Love, love, love these. I prewashed them as directed with my free and clear detergent and they are plenty absorbent and unless it was due to milk first coming in or other over supply issues, I can't imagine them leaking out as they are fairly thick. Most important to me, they are Luxuriously soft on my highly sensitive skin. When my skin is acting up, the papery edges of disposable nursing pads feel like fiber glass, it's terrible. These just feel so soothing and soft and not irritating at all. also, they seem to stay in place better than the disposable ones I was previously using (even the ones with sticky backs would end up shifting on me)I only ordered one set to try them out but will be ordering more now. Oh, and yes, they did curl up a bit on the edges, but I think I forgot to switch my machine to tumble and low heat beforehand as recommended. Also, pulling them at opposite sides mostly restored their natural shape and I didn't find that they showed through my bra at all.
I did not find that these wicked the milk out to my clothes. I did wash before use. I actually found them quite absorbant and very soft and comfortable. However, I agree that after just one washing by the directions the edges did curl up terribly and this made them not at all discreet under clothing. For me it was not all a waste, as I just used them for overnight. They are larger diameter than other pads and this helped prevent leaks from the pad not being in the right place overnight. I think this can be a good option for someone looking for something for overnight or just being around the house if you don't care that will not sit flat after washing. Would look for other options for going out of the house/daytime use.
These are very plush, but are not good as nursing pads- they are absorbent but just wick out the milk to your bra, and the edges curl horribly. I will be using mine as face wipes so they are not a total waste of money, but I think people should be warned away from buying these.
