My kids and I decided to make homemade Christmas ornaments using salt dough this year. We haven’t done this before, and I really wanted to start doing things that I’ll be able to keep and look at years from now. Are you wondering how to make great salt dough? All you’ll need is flour, salt, water, a rolling pin, and cookie cutters. Then, if you want to paint your ornaments (we did!), then you’ll also need some paint and paintbrushes. Real Mom Talk: Summer Activities for the Family

Finding summer activities for kids who range in age can be challenging.  Older kids get bored.. the younger guys can’t sit still, so what’s a good middle ground? For the last few summers, I’ve watched seven (yes, seven) kids, ranging in ages 1-13. From this experience, I’ve found it IS possible to have a good summer that’s packed with engaging, budget-friendly activities for everyone. Hike/Walk/Ride: Everyone, not matter the age, enjoys spending time outdoors and getting a good dose of fresh air. Head to the park or bike trail and let the older kids bring their scooter if there’s a path. Valentine’s Day is such a fun holiday and I have a DIY that’s stylish and fun. For this DIY I choose a pair of pants for the article of clothing, but you can use a tee, onesie, ect.  What you will need: Leggings Fabric of your choice Heat ‘n Bond or Iron-on Hem Tape (You can find this at any craft store and Walmart) Pencil Paper Scissors  Pins  Iron How to: 1.
