Cotton Babies Verified PurchaseI have similar issues with this bag as other reviewers. I love the size of the bag! but I HATE the cord!! it doesn't close. I end up just leaving it uncinched and just twisting the bag itself. I have had someone cinch it closed at church nursery and I about cried trying to get it back open it sticks that badly. I wish they would close better. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Bethany on Tuesday 19 October, 2010 Boo. This is the only Cotton Babies product I have ever booed! The cord is so thick and coarse that it often knots or simply cannot close completely. I usually looped the cord around the top of the bag, which is not ideal. I used it for traveling and WAS able to stuff several pocket diapers and liners in the bag, just as much as the claim on the site, but it did not close completely. I think the best one could do is 3 diapers and then fold the top over to hope for no leaks. Definitely prefer the Planet Wise zip top bag over this one! Go ahead and spend the extra $8 for the zipper - its worth it. Rating:  [3 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Same problem as the other reviewers - these do not close! We have two and I still use them. I just close the drawstring as much as it goes and then fold the bag up. I've never had more than two soiled diapers in it at a time and they have never been dripping wet. We use these in our diaper bags. It has worked, but I wish I had bought something different from the get go. Rating:  [1 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Jessica on Tuesday 22 December, 2009 I was given one of these wet bags by my mother, and I have similar comments - it simply doesn't close well enough to be truely waterproof.
A suggestion would be to have the bag close in the manner of a dry bag designed for canoeing or kayaking (I love to canoe) - have the top of the bag velcro close flat across, then roll the bag shut over the velcro strip a few times, then loop the rolled top on itself and buckle. Then it would be something I could put in my diaper bag w/o fear :) Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!]

Reviewed by Nolan on Thursday 03 September, 2009 I purchased two Bumgenius wet bags at a local store. Both are made with a heavy cotton drawstring cord, which makes it difficult to close (cotton catches on the bag and makes sliding it closed slow and difficult). The hem where the cord is housed is small and adds to the problem. Perhaps mine are defective? But they are both the same, and neither will close tight enough to prevent wet items from getting on other items in the diaper bag (bag has a 2-3 inch gap that won't close). The bag is very compact, however, and easy to carry...I just wish it was more leakproof. Rating:  [5 of 5 Stars!]
