Product Description

bumGenius Laundry Detergent was developed in partnership with Country Save, a well recognized, respected face in the cloth diapering industry, and was specifically designed for use with cloth diapers.

bumGenius Laundry Detergent is professionally formulated, free of dyes, optical brighteners, fragrances, enzymes and phosphates. There are 71 HE / 35 normal loads per box. The scoop has been specially designed for cloth diapers (no guessing, just follow the directions). Our detergent can be used on any laundry and is certified for use in HE washers.

USAGE NOTE: Scoop is sized for normal water conditions. Actual use may have to be modified based on your water type, the age of your child and the condition of your diapers. Use more detergent if you have hard water. Be sure to wash diapers every other day. For best results, rinse poopy diapers using the bumGenius Diaper Sprayer.

I have been using this detergent for just over a month. I bought a pack after using the sample packages. So far, I have had absolutely no issues. All diapers come out smelling clean (and fragrance free), feeling soft, and at the price provided, I am very pleased. I can definitely seeing myself buying this product again. No complaints.

Very happy with this detergent! I have been using it for a month now and have had no issues. Our water is hard, but we have a good softener. We have a Kenmore HE top loader that we purchased about 2 months ago. I do not usually do large loads-my largest is usually 8 diapers. I use 3/4 of the scoop with 2 rinses and it works perfectly. No issues with stink or leaking!

When I first bought this detergent it seemed fine. The diapers came out clean, and worked well. However, I have been using this detergent for nearly a month now, and the stay-dry fleece layer on ALL of my diapers has become completely water proof. They repel all moisture, so the diapers leak like crazy. I have tried stripping them with liquid Dawn to no avail. I'm going to try another stripping and clean rinse, and I just hope that my entire stash of diapers is not completely ruined. I do not recommend this product.

I really love Cotton Babies diapers, and this detergent has some very good qualities. The detergent itself rinses out completely (no stiffness or crunching sound of soap still in the microfiber after washing). However, after a few washes in a row with it, I've noticed that my diapers are not as clean as they should be--they still have an odor after washing. We have very hard water, so I tried increasing the detergent as instructed, but the diapers still aren't coming out clean. I actually plan to keep using it for the final wash in my routine because of how it clean it rinses (I often do a third hot wash of just inserts and prefolds), but I'll probably use something else for the main wash cycle.

I received some of the sample packets in a few orders. I figured I'd try them out, what could it hurt? I usually just use Arm & Hammer on my diapers like I used for regular laundry. And I've NEVER used powder detergent before, EVER. I'm in love! I have a GE Front Loading HE washing machine. I also have naturally extremely soft water, so one sample packet is enough for at least 2 loads of diapering laundry. I have used it now to prep all of my diapers, as well as wash all of the ones I had stored up, as well as using it to do a sanitation wash of all used diapers I've received in trades or purchased. It's wonderful and I will DEFINITELY be buying more when my sample packs run out!
