Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Tricia on Friday 16 December, 2011I like this wrap more than I thought I would. The whole wrap/tie aspect is more work than I want to put in say - while exiting my vehicle on an errand, but as long as I know ahead of time its not uncomfortable to just wear over my clothes out of the house. My baby is now 4 weeks old and he loves it. I wear it around the house (as does my husband) whenever he gets fussy because he immediately falls asleep when in it. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Helena on Sunday 04 September, 2011 We love our Moby. At first, I was using a ring sling, but felt like my son got too crunched up and kind of smooshy in it. I was constantly readjusting him. When we got our Moby, he was a month old, and after a day or so of getting used to using it, it was easily the most comfortable way to carry him.
He is five months now and very strong. I love that I can carry him securely and he has the freedom to see what is going on around him. It could certainly be more breathable and a bit longer so that my very tall husband could feel comfortable using it, but I spend hours every day wearing my baby and have never felt like he was uncomfortable or unsafe.
I have a pretty aqua colored Moby and get many compliments on it, and many exclamations from older women who wished they had had one when they were raising children. I would recommend the Moby to any parent with a tiny baby, as long as they are of a fairly typical size. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Sabra on Wednesday 06 July, 2011 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I love my Moby! It is by far the most comfortable carrier to use. I use mine most while grocery shopping and my little one sleeps while I shop. I also love it to use when I'm out and don't have anywhere to lay her down to nap. It is a little warm in hot weather but I'm so thankful to be able to let her sleep that I don't mind! I have two and use them all the time. I can put one in the car and have one at home or use one while the other is in the wash. It is a little complicated to learn how to put on but once you practice a couple of times it's easy. And because it's so comfortable, it's worth the learning curve. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jessica on Wednesday 13 April, 2011 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I love my moby! This is the best and only carrier you need for a newborn. It can be a little overwhelming to figure out, but is very easy after a couple of tries. And of course the more you use it the more second nature it becomes. The biggest downside for the moby for me is that you cannot (or it isn't recommended) to use as a back carrier. I personally have a moby & maya wraps, and an ergo carrier and rotate through all of them several times a week. If I had to just choose one to start out with, it would be the moby. And it's also the best value. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Danielle on Monday 01 November, 2010 These are absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I don't know what I would do without it! For fussy days it's perfect. I put my lil one in it and he's fast asleep or happy in no time. It's also like having extra hands ... you may not be as fast getting things done but you can do them and with a lil one that's really saying a lot! Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Wendy on Sunday 25 April, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I really like this carrier. I got this to use with my newborn baby until he grows into the ErgoBaby carrier. I've used a ring sling before, and I'm not coordinated enough to make that comfortable for us. The Moby Wrap is easy to put on and baby goes easily in and out of it. I've only used the tummy to tummy carry. It is more complicated to put on than a Mei Tai or soft structured carrier. I have trouble making sure I don't get it twisted across my back. If I wear it without baby in it, the shoulders tend to fall down around my arms so it doesn't work well to have it on and pop baby in and out as he needs--which is what I was hoping for. I end up using it more for taking walks or shopping than carrying him around the house. Compared to $80 for a Mei Tai and $100+ for an ErgoBaby, the price of this carrier is great. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Kellie on Tuesday 20 April, 2010 I bought this for my 2nd child after having tried a Baby Bjorn with my 1st (she HATED it). I read MANY reviews about different carriers, but chose this as the most economical and versatile. It arrived when my son was four weeks old. From the first time I put him in there, he LOVED it. He was 30 lbs by the time he was 9 months--and it was still comfortable to carry him because of how the weight is distributed. He will be two years old this week, and I still put him in here (in front, facing me) when he is really upset or just in need of a little snuggle time. I have tried using it as a back carrier for my three year-old daughter, but not as a serious attempt (was just trying it to see how it would work)--even so, I am quite certain I could comfortably carry her, at 41 pounds, on my back. I recommend this to all my friends. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Michele on Thursday 25 March, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Wonderful, comfortable, and easy carrier to use. My 2 month old and I absolutely Love our moby! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Barbara on Sunday 21 March, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase This is the most wonderful carrier I have ever used, and being on baby #3, that's quite a few. I've tried all kind of sling, backpacks, and front carriers, none of them have been as useful as the Moby. My son has been napping in it for three hours while I actually am able to get housework done! I'm going to buy myself a second one for when this one is dirty! When I pull out the wrap she gets excited! Within minutes she is asleep if tired. It is GREAT at the grocery store because I have both hands! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Anna on Thursday 27 August, 2009 This sling was a LIFESAVER - quite honestly one of the best $40 I could have spent. With my first I had two different types of slings that went over my shoulder and my shoulder would throb after a while - also my baby never seemed entirely happy or comfortable in them. With the Moby my baby calms down, falls asleep, and then I have both hands free to do laundry, play with my other daughter, and make dinner. I read the comments about it being warm and it can get warm, a bamboo fabric that is more breathable might help....but I just strip my son down to a onesie and pop him in. I'd rather be warm than listen to a crying baby! Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Ashley on Saturday 04 July, 2009 I used this with my son in the first few months before he could use the Ergo Baby carrier without the insert. At first I thought it looked confusing, but found it quite easy to use. He seemed to enjoy being in it and while it was mostly in winter when I used, we didn't get too hot. I think this wrap/kangaroo pouch style is ideal for newborns as it's more womblike and keeps them closer to your heartbeat. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Christina on Tuesday 21 April, 2009 I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Moby Wrap. I got it for our second child after I wasn't completely satisfied with the baby bjorn we used with our first. I love it. my son is only 3 weeks old, so I haven't tried a lot of the holds, but he loves it. He'll snuggle in and go to sleep almost immediately, leaving my hands free to tend to a toddler or actually do a little housework. I'm really glad I bought it. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Angela on Sunday 01 February, 2009 The material is very hot and not breathable at all, just wearing the wrap around the house without the baby in it makes me hot, once the baby is in it is unbearable, I can only assume my son gets even hotter than I do in this thing, he gets fussy after being in it for a short while. The wrap does hold the baby very securely and is very versatile. I really like the concept of it so I will be searching for a similar one in a more breathable fabric and weave, like a medium-weight linen. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Siobhan on Saturday 31 January, 2009 I bought the Moby for my daughter on the way since regular slings pulled too much on my shoulder when carrying my son. I decided to try it out on my 18 mo boy, and even he fits in it comfortably. It's really easy to put on (even put the baby in without help), and it's very comfortable. With the wrap it distributes the babies weight evenly over your body so it doesn't strain any particular spot, such as your should or back. It's very easy to adujst the baby while they're in the wrap. I can't wait to see how it works with yoga when my daughter arrives. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Thursday 20 November, 2008 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I own at least five carriers in total (fleece sling, babybjörn, Snugli, frame carrier). The Moby is my favorite. The little bit of extra time it takes to wrap him up on my back is totally worth it. I have a big baby, so the front carry got to be a little too cumbersome, and it would stretch and sag just a little too much to be comfortable for very long. I couldn't wait until he was ready to be carried on my back! He's finally there, and I will put him on my back anytime, it's so comfortable. I find the rucksack carry to be the best, and the length of the Moby lets me wrap it one more time around his butt to keep him extra secure. I still need to check in the mirror to make sure that he's very secure, but once we get it, he stays there, and it's great! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jolene on Monday 03 November, 2008 Of my three carriers (Maya wrap, Baby Bjorn, and Moby) this is by far the most comfortable, supportive, and easy to use. I have back problems and this is the only wrap that holds a child securely so that the baby does not pull on you. I LOVE IT!!! It is a snap to use and can just be thrown in the washer. I can do my yoga practice carrying the baby in it. It is worth every penny and if I had more pennies I might buy a couple more to have different colors! :) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Sharon on Saturday 06 September, 2008 Love this wrap! Sure wish I had it with my first baby. Now I'm about ready to have my 5th and I purchased this to have my hands totally free. I have an Ergo and an Over the Shoulder sling which are both great but the baby won't be big enough for the Ergo for a while and the sling always feels like it's pinning one shoulder and arm to my side which drives me nuts. Plus the neck ache, oh my gosh. I tried the Moby with my 19 mos. old on my back and it was so comfortable and she loved it too. The material is so soft! I'm sure my new guy will love it.
