Bummis Prefolds and LOVE them for at home...but on the go and for my hubby to help with diaper changes we LOVE the 4.0's. We have only had ONE blow out in the 4.0 and I think it was our fault for not doing the snaps tight enough. We also have some Tot Bots in our stash and I do love them and the ease of the aplix....I must say that the 4.0 with snaps are my favorite...they keep our little ones bum dry and rash free!!! Easy to was as well...love our Rockin' Green.

After returning my velcro 3.0 bg's, i have been using the bg 4.0's with snaps for my ten mnth. What a difference! The wider diaper allows my husband to help me stuff without getting his hands stuck. I have no leaking issues and no red marks around my babes thighs. When stains do not come off in the wash, i leave the few on the side, spot wash them and have no problem. Snaps were definitely the way to go, it makes washing time so much easier and less touching the dipes. I am very happy with the improvements and i think my baby girl is as well. Lastly these diapers are very soft on my baby's skin and wicks moisture away well. Sometimes i can't even tell if shes wet. While using the bg diaper sprayer, waste comes off very easily. I would recommend that thing to the world.

After lots of research and trialing different brands, I knew I wanted the BG4.0s with snaps. Diapers are nice, colors are pale, as other reviews write. Most disappointed with customer service. Shipped velcro instead of snaps - poor customer service for Canadians. Was told nothing could be done because I live in Canada. Do not suggest other Canadians to purchase from Cotton Babies.

These are my favorite diapers. I've been using cloth on my now 13.5 mo. old for the past 2.5 months. We have some BG 4.0s, BG Elementals, flips, Rumparooz, and Fuzzibunz, as well as a few prefolds. I love the 4.0s the most. Why? Well: 1) The stay dry technology really keeps my baby's tushie dry, which helps keep him from getting rashes - unlike the cotton Elementals and prefolds. Unlike the flips, though, which are also stay-dry, there's no bunching issue with the 4.0s, hence less rash with these than with flips. 2) The poop also comes off these much more easily than the cotton Elementals or prefolds. 3) They are super-absorbent and rarely leak - more so than fuzzibunz or rumparooz pockets. These are my go-to diaper at night (stuffed with two infant inserts in addition to the regular insert), since it's the only diaper that almost never leaks on my very productive baby who still nurses half the night. I've never once had a poop leak from these. 4) The cloth flap at the front of the diaper is great for shaking out the insert without getting my hands wet (unlike fuzzibunz), and the way the hole for the pocket is constructed makes it easy to shake out the insert (unlike rumparooz), yet keeps the insert from sticking out and wicking or touching baby's skin (like fuzzibunz). 5) They're trimmer than anything but the flips, which is great for my newly walking little one. Aside from all the great stuff - I'm torn between snaps and velcro - the velcro is definitely easier to use, and so far has held up just fine, but I bought mostly snaps due to other reviews which indicated the velcro would wear out after a while. So far, though, no wear and tear issues here. I also do like the internal gussets in the rumparooz, and the lining is a bit softer than in these, but neither of these is a major issue. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that there aren't more interesting colors - would love to see brown, grey, dark blue, red, orange options, which is one reason I tried fb's and rumparooz. Overall a great product - just wish I needed more diapers so I could take advantage of the buy 5 get one free!

I am sorry to give a negative review to such a well loved product, but Bum Genius pocket (and AIO) diapers really disappointed me. I have many different diapers (Grovia, Econobum, Bummi's, Babykicks, Bum Essentials, Minky Bamboo...) And ALL of them are better quality than BGs. Even the Econobums. BGs have a horrible tendency to stain and not come totally clean (while the rest come out fine...,) creating leaks because moisture is then repelled. Also, their velcro is some of the poorest quality I have dealt with in cloth diapers, requiring replacement after only a few months. And they don't send you replacement for the front strip, btw. These diapers have not withstood the test of time.

Rating:

These diapers are wonderful! I have 21 of them that I've been using for over a month now, and I love them. I have both snaps and hook and loop, and my husband and I both feel like we get a better fit with the hook and loop closures. I also feel the hook and loop is a little more user friendly. I have been impressed with the quality of the hook and loop-the tabs stay fastened when washed. We have had some leaks, but overall we've had far fewer leaks with these than with disposable diapers. My only real complaint is needing to use a liner when using diaper rash cream, but I understand the reasoning there. And since using these diapers, we've had fewer instances of diaper rash. I love the new pastel colors, I have noodle, sweet and bubble, and I love all of them. They are nice, subtle colors. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and I would recommend it.

LOVE these. I have 12 BG and 6 fuzzibunz and I wish I had gotten all BG! I have been using them for a few months now and they are still fabulous. We had leaking issues at night with my son, but once I realized I was supposed to use two inserts instead of one we haven't had any problems. A MUST HAVE!!

I am in LOVE with these diapers. I have a 7yo son who we did in cloth (prefolds and covers) from birth till potty training. I also have 2 1/2 yo twin girls I meant to do the same with - but my ambition petered out around 10 months. I am now pregnant w. #4 (a boy) and plan to cloth diaper him - thought I would try these and the Fuzzibuns OS on my girls to see how they go, if that is what I will use for him. I like both - but I think the BG truly fits a bigger baby better (the FBs won't fit my 35 pounder, and are tight on my 29 pounder) and holds more pee. I have also had numerous poopy blow outs from the FBs with my super pooper but have witnessed the BGs contain some violently explosive happenings. I am HOOKED. They wash up beautifully every time, I love the snaps - no diaper snakes in the laundry - my girls like them (one is getting to be a total princess over picking her diaper...). Reasonably trim and super easy to put on. Love, love, love. Kicking myself for not going this route sooner - BUT if I had I probably wouldn't have gotten the snap option. I just can't see how they can improve over the 4.0. Love!

I love my bumGenius. The are a little bulky. They do not fit well on newborrns so I would suggest you try the AIO until your baby is about 10 pounds. Now that my baby boy is 12 pounds they fit very well. I am so pleased with my purchase.

I have both the 3.0's and now some of the 4.0's. I feel like the 4.0's are a much slimmer fit, which is great for fitting my 7 week old in his pants. I have yet to have any leaks and the snaps are excellent with the stretchy tabs. I highly recommend these diapers. My husband, who is a 'no fuss' kind of guy even thinks they are easy! Not to mention a HUGE plus on how much money we're saving!

These are GREAT diapers but not my first choice. They stuff easily, have gental but snug elastic, and I definitely prefer snaps! And the two rows of snaps for size is super nice. They are just as absorbant as cotton BUT cotton is easier to clean and for the same absorbancy without compression leaks (that microfiber can do) My cotton diapers are trimmer and dont leave lint on my babys bottom.

We have a 19 month old. I love the 3.0. At first I was not sure about the idea of washing the diapers and how well they would work. We have used these diapers since he was 8lbs. After the first couple of days of using them we were hooked. We have saved so much money and have help the environment. it is a win win situation. Yes, the velcro was not working after 18 months, but I called the company and they quickly sent out replacement velcro for free. I have order the 4.0 for my next child and can not wait to try these out.

Great diapers. I have 22 month old twin boys and these work great for us. They are my favorites especially for sleeping and going out. I can depend on them not to leak. For the reviewer Kathryn. These are not considered covers. They are meant to be used once and then washed. Flips and Econobums are covers. They can be reused with a clean insert or prefold as many times as you want. It depends on what you are comfortable with. I have never reused one that has poo in it because it always gets on the cover, but I use them twice when there is only pee. We use flips and like them alot.

I first started out using Kushies just at night time. They seemed to do the trick but with ALOT of extra absorpancy liners. And with all the extra liners of course they started to leak. A friend introduced me to bumGenius 4.0 and I have never been happier. For me being a first time mom and brand new to cloth diapers, I wouldn't go any other way now!

This has been my first child using cloth diapers. I thought I would try them since I could get a great deal on seconds! I really haven't even found a flaw and I absolutely love them!!! They keep him dry even when the insert is soaked. They are super easy to care for. My husband even uses them with ease! I tell people about them all the time now! I had to use disposables on a trip recently and at that point I realized how much I really LOVE my cloth diapers. I would definitely recommend these!!!!

Rating:

To answer Kathryn, you do have to wash the entire diaper on each change unless you go with the Flip or econobum system, which may be a better option for you? I have 3.0s, 4.0s (brand new and untested) a couple organics, and the organic Flip system. I have to say I love them all! I haven't tested the flips with a young EBF baby, as I only purchased them after my son was on solids and we have been doing BMs and some pees in the potty (around 7 months). With trips to the potty I was sick of throwing barely damp diapers in the laundry, as you mentioned, so we tried the flips and for us they work great! However, I love the 3.0's for their simplicity, and have to say that though the snaps are great, (especially now that he is old enough to grasp the concept for removal) the aplix system even though it wears, is much more user friendly for those who might not be super comfy with cloth diapering. If your diapers are stuffed and sized as they leave the dryer, its no different than a disposable, YAY! I am TOTALLY sold, as is Grandma (who tries to convince everyone with a baby to use them), Auntie (expecting her first), and especially dad, who listed them as #1 on his list of top 5 essential baby items. I also love the organics, they are soooo soft and cozy, but don't have that dry barrier (which is good with the potty-training/EC but maybe not so good with a little one or through the night) and they seem to be a bit smaller/trimmer fit, which isn't so great for my chunky guy...afraid they may not fit as long as he needs them!

Rating:

Quite simply the BEST cloth diaper out there! We've used hook/loop 3.0s since my son was 3 months old, now he's 13 months and the 3.0s are showing their age. I didn't expect them to get so worn out so quickly, so when the 4.0s came out and I needed more diapers in my stash I gave them a try. AWESOME! The newer hook/loop is wonderful; I've had no problems with these turning into a diaper chain in the wash like the 3.0s. Great absorbancy, even for my heavy wetter. The only time we've had a leak is when he completely soaked through a nighttime diaper and then had runny poo while squirming in his crib (there was simply no more room!). We now use 2 infant and 1 adjustable insert at night - and no more leaks! The butternut is the same color as the 3.0s we have, but I did purchase a twilight and will be returning it since the color is baby blue, not the purplish blue I was expecting.

Rating:

These are the best diapers ever! I thought that honor went to the 3.0's but these are a definite improvement. We have several other one-size brands and not one comes close to the BG's. Like so many others I wish i could exchange my large investment of 3.0 for the 4.0s.

Rating:

These are wonderful diapers. We've been using them on our son since he was two weeks old and have had zero leaks. Even with his still tiny legs, the gussets fit well and we've had no accidents. He is a fairly heavy wetter, yet these diapers keep him nice and dry. They wash beautifully and the covers take very little time to dry when hung. Diaper changes are a breeze because there is no learning curve. They go on and come off just as easily as disposables, so my husband loves them. We're new parents and new to cloth diapering. We've been using Flip and Thirsties covers with prefolds, but the bumGenius are our favorites by far. They are durable, easy to use, and the quality can't be beat. If you're thinking of trying cloth diapers, these are the best you can get for the money and a great way to ease yourself into it.

I literally can not sing the praises of this diaper enough. My only complaint is that they weren't around when I purchased 30 3.0s a year ago!! My 3.0s, though my most dependable diapers aside from my 4.0s, have just not worn as well as I would have hoped for. I am not great with sewing the velcro tabs and am not sure that they are going to even hold up for my new little one coming in January. BUT.. the 4.0 is WONDERFUL. I have not used it on a tiny baby.. as my little one was 13 months old when these came out.. but they fit her perfectly on the middle setting, don't leak.. EVER, and are wearing great. I, of course, opted for the snaps when I purchased a few of these, and oh my gosh... they are just great. If you are looking for a one-size, pocket diaper.. please go with this one. I have a stash of 3.0s, 4.0s, Fuzzi Bunz, Blueberry, Goodmamas... and these, overall, outdo all of my other diapers by far. With proper care.. you will NOT be disappointed. :)

Rating:

I received the 4.0's after trading in the 3.0's when the hook and loop tabs wouldn't stay affixed during washing. The 4.0's are much softer, a little larger, and the hook and loop tabs (after a month and a half) are holding very well. I would ALMOST say they are perfect, except, during overnight use we find urine seeps through the Bum Genius tag (which is stiched into the inside of the diaper) and wets my daughter's sleeper on the right side. Customer service suggested using another doubler overnight to prevent this problem, which we tried (so now, our daughter has the regular insert and two doublers - and, as a result, a very large bum!!), but we are still having this problem. Other than that though, these diapers are nice to look at, durable, and hold in big pees and BMs WAY better than disposables ever did. I would still recommend them, just be advised if your child is a heavy wetter at night, you may have the same problem.

Rating:

I started out using the BumGenius 4.0, and wanted to try some of the other types to make sure I did not like any better. I was worried that when I go to potty train my daughter that she would not be able to tell she was wet, but someone suggested to put a piece of cloth dowm at that time so she will be able to feel that she is wet. I did try the Flips and the Organic BumGenius. I really like the Organic, because you can easily tell when she is wet. I did not care for the Flips. When she would have a BM it would come out the sides because they are not very snug around the legs and it would get all over the cover. I also would change the cover everytime anyway. I like to have a variety of the CD. I would strongly recommend the BumGenius 4.0 or the Organic.

Rating:

I'm a first time expectant mother and am obviously new to CD. After reading reviews I decided to purchase one Flip and one BumGenius to check out each product and figure out if I have a preference. I must say, I'm a little confused by the BG system. The idea of having a layer of cloth between the baby and the insert just says to me that if the baby wets, the barrier is wet with urine too and I wouldn't dare put that dirty diaper back on my baby, meaning I will have to wash the cover with every pee! Am I missing something or does this confuse anyone else? I'd prefer to just be able to have a better pocket to keep the insert on top so as not to get any other part of the diaper dirty.

Rating:

I've been using the bum genius with my 9 month since birth and recently went to these 4.0's and the bigger size and absorbency is wonderful. Very Happy with them, First look at bigger size scared me but it snaps down for that perfect fit.

My 12 month old 23 lbs son can still wear these on the small setting! he is also comfortable on the medium setting but the fact that he can still fit in the small setting is amazing to me! These will be our potty training diapers. We only have one 4.0 ( didn't need new diapers have enough 3.0's but wanted to try it). Honestly I didn't think I would even LIKE Bumgenius starting out with cloth diapering. They are the "popular gateway diapers" and I thought I could find something i liked better or as well that was not just the popular brand that everyone used. I tried a few styles and types and guess what? I liked the Bumgenius! I guess I know why its so well loved, it is an easy system and it holds in the poo's like no disposable ever could!

Rating:

This was my first attempt at cloth diapering. I loved these! I only wish I could get more! As soon as I am able, we are going to transition completely to cloth. I thought they would be soggy, but my 15 month old's bottom was completely dry even after an overnight! My husband and I are both very satisfied with this product!

Rating:

I recently got the 4.0 cloth diapers, and was so excited to try them out. I do love them! They are so absorbent that I have a hard time telling if my daugher has a wet diaper. I have to remove the diaper and see if the insert is wet. I am going to try the organic type next, that you don't have to stuff and maybe I will be able to tell if she is wet.

Love these! I only have one, but it is always first in hand when the laundry is done! The velcro is SO MUCH better than my 3.0's. I will be refreshing all of mine in time for the new baby :) Just a warning though... "bubble" isn't grey or light blue as it appeared on my monitor... it is lavender. Not the best choice for my 2 year old boy :(

When the Velcro wore out of my 3.0s, they were kindly replaced with these 4.0s. (Great, prompt customer service throughout that whole transaction!) These appear to be slightly bigger than the 3.0s, which is nice because I worried about the future fitting ability on my 9-month old 60% daughter. My only complaint is the colors. My heart broke when I could not get my dark colors exchanged. Be aware: the lighter colors are VERY light. They are pretty, but not gorgeous like the bright, bold 3.0s. I remain a BG fan but hope they bring back the stunning color selection.

I have to say I LOVE these. I have been using BG 3.0 one sizes now for 3years...on my second daughter with them and I wanted to order her something new. I orderd 12 of these with snaps and I am so impressed. They are super soft and absorbant and the snaps work great. She is 2 months old and after wetting one her skin still feels dry. They are washing good so far and I am glad I added them to my stash!

I got my 4.0's in the mail a few days ago & I am IN LOVE. I use cloth on both my 7 month old granddaughter & my 30 pound, 36 inch, 95% grandson. The 3.0's were all but too small but these 4.0's fit GREAT! I am concerned that if he doesn't potty train in the next 6 months he may not be able to wear them after that because he is on the next to the last snap. The 3.0's that I double stuffed at night were barely fitting & these fit fine even double stuffed for over night. Since they are always under his clothing when we go out color is really no issue for us.

I LOVE these diapers! When I first started using cloth diapers I bought a few gDiapers, and while they worked well i hated that all the parts touching my 5 month old son werent soft and looked uncomfortable. The bumGenius are soft everywhere and absorb great. I even use them without the inserts on my 20 month old to get a jumpstart on potty-training. The only downside I can see is that the one-size diapers look like they could be a little uncomfortable where the snaps are close to my sons legs, but I just ordered a 6 pack of bumGenius and can't wait for them arrive!

Absolutely amazing diapers!!! I started using cloth just a few months ago on my now 7-month-old daughter. Our first bumGenius diapers were 3.0s, and they were great, and these 4.0s are even better! The hook and loop is so soft, easy to care for (just make sure the laundry tabs are securely fastened before washing), and a breeze to use...and the snaps are a fantastic option as well. I'd recommend getting some of both...we use hook and loop for daytime and snaps for night and naps (to keep prying hands from removing her own diaper). :) Easy to stuff, extremely absorbent, and super cute on baby! As some reviewers have mentioned, the new pastels are extremely light, but I have all 3 new colors and think they're very nice. You won't be disappointed with these diapers!

OMG!!! i am new to cloth diapering with my 18month old, at first i just got some used diapers from my local freecycle, the leaked so bad that i almost went back to throw aways. However i got the new 4.0's and LOVE them yet to have a leak or any problems, still have yet to convince my huband though he still hates the idea, but does say they are easy to use. the only thing is now im scared about the velcro. with everyone saying they stop working easly. kinda wish i got them with snaps. but would recomend BG's to anyone love love Love them.

I was a previous 3.0 user with my daughter, after almost a year her velcro went out and we sent the whole lot back to be replaced, when they came back they magically didnt fit her anymore. As sad as it made me, we moved on. I was so excited to see the release of the 4.0s and quickly traded in all of my diapers to upgrade for only HALF of what I did half. I was so excited, and sadly, quickly disappointed. Not only are the new colors so light that they look faded, but the 4.0s dont offer that much of a change in the rise to make for a big difference with my 17 month old daugther (in the 90 percentile height, 45 for weight). Im very sad by this because we LOVED our bgs and the way they fit and held up. I also was a fan of the bright bold colors, now were left with faded washed out looking colors that match NOTHING in her wardrobe. Im debating returning them, but have yet to make a final decision on that. Looks like potty training alot earlier than we thought L::(

I have a baby due in December and want to use these great diapers. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on buying either the snaps or the velcro. It seems that everyone likes the snaps, but will they go small enough for a newborn? Thanks for the input!

Love the 4.0's. I have been using the 3.0 for 3 years and 2 kids and they held up great except for the velcro tabs which i kept having to replace. I ordered one with the snaps the minute I saw it and I am so glad they finally put snaps on them. They are more durable and i dont have a problem with the tabs anymore. I got sick of having to replace the velcro tabs. I recommend them to everyone who asks especially now since they have the new 4.0 version with snaps!! Bum genius works great against leaks and i have not had any problems with leakage, even using them over night. ( And i have had no problem using arm n hammer essentials detergent at walmart or planets at hannfords for anyone who wants to know :)

can someone please tell me what i can wash the 4.0's in ? any old detergent from a main retailer?

I bought 3 new 4.0 in snaps and they are great! I love the bubble (lavendar) and noodle (pale yellow) colors. However, the sweet color is way too light and looks white. I was hoping for a bluish/aqua, but just looks too light. The quality is great and these will last longer in the wash than the old velcro ones. I will buy more when the prints and bright colors come!

Absolutly LOVE this Diaper. My son is a large boy, and at 5 months, he was in a Size Large in the 3.0 AIO. With this one, he is on the Medium setting, and it fits him great! Love the Snaps as well since he has figured out how to undo his velcro. Thank you bG for another great, and better Diaper!

I LOVE the new 4.0!! It's soft and fluffy but not to much bulk. The new sizing is perfect our 18 month old who is skinny but tall and on the large rise of the 3.0 so thankfully were in the medium on 4.0. The hook and look is so much better compared to my 3.0 and the new laundry tabs really hold so no more laundry chains when coming out of the wash. I love how they fit snug and don't leak!! Our stash mostly consists of 4.0 and I can't wait to put our second in them when he's born. BG is what brought me to cloth and with there 4.0 I love it even more!!

I recieved the new 4.0 a few days ago and have tried it out a few times. The improvement in size has been a good one. My 18 month old 30 lb 34 inch son was out growing the 3.0's. So the higher rise was just what I was looking for. I choose to go with velcrow because over all I am not a fan of snaps. The new velcrow is much better. And the inner liner is very soft. I had one 3.0 that I bought 3 years ago new, and I dont remember it being that fluffy and soft. But I am loving that this diaper so soft. The one downside of the diaper for me was the color. I ordered the new color sweet. Sweet is paler than pale. When we opened it up it looked white. I was hoping for pastel green. The function and quality of the diaper is why I like it so much. But wish I would have gone with the darker green. I love the 4.0 and will invest in more in the future.

LOVE THEM!! I was like others who loved the 3.0's but hated the velcro. The 4.0's are great and I'm loving the snaps. My 7 month old who is probably around 23 pounds now fits great in them. My 2 year old is 34 pounds and he fits in the 4's better than the 3's (he's potty trained but wears them to bed) I am so happy with the elastic and snap changes. Our old 3.0's were starting to leak because the elastic was worn out. Now with the 4.0's, I can easily change the elastic when it wears. They seem less bulky too. The diaper itself is the "perfect diaper." Before I got mine in the mail, I read some negative reveiws about the new colors. I didn't understand why some were complaining about something so minor, but now I do understand. I'm not impressed with the new colors. They are too close to white or off white. I'll be happy when the bold colors and prints come out (even though I swore I wouldn't buy anymore...ha, ha)

Just got the new 4.0 with the snaps and LOVE THEM!! The snaps are a wonderful improvement over the velcro - when washing, the 3.0s would all get stuck together because of the velcro. No such problems with the snap closures. Love, love, love these diapers! I have recommended them to all my pregnant friends. :)

I just got my new 4.0 with snaps in the mail. I was eagerly awaiting their arrival, and am excited to try them on my little one soon. They appear to be a bit trimmer, even the inserts seem a little thinner, which I am excited about because my girl is a skinny minnie. I love the snaps; the velcro on my 3.0's has been starting to give me trouble. The only downside... I was VERY disappointed in the color. I ordered Bubble, and was excited to have a lavender in my stash (I have every other color BG's have been offered in), but these are soooo light. I showed them to my husband, and at first glance, he thought they were white. His second guess was gray. So, instead of having a nice light purple that I was anticipating, I got something that resembles a dirty white. I should have stuck with one of the colors I already had.

We just got our new 4.0 with snaps in the mail. My son is 14 months old and 24 pounds. The fit of this diaper is so much trimmer than the 3.0 diapers and I love the snaps compared to the scratchy velcro on our old 3.0 diapers. The quality is high and I like the subtleness of the new colors. The only trouble we had when my son wore this diaper today was that his little belly sticks out and made the front of the diaper flip out after spending an hour crawling, climbing, sitting, walking, etc. I am just concerned that this might cause urine to wick onto his clothes. I may play around with the snaps some more to make sure we're getting the right fit--we had the rise snapped up one level and the sides three in on either side. Maybe he needs a low rise fit--LOL! I may actually see if just snapping the middle up higher helps the diaper to not fold out in the front so much. But overall I think this is the best diaper we've found yet as far as trimness goes! And it fits much better around his chunky thighs than the 3.0 diaper. Id love to read some reviews from people who have used the 4.0 velcro diapers.

I have been using the 3.0s for years and now just bought 3 of the new 4.0 to try out since my main complaint with the 3.0 was how easily the velcro wears out. I bought 3 of the new 4.0 in the snap version and Im pretty impressed! I love that the inserts slide in easier and they will fit bigger babies although my three year old who is a tall 41" girl still fits in the 3.0 with room to spare. She is potty trained in the day so we just use them at night. My one complaint with the snaps is that I cant see them working well on a larger child. My 9 month old is on the 3rd to last snap and while I could get them on my 3 year old, it was on the last snap and she is a string bean! I can see how chunkier toddlers would have a hard time fitting into these. All in all I am happy with the changes that have been made. BRING ON THE BRIGHTER COLORS AND PRINTS! So tired of the boring pastels!

Just received bumGenius 4.0- The fit is perfect on my little one. The snaps are secure. AND it seriously holds a lot of wet! I ordered Twilight and really think it's a beautiful color... yet, I too would prefer more bold, warm, and rich colors. Color is just a preference, the practicality of this diaper has won me. The design is outstanding!

We just used our new 4.0 today! My daughter grew out of the 3.0s at 14 months and we had to switch to flips, fuzzi bunz and happy heinys.... i am so happy to say the nwe 4.0s fit her beautifully! she is now 2 and 36 pounds and it is a perfect fit! just like the flips! the new snap design is amazing, we're so excited about it! If only the colors were a little bolder and more exciting for such an amazing diaper! I'd also love to see the fleece inner return.....

i did a little experiment to check the absorbancy and the two inserts together hold almost 2 cups of water! thats alot of tinkle.... the color was kinda diappointing though- i ordered grasshopper cuz it looked like a nice bright green and it was kind of lime-ish. still cute though!

LOVE your diapers!!!! It's all i use for my baby! I have to agree though the new colors are not my fav. I got my sweet in the mail and was practically white. I will wait to order more 4.0 when you bring back the brights and prints. Can't wait for those! thanks for great quality diapers! Most of mine are 2nds and have been wonderful! Not one complaint about the function of these diapers!

I was VERY excited to receive my 4.0 in the mail today. I ordered snaps in "sweet." The snaps are great and the diaper is great. My one comment is that "sweet" is VERY PALE, VERY VERY PALE, like practically white. The only part where you can actually get a good idea of what the color is suppose to be is the back tabs that the snaps are on. I do understand that the new colors were going to be pastel, but this is still lighter than I was expecting. So I'm a little sad that I tried one of the new colors when I should have stuck to the original ones. Other than that I've always been very happy w/ BGs.

I love you gals. I was sitting here surfing the web, wishing I could buy new diapers that were just like BG 3.0's but had snaps... and voila! Here they are. I'm sold. These will be the best. I can't wait! Yay! Thanks!!!
