Reviewed by Melissa on Monday 01 February, 2010I have been cloth diapering for about a year now and figured this was a non-essential item so I did the ol' dunk and scrub with rubber gloves in the toilet routine this whole time. I am pregnant with my second and plan on cloth diapering her so I bit the bullet and bought the sprayer. All I have to say is I can kick myself for not trying this diaper sprayer from the start. No more dunking and scrubbing!(YUCK!) The sprayer is fast and strong and goes right where you want it to without having to put your hands in the mess! My son has pasty, peanut butter poops and this thing works awesome! If you are just thinking about getting this, GET ONE!!!! It will save tons of time and all that mess goes right into the toilet where it belongs! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

We have been using it for about 6 months now and we love it. I honestly do not know what we would do without it. It is convenient, easy to use and you can adjust the pressure of the spray. The only hiccup for us is that if you hold it at just the right angle, you will spray poop all over the bathroom. OOOPS! We have also sprayed clean water in our faces which brought much needed laughter to the day! It just took us a little bit to get the hang of it. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I wanted to cry thinking that I had broken it and now I was going to be stuck either swirling my BumGenius in the toilet or some other crazy measure. I actually cleaned them in the kitchen sink with the sprayer. Gross, I know, but my back sure did enjoy not leaning over the toilet and my sink got a thorough cleaning before and after. Still, there was no way I could do that every day. I called cotton Babies and received the number to Coolcraft, the manufacturer of the sprayer. I called Coolcraft customer service and Glen called me back that day. He answered my questions, emailed me detailed instruction on how to keep the sprayer in top condition, and mailed to me a new button. I received the button three days later. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I installed it in less than 5 minutes. At first it leaked, but I just tightened the hose and sprayer by hand which took about 30 seconds and then it was perfect. Reviewed by Ryan on Friday 01 January, 2010 Absolute necessity for cloth diapering. We took a trip to Hawaii and brought a spatula to clean poop from our diapers. It was disgusting and not very effective. We had to use the spatula, dunk, and swish and it still didn't get everything off as well as our BG Sprayer that we have at our house. I don't think that I would cloth diaper without this. Do yourself a favor and buy one before your cloth diaper kiddo starts getting into solid foods. Easy to install too! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I had toyed with the idea of ordering one so I called and had them charge us. We absolutely adore it. Cleaning up our BG one size is a snap with it and it was no trouble to install at all. Bonus-it doubles as a great tool when cleaning the toilet. I scrub with the brush then spray everything down with this. We're planning on getting a second one for our upstairs bathroom as well. I recently put a review in mentioning some leaking problems i was having. Before I could get a call in to customer service, a rep contacted me and had a new sprayer on my doorstep in no time -- all with no hassles, red tape nor typical hoops to jump through. I don't know what caused mine to be faulty, but when the new one arrived, it popped onto the fitting and held tight with no leaking even at the highest water pressure! I can't tell you how impressed I am regarding the proactive response, efficiency and care I received from Cotton Babies service rep Glenn. This is a great product and a great company! My son is EBF and I still can't get his poop off of my organic AIO with this sprayer...Not really sure what to do when we start solids this week. I am hoping some liners will do the trick. One: That the thing leaks tremendously despite my carefully re-trimming the tube on the handle end several times in order to get a cleaner seal to no avail. I pushed, pulled and did everything according to instructions verbatim, and Two: That for so many reviews which mention the issue of leaking from the spray handle - there's not a fix or a workaround listed here. Since it's a common issue, I was hoping to find a fix or something I was doing wrong. I'm about to apply some marine adhesive sealant to it and hope for the best. Seems like a pretty cool gadget. Perhaps I'll install a drain in the bathroom floor and just use this to clean everything! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I'm using this for my first grandson and I only wish I had this when I used cloth diapers for my two children years ago! How did I survive without this? I just purchased another one for my daughters house. It took my husband just a few minutes to install. No cloth diapering parent/grandparent/home should be without this. My son consistently has soft bowl movements, which makes it hard to get out. Before I had this, I had to use our bath tub, and then clean the bath tub. Too time consuming when my son at times has bowl movements three times a day! It works great, and does not leak at all. I think with most toilets if you get it on right, it will not leak. I highly recommend this to any family who cloth diapers, and am even considering buying a second to use at the baby sitters house. Just one word of caution-if you have an older child, if possible do not put in bathroom they use. It is VERY easy to figure out how to use, and it sure can make a mess! Rating:  [2 of 5 Stars!]

I am new to cloth diapering and purchased this along with a trial of cloth diapers before my baby girl was born. It takes some getting used to. I have learned to let the sprayer do the job. At first I was moving it all around to spray of the poo (breast milk fed baby). That often leads to accidentally spraying the floor or wall! I also learned to fold up the diaper and turn the diaper sideways to spray instead of length ways. Also it helps to stretch out the diaper so that the poo doesn't collect in the creases of the 1-size bumgenius diapers that we use. It does leak at the bottom which is annoying but I would still purchase again! And also your hands are going to get dirty! I haven't been able to keep my hands clean and not touch the poo and get the diapers clean. It still is very effective at getting the job done! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I have no idea how I CD'd the 1st time w/out one... such a great accessory!!! I was skeptical about how powerful the flow is, but man, it is PERFECT!!! If a diaper sits w/poopy on it for a few hours before i can rinse it, I just give it a quick spray, let it sit for a few mins to let the poopy loosen up, then spray it all away after it loosens up. For fresh poop (eew!! LOL) it sprays it right of.. LOVE it!! And the diapers I rinse right away are stain free too... a MUST have for CDing!!! Also great for diaper pails & potty chairs!!! I have a 2 year old that's potty training and it's great for spraying out her potty chair. It has great pressure, like pressure washing the diapers and it can also be adjusted to spray more gently, if you don't need to pressure wash. Reviewed by Sarah on Monday 23 March, 2009 When I bought this sprayer mid-2008, I was SO excited - no more turning on the shower (or scraping poo off) for us! (Especially since our daughter is in daycare and the diapers basically stew all day... ick.) For a few months, it worked wonderfully (and had great water pressure), until the button (which makes the sprayer spray) got stuck - first in the "on" position (pressed in), then in the "off" position (out). My husband fixed it, then it started leaking... he fixed that, then shortly thereafter, it wouldn't work at all. Needless to say we were very disappointed!! He ultimately fixed the problem by using our old kitchen sprayer attachment with the BG sprayer hosing and on/off lever (which is awesome). Overall, I'd recommend the product, but I'm still disappointed we got maybe 8 - 9 months of usage out of the sprayer part. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I did not end up needing it for diapers when my daughter switched to solid foods (actually, at that point, I could just roll the waste into the toilet). But it has been wonderful for cleaning her potty seat--I can't imagine how I could get it so clean otherwise, rinsing it under running water without fouling up the sink or tub. The spray is adjustable, so you can set it however works for you and your water pressure.
It was super-easy to install; I did it myself within about 5 minutes. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I was hesitant to spend any extra money on something I've never seen for myself, plus not sure I can even install it. It couldn't have been easier to hook up and I am NOT handy around the house. Then it passed the poop-cleaning test with flying colors when I cleaned a poopy diaper that'd been sitting for a couple hours in the garage. The diaper was ALMOST COMPLETELY clean of poop and with a satisfyingly efficient stream of water. This tool just sealed the deal for me on cloth diapers. Reviewed by LetaKaye on Wednesday 23 April, 2008 I LOVE this sprayer for my cloth diapers! ...BUT if you are intending to take advantage of the "gentle enough for personal hygiene after childbirth" feature, let me just mention that while the adjustable spray is a plus, you will be in for a shock at just how FREEZING COLD the water in the line attached to your toilet can be. This particular feature has been used exactly once at our house. Sorry if that's TMI, and it probably should have been obvious to me, but boy do I wish I had contemplated the water temperature five seconds sooner than I did. He was prompt and courteous. He explained that they switched a few details about the sprayer and the first few that went out had these problems, but they have since fixed the problem. I have since been in conversation with Cotton Babies who directed me to the company that manufactures the sprayer and received replacements parts VERY quickly and free of charge. The diaper sprayer now works beautifully and there have been no issues of leakage. Although it was frustrating to receive a defective sprayer in the first place, I have to say that the manufacturer is first rate in customer service-I would now absolutely recommend this product to a friend. Also, Cotton Babies customer service was very helpful and offered store credit should we not want to replace the sprayer. I am now thrilled with the sprayer and cannot imagine cloth diapering without it! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

We had to go to Lowes to buy a flexible tube to connect it to our toilet, but that was very inexpensive. We also need a longer screw to attach the hanging component to the side of the toilet, but again, that's not a big deal. I am very pleased with the product and highly recommend it! My husband is experienced in plumbing and felt that the product was poorly designed. We are currently seeking reimbursement as it caused a leak that could have created serious damage had we not noticed it. We did have to put a better water line from the floor to the toilet for it to work great, but that was only $5 and simple to install. We absoluvely LOVE the sprayer and would NEVER go back to hand rinsing dipaers in the toilet. It's definitely a MUST HAVE for anyone using cloth diapers. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I can't imagine doing cloth dipers without one. It was SO easy to install, and it helps keep my diapers clean and unstained. My sister has this silver one, and she loves it too. I would say this is a MUST HAVE for cloth diapers (I use bumgenius all in ones). |
