Reviewed by Paige on Tuesday 31 August, 2010Love these! I only have one, but it is always first in hand when the laundry is done! The velcro is SO MUCH better than my 3.0's. I will be refreshing all of mine in time for the new baby :) Just a warning though... "bubble" isn't grey or light blue as it appeared on my monitor... it is lavender. Reviewed by Emily on Monday 23 August, 2010 When the Velcro wore out of my 3.0s, they were kindly replaced with these 4.0s. (Great, prompt customer service throughout that whole transaction!) These appear to be slightly bigger than the 3.0s, which is nice because I worried about the future fitting ability on my 9-month old 60% daughter. My only complaint is the colors. My heart broke when I could not get my dark colors exchanged. Be aware: the lighter colors are VERY light. They are pretty, but not gorgeous like the bright, bold 3.0s. I remain a BG fan but hope they bring back the stunning color selection. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]

These appear to be slightly bigger than the 3.0s, which is nice because I worried about the future fitting ability on my 9-month old 60% percentile daughter. The Velcro is much nicer than it was on the 3.0s, and these are high quality diapers all in all! My only complaint is the colors. My heart broke when I could not get my dark colors exchanged. Be aware: the lighter colors are VERY light. They are pretty, but not gorgeous like I thought dark 3.0s were. I remain a big BG fan and hope they decide to bring back the bold color selection. Reviewed by Maryke on Monday 23 August, 2010 I have to say I LOVE these. I have been using BG 3.0 one sizes now for 3years...on my second daughter with them and I wanted to order her something new. I orderd 12 of these with snaps and I am so impressed. They are super soft and absorbant and the snaps work great. She is 2 months old and after wetting one her skin still feels dry. They are washing good so far and I am glad I added them to my stash! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Jenifer on Saturday 21 August, 2010 I got my 4.0's in the mail a few days ago & I am IN LOVE. I use cloth on both my 7 month old granddaughter & my 30 pound, 36 inch, 95% grandson. The 3.0's were all but too small but these 4.0's fit GREAT! I am concerned that if he doesn't potty train in the next 6 months he may not be able to wear them after that because he is on the next to the last snap. The 3.0's that I double stuffed at night were barely fitting & these fit fine even double stuffed for over night. Since they are always under his clothing when we go out color is really no issue for us. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]

When I first started using cloth diapers I bought a few gDiapers, and while they worked well i hated that all the parts touching my 5 month old son werent soft and looked uncomfortable. The bumGenius are soft everywhere and absorb great. I even use them without the inserts on my 20 month old to get a jumpstart on potty-training. The only downside I can see is that the one-size diapers look like they could be a little uncomfortable where the snaps are close to my sons legs, but I just ordered a 6 pack of bumGenius and can't wait for them arrive! Reviewed by Lindsey on Saturday 07 August, 2010 Absolutely amazing diapers!!! I started using cloth just a few months ago on my now 7-month-old daughter. Our first bumGenius diapers were 3.0s, and they were great, and these 4.0s are even better! The hook and loop is so soft, easy to care for (just make sure the laundry tabs are securely fastened before washing), and a breeze to use...and the snaps are a fantastic option as well. I'd recommend getting some of both...we use hook and loop for daytime and snaps for night and naps (to keep prying hands from removing her own diaper). :) Easy to stuff, extremely absorbent, and super cute on baby! As some reviewers have mentioned, the new pastels are extremely light, but I have all 3 new colors and think they're very nice. You won't be disappointed with these diapers! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Heather on Friday 06 August, 2010 OMG!!! i am new to cloth diapering with my 18month old, at first i just got some used diapers from my local freecycle, the leaked so bad that i almost went back to throw aways. However i got the new 4.0's and LOVE them yet to have a leak or any problems, still have yet to convince my huband though he still hates the idea, but does say they are easy to use. the only thing is now im scared about the velcro. with everyone saying they stop working easly. kinda wish i got them with snaps. but would recomend BG's to anyone love love Love them. Reviewed by Amber on Sunday 01 August, 2010 I was a previous 3.0 user with my daughter, after almost a year her velcro went out and we sent the whole lot back to be replaced, when they came back they magically didnt fit her anymore. As sad as it made me, we moved on. I was so excited to see the release of the 4.0s and quickly traded in all of my diapers to upgrade for only HALF of what I did half. I was so excited, and sadly, quickly disappointed. Not only are the new colors so light that they look faded, but the 4.0s dont offer that much of a change in the rise to make for a big difference with my 17 month old daugther (in the 90 percentile height, 45 for weight). Im very sad by this because we LOVED our bgs and the way they fit and held up. I also was a fan of the bright bold colors, now were left with faded washed out looking colors that match NOTHING in her wardrobe. Im debating returning them, but have yet to make a final decision on that. Looks like potty training alot earlier than we thought L::( Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Reviewed by Rachel on Saturday 31 July, 2010 Love the 4.0's. I have been using the 3.0 for 3 years and 2 kids and they held up great except for the velcro tabs which i kept having to replace. I ordered one with the snaps the minute I saw it and I am so glad they finally put snaps on them. They are more durable and i dont have a problem with the tabs anymore. I got sick of having to replace the velcro tabs. I recommend them to everyone who asks especially now since they have the new 4.0 version with snaps!! Bum genius works great against leaks and i have not had any problems with leakage, even using them over night. ( And i have had no problem using arm n hammer essentials detergent at walmart or planets at hannfords for anyone who wants to know :) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Reviewed by Beth on Monday 26 July, 2010 I bought 3 new 4.0 in snaps and they are great! I love the bubble (lavendar) and noodle (pale yellow) colors. However, the sweet color is way too light and looks white. I was hoping for a bluish/aqua, but just looks too light. The quality is great and these will last longer in the wash than the old velcro ones. I will buy more when the prints and bright colors come! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

With this one, he is on the Medium setting, and it fits him great! Love the Snaps as well since he has figured out how to undo his velcro. Thank you bG for another great, and better Diaper! The new sizing is perfect our 18 month old who is skinny but tall and on the large rise of the 3.0 so thankfully were in the medium on 4.0. The hook and look is so much better compared to my 3.0 and the new laundry tabs really hold so no more laundry chains when coming out of the wash. I love how they fit snug and don't leak!! Our stash mostly consists of 4.0 and I can't wait to put our second in them when he's born. BG is what brought me to cloth and with there 4.0 I love it even more!! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Reviewed by Lindsey on Thursday 22 July, 2010 I recieved the new 4.0 a few days ago and have tried it out a few times. The improvement in size has been a good one. My 18 month old 30 lb 34 inch son was out growing the 3.0's. So the higher rise was just what I was looking for. I choose to go with velcrow because over all I am not a fan of snaps. The new velcrow is much better.
And the inner liner is very soft. I had one 3.0 that I bought 3 years ago new, and I dont remember it being that fluffy and soft. But I am loving that this diaper so soft.
The one downside of the diaper for me was the color. I ordered the new color sweet. Sweet is paler than pale. When we opened it up it looked white. I was hoping for pastel green. The function and quality of the diaper is why I like it so much. But wish I would have gone with the darker green.
I love the 4.0 and will invest in more in the future. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Heather on Wednesday 21 July, 2010 LOVE THEM!! I was like others who loved the 3.0's but hated the velcro. The 4.0's are great and I'm loving the snaps. My 7 month old who is probably around 23 pounds now fits great in them. My 2 year old is 34 pounds and he fits in the 4's better than the 3's (he's potty trained but wears them to bed) I am so happy with the elastic and snap changes. Our old 3.0's were starting to leak because the elastic was worn out. Now with the 4.0's, I can easily change the elastic when it wears. They seem less bulky too. The diaper itself is the "perfect diaper."
Before I got mine in the mail, I read some negative reveiws about the new colors. I didn't understand why some were complaining about something so minor, but now I do understand. I'm not impressed with the new colors. They are too close to white or off white. I'll be happy when the bold colors and prints come out (even though I swore I wouldn't buy anymore...ha, ha) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

The snaps are a wonderful improvement over the velcro - when washing, the 3.0s would all get stuck together because of the velcro. No such problems with the snap closures.
