I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE DIAPERS!!! I have been using the 3.0 and previous models for almost 2 years now. I started when my son was born and have continued to use them with him (24/7) and my daughter who is now 7 months. I did purchase extras when my daughter was born so I didn't have to wash more frequently, but the old ones continue to hold up well. I use the dry pail method and I am VERY careful about washing acccording to the instructions EVERY TIME and never letting them go more than 3 days between washings. I do add a splash of PLAIN bleach to each load to help with odor control. I've also started securing the velcro tabs to the front of the diaper instead of the laundry tab at the back which seems to hold well. The better they stick through the wash, the less they'll curl. I also am very careful after each washing to clean any strings or lint that sticks to the velcro tabs which can keep them from holding well. I don't routinely let my children run around in just diapers for more than about an hour at a time, so I'm not sure how the'd do in that situation, but haven't had any problems with the velcro curling enough to scratch them, even in loose sleepers overnight. I use the DiaperDekor plus size pail which is very convenient. I take apart the diaper before putting it into the pail. When it is wash day, I lift the whole pail and set it on the side of the washer, open the door, cut off the knot on the bottom of the refill bag and just let the diapers fall into the washer. I don't even have to touch them again! I just re-knot the bottom of the liner/refill bag and it is ready to go again. I use imse vimse paper liners to catch the poo and make it easier to dispose of in the toilet without rinsing. This isn't a perfect concept of course considering the consistency of most newborn poops, but works well the majority of the time. So far, I've had NO PROBLEMS WITH DIAPER RASHES (except if the child is teething or on antibiotics of course, not caused by the diapers). I would DEFINITELY recommend these diapers to anyone interested. Of course, no diaper is perfect for every family, so buy a few and try them out. I plan to continue to use the ones I have with my third child due in August, so I'll keep everyone up to date on the status, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Good luck!

I have been using these diapers for 9 months now and absolutely love them! I have read many reviews about the velcro.. but i have had ABSOLUTELY NO problems with the velcro! It is all still holding up wonderfully! They have never come undone, they are sticking like they did the very first day. I do notice the very edges sticking up a little bit, but if you push them down, they stay down.. and it definitely is not sticking up far enough to even make me think it will touch my babie's skin. We have no leaks, no diaper rash EVER, and I'm just now starting to notice very minimal wear on them. My daughter will refuse to wear disposables now... she screams! I would absolutley recommend these diapers 100%!!

I am super happy with these diapers except for the velcro. They work great on my 2 mo old and my older daughter who is 30 lb(they only use them at night). I take superb care of them , I REALLY baby them as much as I baby my baby...and I only use them at night for both of my girls, but I find that the velcro (after only 1.5 mo!!!) is starting to curl at the edge of the tabs and they no longer stick on there. It is weird, I find that no matter how well I stick them to the laundry tabs, the velcro shifts in the washer and when I take them out, the laundry velcro covers about half of the tab. This worries me enough and I am starting to wash them by hand, now when there is no number 2 on them. I never even dried them in the dryer (only hang them), and I am still having a problem. Nevertheless, the fit is perfect on both DDs, so I have to give it a 4. If it comes down to it, I will replace them with another brand, but I hope cottonbabies WILL come with the snap version, because I really love the fit over Thirsties, FuzziBunz, etc and I would love to get more! I LOVE the covers with the snaps, although I wish they'd have a hip snap or a snap at waist maybe? It is working great for my 2 mo old, but I am wondering if it will stay into place once she starts crawling? I will be checking back to see if cottonbabies will start selling this with snaps. I am so glad that they added more colors to the covers and I will be buying some.

I truly love these diapers, they "were" my husband's favorite diapers also. Actually he wanted us to make our entire stash be BG OS 3.0s. But over the past 3-4 mos that we've owned these the velcro has gone completely to crap. We follow all instructions and wash with RG but still the velcro is loosing it's stick, falling apart and curling so bad that I'm worried about it scratching one of my daughters. Also some of our diapers have a soft laundry tab that I love but others have thick ones that also curl on the ends and are sharp enough in my opinion to cut my 6week old. Like I said though, overall these are my favorite diaper out of all the ones we own and have tried, if the velcro was better or they started making them with snaps they'd be all we owned. Here's hoping for improvement on the closers!!

I bought these diapers about 2 months ago for my son, he is 5months old now. I have never been interested in using cloth diapers, these seemed to be the best so I bought 2, and loved them then i bought several more.. So far, I have tried to take really good care of them I used method and meyer's baby detergent and make sure during washing and drying i keep the velcro tabs hooked like the instructions tell me too. I have had no issues with smell or leaks, and my son has really runny bowel movements because he's breastfed. So i love these diapers, I think the only thing that could happen is he could outgrow them sooner than 35lbs, he's already on the last button so we will see! But i highly recommend them to anyone who wants to save money

I too am disappointed with the Velcro tabs and "landing strips". I have been purchasing bumGenius diapers since the 1.0 white diapers (at the old store) and was so happy I recommended them to many people. Then, I replaced a few of my very well used 1.0s and 2.0s with 3.0s. I was excited to try the new colors (orange!). Mine have been minimally used this go around as my son's school won't use cloth (boo hiss) but they have by far show signs of wear quicker than the others I've owned. I can't leave them on my son without pants as the tabs curl up and scratch his belly. I would love to continue to recommend this line to people but can't until these issues are resolved. Maybe 4.0s will be better?

I really like the idea of these diapers, but I am very disappointed with the velcro tabs. After approx 6 months there was almost no stick and they were falling off my son. I was dissapointed as they are expensive diapers. After unsuccessfully dealing with the company, I decided to order plastic snaps from KAM snaps and alter the diapers similar to the organic snaps model. The diapers are now working much better and hopefully they will last for another child.

I bought 27 of these before my son was born and the laundry tabs were completely shot by 6 months. By 7 months, the velcro landing strips started to pill up and become less sticky. By 8 months, they started coming unfastened, even under onesies. By 9 months, they started stinking and I couldn't figure out what to do. (I was using a highly recommended detergent in a top-loading washer). By 10 months, I contacted customer service for the last time about them and was told the damage to my diapers was my fault for washing them with other types of diapers (like a fitted or a prefold). Newsflash: I have 27 of these diapers -- it's not like I was washing a bunch of prefolds. (I do have one fitted) By 10.5 months, I was disgusted and replaced almost all of them with something else. It's sad because they are a great product and the fit is awesome. I just wish the velcro wasn't such a disappointment.

I absolutely love this diaper! I'm quite upset that I didn't use them earlier. I initially started with prefolds when my son was born, but got lazy and went to disposables when my husband deployed. My poor baby had diaper rash after diaper rash so I decided I needed to really go back to cloth and used prefolds. Just for kicks, I ordered a three pack to see how they work. My mom, who clothed my sister and I, was more amazed than I was and made the comment that she wished these were around when we were in diapers! I just ordered more to complete my set. My son is 14 months old and 28 pounds. These have been the only diaper that has truly fit him well and those mean diaper rashes were gone within 36 hours because there is no moisture on him! They are much more absorbent than any disposable I ever used and I used them all! :)

I've never written a review before. I am a full time working mom (50+ hours a week and travel most weeks). I'm also a breastfeeding (very aware of TSA liquid travel restrictions), baby wearing (check out KOKOPX if your DH thinks slings are weird) and yes cloth diapering mother. My husband thought I was crazy when I told him that I was going to commit to this investment and our children's future. I only regret that I didn't offer my first two children this luxury. No leaks (unless I'm irresponsible and it's been hours), and no rash. I make Amazon children as well and my baby is very comfortable. I only wish I would have had some encouragment when I started this venture. It takes no more time that a trip to the store to get disposables and think of the environment and the $ saved. It justifies the ridiculous stroller and diaper bag I bought for my 3rd child. I love these cloth diapers. It is one area where I know I'm doing the right thing! I have 30 and wash about every 4 days. The sprayer is a must!!! My son is 10 months and I think that despite my hesitations, they will actually last until potty training -- amazing.

I've been using these for 2.5 months now and have to say that they ROCK!! They work wonderfully and with a liner I can use diaper ointment if my baby is going through a diaper rash from my diet. We used disposables with her first rash and it took weeks to get it to heal, but with liners and BG they next rash healed within days from allowing her bum to breath. Some are concerned with the Velcro going out, but they now sell a repair kit to give your BGs a face lift when it's time. I can't say enough about these diapers. I look forward to using them on my next couple of babies. An incredible investment!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these. I just bought 6 more! I am new at cding and I use these and prefolds with bummis. These are my "fancy" diaper. We use them if we are outside the home and at night with both inserts. Have yet to have a blowout or leak and that is normal with disposable diapers for a breastfed baby. I will continue to purchase more, budget allowing. Very much worth the price.

These diapers work so incredibly well. I had bought a full stash of the BG organic diapers because I didn't want to stuff pockets. Although those are pretty good, my baby hates feeling wet, and she would wake up every 30 minutes because she was wet. We had gotten a free 3.0 with our organics, and we discovered she could sleep straight though the night (8 hours or more) with that diaper. When we took it off her in the morning, the inside of the diaper wouldn't even feel wet, despite the weight of the soaked insert. We ended up buying 9 more to use during naps and at night. I wish all our diapers were these diapers, despite having to stuff pockets. They absorb better and she feels dryer than with the FuzziBunz we had borrowed from my sister-in-law. I also much prefer the velcro to snaps. The laundry tabs on these are much better than the ones on the organic cotton diapers. I wanted to love the organic diapers, but these ended up being much better for our needs. And we will have saved money over disposables, even if they don't last through our second child.

We love these diapers! After our daughter was born, we used disposables for the first week until we got through with the meconium stools. She was 9 lbs 4 ozs when she was born so the newborn size disposables at the hospital were a bit snug on her. She fit right into the smallest snapped size on these diapers and we've never looked back. Diaper changes went from a crying unhappy time to bearable and her little bum is much less red. These keep her dry and they are so darn cute! Everyone is amazed at how easy they are. We have the diaper sprayer and with that we are able to spray off the diapers and they wash up very easily. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

My daughter has been wearing BG diapers for 12 months now. I started her at 6 months and wish I had done so sooner. Our goal is for our next baby (coming this Spring) to be cloth diapered from birth. I really can't say enough about these diapers. They are SO easy to use. I honestly can't imagine ever using disposable diapers again. They seem so flimsy and uncomfortable compared to these luxurious diapers. My daughter loves them. She helps me sort them from the laundry and puts them away in her baskets after we fold them. I have never - in 12 months - felt that using cloth diapers was a pain. I feel great about my family every time we wash diapers. My daughter gets to wear the most comfortable material against her skin, my family has saved so much money, and we are doing our part to reduce our family's carbon footprint. I can't imagine a better product!

So since I had already prewashed everything I jumped right in and started using them on her. Now two weeks into it---Im VERY happy!! And wishes I had been more open minded when she was an infant--regarding cloth diapers. P.S. I'm using Nellies detergent sold on cotton babies too. Also VERY happy!

My son is six months old and has been using these almost exclusively from about 6 weeks of age. Yes, they were a little bulky at the beginning, but they were a huge improvement over prefolds and Thirsties covers, which had to be changed more often and almost always leaked. These diapers are super absorbent and keep the baby dry (even after a night of heavy wetting). They even contain most blow-outs. I wash them as instructed in Nellie's Laundry Soda and have had no issues with odors. They clean up well, dry relatively fast, and are convenient to use. My babysitter loves them! Although the velcro does look a little worn, it still seems to be functioning well -- and these diapers get washed at least every other day. If they continue to hold up over the rest of the baby's first year, I will have more than made back what I invested in them. In fact, I'm a little baffled by the person who complained that her $307 investment (for 18 diapers -- the same number I purchased) was not worth it. By my calculation, I would have spent at least that much by now on disposables. Cloth diaper covers in growing sizes would have been expensive as well. These diapers fulfill my needs -- they are economical in the long run, effective, comfortable, easy to use, and environmentally-friendly. What more could one want? I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to cloth diaper -- they make it easy.
