Reviewed by Greta on Friday 18 January, 2013 When I purchased this, we were pretty happy - the price per wash was reasonable, I liked the recyclable packaging, and it seemed to get the diapers clean. However, after many months of use now (our one package lasted that long!) I'm not planning to purchase it again. It seems to give my daughter rashes, it took me a long time to realize that it's probably the detergent. Once I realized I started using HALF the recommended amount (part of why it's lasting so long!) and that seemed to help, but if I overscoop even the tiniest bit we're back with rashes again. And now they've changed the packaging so it's no longer recyclable... I'm moving on to Planet, or back to Nellie's. Rating:  [5 of 5 Stars!]

After just a day and a half of using the diapers washed in it, my son had horrible diaper rash. So we bought the bumgenius detergent hoping it would help- and it did! We've been using it for weeks now and no more diaper rash. Diapers get wonderfully clean and it's great for my son's super sensitive skin! Rating:  [1 of 5 Stars!]

I used the sample pack of this on my daughter's indian prefolds. They came out of the dryer very rough and after using them her little bottom became very dry. I am now having to wash them until they return to their former softness. I just hope it doesn't take too many washings! Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Carra on Saturday 22 September, 2012 I tried the sample pack and my diapers came out SO clean! I fell in love with the detergent and loved how easy it was (instead of using three different mixes to get my diapers clean) and how cheap it was!!! It lasts forever!
BUT my daughter started getting diaper rashes again (one of the reasons we switched to cloth). I thought they needed to be stripped, and I tried with no success. Then I figured out it was the detergent. the rashes started right after I switched to the BG detergent. Its only been three days on my old mix and her skin already looks so much better...
When my daughter gets out of diapers (hopefully soon!) then I will go back to this detergent to clean my two boys' diapers! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Linda on Monday 10 September, 2012 I havee been using this for a month on my Freetime diapers. So far they are comning out clean and not stinky! I have a top loading HE washer and use the bulky cycle. I do a cold rinse. Then I wash hot with one scoop of detergent and an extra rinse. My box was pretty banged up when received so I am glad they changed the packaging! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase This is my favorite diaper detergent. In fact, this is what I use for all our laundry. I have a front loader HE, and slightly hard water. I do add extra water to my machine through the soap dispenser for diaper loads, and use extra detergent. I have no complaints and plan to continue using this detergent. I have also used charlies. They are similar but I prefer bumgenius. I do follow bleaching recommendations, and I started adding extra water to my machine when I got ammonia build up. I was washing about 20 diapers along with wetbags and it was too much, so I wash my wet bags seperately, wash smaller loads, and I do my prerinsing w/out all the shells so that more water can move through the inserts.
