I have this carrier and the organic ergo carrier. This one really is cooler which is great in the heat and we also use it for hiking. however the original ergo does have more padded shoulder pads, because of this the original is my first choice. the shoulder pads on the performance are like a backpack, they do not have squishy padding but rather thin padding covered in mesh which can be itchy. but that is why it is more breathable and wicks moisture. the material where the baby sits is very soft and breathable. also the waist is contoured in the performance which makes it easier lift your legs higher (like if your hiking). its a great carrier for the summer and active parents, but i needed a softer more padded carrier along with this

I'm a larger chesty woman and this carrier makes it easier for me to carry my daughter. I also have a herniated L4 disc and don't have half the pain I experienced from other carriers. The straps are wide and comfortable. I also like that my daughter's legs are supported instead of just dangling.

I love this carrier! It works well on both my husband (6'3") and I (5'3") with easy adjustment. The straps are soft and comfortable on the shoulders. Carrying my 20lb 7 month old feels like he's as light as air. It's easy to put on and take off, including wearing on the back. I recommend this to everyone!
