Imse Vimse Flushable Diaper Liners Reviews (38) Write Review Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Erin on Sunday 31 January, 2010These are wonderful! They make changing a messy diaper so easy. Also, i found that you can wash them with your diapers (only the ones that were wet and ot poopy) and reuse them. When you wash them they work just as well and are much softer that way. I love these. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Katherine on Thursday 21 January, 2010 I love these liners, they make life at our home much easier. They almost always catch all the poop. We haven't had any problem with rashes with their use. Definietly recommend using them. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Natalie on Friday 01 January, 2010 I've used these liners and the Bummis liners and I like these MUCH better. True, they aren't quite as soft, but they are bigger and they don't slide around as much so we've been able to catch a lot more poop with these. Plus it really does work to wash and reuse. I love them! If you're having problems with diaper rash try putting a little cornstarch on baby's bum overnight. Also, including a little baking soda in the bathwater really helps. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jen on Tuesday 08 December, 2009 I am so glad I discovered these! My child's poo is pretty sticky sometimes, so these save me a LOT of trouble. If the poo isn't completely solid, liquids leak through and CAN still stain the diaper, but at least you don't have to scrape/dunk/spray the diapers!!
These liners are what sealed the deal that our new daycare provider would use our cloth diapers, since they make it sooo easy to clean up.
We use these every day, and the ONLY time my child has had a diaper rash was when he didn't get changed enough at a previous daycare! They are not made of very soft material, but I haven't heard any complaints :) If you have issues with irritation (I don't have _any_clue_ why diaper rash would occur with these!), you should try the Bummis Bio-Soft Liners, which are definitely softer (but are not able to be washed).
I love the fact that I can save money and waste less by washing the ones that were not pooed on. As long as you don't stick a finger through, they will catch poo after a few washings. Because they can be washed and hold together and that we have a septic system, I do not flush the liners.
Love them! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Sophia on Saturday 05 December, 2009 If you are having rash trouble with the liners you need to change your child more often. My daughter is now 11 months old and I was able to solve the rash problem by checking her every two hours. If trying to remember to change your baby is a problem, I suggest you buy a baby clock. I bought an Itzbeen clock that you can set in half hour increments and up to 24 hours. I use bumGenius AIO's. If you change regularly, you will not have to use any rash cream. I am a mother of four ages 15 years to 11 months. I used cloth diapers on all of them. All liners that do not have solids are reused and washed with my diapers. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jamie on Friday 04 September, 2009 Liked the idea of just being able to flush the liner and solid waste down the toilet, but I was concerned about the liner against my daughter's skin. I was right to be concerned...she broke out and got all red. Needless to say we discontinued the use of this product. Good concept though. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Tuesday 25 August, 2009 I tried these when my daughter first started solids and was very hopeful. Unfortunately they gave her horrible diaper rashes. She would get better and I would start using them again and right away she would get a rash. On top of that, they would shift around in the diaper and sometimes the poo would end up on them and sometimes not. I've decided to just give up and spray/swish the diapers. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Nathan on Wednesday 22 April, 2009 Love these liners. They are flushable and work incredibly with removing the poops from the diaper. Coincidentally they keep the diaper from staining as well. We used them after our baby was about 9 months old when the poops got out of control. As a newborn they were not needed. Also, sometimes if we just put the diaper on our little girl and then she poops immediately we will remove the liner with the poop and leave the dry diaper on her since the diaper is still dry and clean. :) Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by senia on Tuesday 21 April, 2009 very helpful when disposing of the poo. they are not the softest material but we've had no complaints or rashes from this product. we do wash and reuse these if they have not been pooed on (they survive about two rounds of wash and dry before completely deteriorating.) Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Rachel on Wednesday 25 March, 2009 Liners are rough and gave my daughter a rash. Although they did act as a good barrier I would recommend a toilet sprayer to clean diapers over this product. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Emily on Friday 13 March, 2009 I tried the Bummis brand first and while they are softer off the roll that seems to make them funtion less optimally. ImseVimseare longer then I need but I just fold them down. They soften once wet, which we all know happens pretty quickly, and because they are sturdier you could wash and air dry the ones that were only wet which saves you a little more and probably halps them break down before being flushed. Also I toss wet only in the trash sometimes to cut down on how much go into our septic tank. A little nervous about that.... So far I really like these, especially since they are cheaper than the Bummis. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Julie on Tuesday 23 December, 2008 These are awesome and make cloth diapering a breeze! I cut all mine in half and they have lasted me a long time. Must have for sure!! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Crystal on Friday 05 December, 2008 GET THESE!!! they are great, lift the mess out of the diaper and flush!! They resemble fabric softner sheets, they are pretty soft to the touch and stay in place. I get the larger size and cut in half for smaller diapers. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Amanda on Monday 24 November, 2008 My husband & I love these and I'm coming back for more! They make most poo disposable a breeze! When I ran out I decided to try paper towels as a liner to catch the poo. While they did work for that purpose, they ended up giving my daughter the worst rash ever. So now I'm buying more if these...it's worth every penny and on pack lasted me over 4 months since I could wash and re-use the pee only liners a few times. ***FYI to one of the previous reviewers....Cotton Babies told me, when I asked, that these liners are NOT thick enough to use as a preventative measure for keeping rash cream off the diapers. They recommend using a cloth...like a baby wash cloth...which is what I do...and I wash the cloths separately from the diaps....I also use separate wipes when she has rash cream on and wash them separately. ***If you EVER want to know how to best care for your diaps, just e-mail Cottonbabies directly...they have a quick response time and answer each and every question you have. I really do love them! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Sarah on Tuesday 11 November, 2008 Also I just wanted to mention that these are BIODEGRADABLE. That doesn't mean the DISSOLVE. Just because you ran them through the wash a couple of time and they came out intact it doesn't me they won't break down. It will take time, not a lot of time, but much less than you think. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Sarah on Tuesday 11 November, 2008 I love these liners. My baby hasn't had any problems with diaper rash like the other ladies. We put one of these in everytime we put a new diaper on him. It's great because the pee goes through to the diaper but it catches any poop. It saves us from having to hose off poopy diapers. We just pick up the liner with two fingers and drop it in the toilet. Flush, and the smell is gone. I really think it's made our diapers last longer. Plus they are so cheap and the quanity you get it so large, why not? I've tried other liners. "Softer" liners, and they just don't get the job done. Again, no problem with rashes. Plus, when we use A&D on his bum, it keeps in from getting on the cloth diaper, which you don't want. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jane on Friday 17 October, 2008 These have really not worked for me. I bought them to use when my baby had a sore bottom and I wanted to protect the diaper from rash cream. They do not work for this - the liner 'scruntches up' inside the diaper and the cream gets on the diaper anyway. They are also very papery and rough feeling - why use a liner when you've bought organic cotton AIO BG's to go against the skin? I'm afraid I have to use disposables when we have a really bad case of diaper rash, or I carry on regardless with the BG's and the diaper rash clears up quickly on its own. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Kenneth on Saturday 13 September, 2008 In my opinion these liners are too rough for our babies bottom. They are more like really thin paper. Also, because they are more like thin paper than other liners, I've noticed that when our daughter goes #2, the poop tends to run down the back of the liner. This is more of a problem when babies are newborn as the poop isn't as solid. Wow, all that to say I'd recommend the Bummis Bio-Soft liners, but I don't think they are available here. Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Kendra on Saturday 02 August, 2008 I love the idea of these, but this particular brand is rough to me. They do the job but are not as soft as some other brands. I also wonder about how well they break down when they are disposed of..they came out of the 3 wash cycles and dryer still intact. hmmm Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Wednesday 18 June, 2008 I use these liners on both my 20mo. old and my 3mo. old and they work great. We use BG 3.0, and I use the toddler size insert for both kiddos. It fits great into the diaper and I like that it is wide enough and long enough to hang over the sides & back to help contain poo better- unlike some others have said allowing some liner to hang over DOES NOT cause leaks for us- just the opposite actually- everything is contained better! I also like that they are both long enough to hang over in the back and still have extra up front to help wipe away more poo (like you do when taking off a disposable) so you have less mess to wipe up! They work well enough for NB poo unless the liner has slid(i.e. not put in well). They are a little rough, but that has not caused any problems for my kids, even when they were newborns. It is also true they stick to baby's skin when wet, but my kids don't seem to mind and it hasn't caused any rashes or other problems. I don't have to dunk or rinse my diapers at all using these- GREAT PRODUCT! View all 38 reviews |
