Hemp Babies Raw Silk Liners - Anti-Bacterial and Moisture Wicking to Keep Baby Dry. Super absorbent natural fibers!
Silk is the only 100% natural wicking material able to help keep little bottoms drier. Silk has natural anti-bacterial properties that may keep yeast and diaper rash at bay. Hemp Babies Raw Silk liners are 100% natural, but not certified organic. Made of 100% raw silk. Liner measures 5" x 12".
Designed by a mom and made in the U.S.A.
I bought these because I was looking for a natural product that wicks away moisture because my son is having problems with rashes. However this product did nothing to wick away moisture. The fleece liners worked great for us but not these. I really wish these would have worked because I go for natural products as much as possible.
I haven't actually bought these, but as I research them I'm appalled by the reviewers here-- everything I've read is that these are NOT to be washed along with diapers, because that strips their natural oils (which make them antibacterial & antifungal). They need to be treated like wool-- hand washed (or at the least washed on gentle) with very gentle soap, and line dried (that disinfects as well) or dried on LOW for a short time at most! No wonder some people are complaining of them wearing out!
These liners are RAW SILK. They are not stiff, they are just fine on my son's bottom. They cured his horrific diaper rash in 3 days when nothing else was working. I use them every night now.
I have an update: I washed these once before using and have used and washed them three times and now they are really soft. I wash them with my cotton diapers so a hot wash and dried on high. They are a little rough out of the package, so if softness is important to you, you may want to prep them just like you would with cotton products. But they are really soft now, I swear!
I love these liners so far, I have 2 of them and will be purchasing more. First off they are not extremely rough. They are not super soft, definitely not like silk but they are just fine. They are rougher out of the package, they soften up just a bit after you wash them. They are almost as soft as my baby wipes, which are 100% cotton flannel so very soft. They are just as soft as any prefold. So I have no problem putting them next to my baby's skin. He only wore them throughout 2 diaper changes, so I can't say for sure but they seemed to clear up his moderate diaper rash some. They work well, like I expected them to but they aren't magic. So if you're expecting some type of diaper rash miracle (I wasn't) you'll be dissapointed. They work as well as any diaper cream, that doesn't mean you'll see a lot of results after one use. I loved them though, and they caught a TON of poop so it will make my pocket diapers really easy to clean.
