Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Ruth on Friday 28 December, 2012I brought my diapers to work one day to show some new mom's in hopes of converting them to cloth. Well one of the mom's asked how I got them so clean! It made me realize how CLEAN my diapers were!!!! I love rockin' green!! I first do a cold water wash w/extra rinse (with no detergent). My washing machine has a soak option, so I then do a hot water wash & soak w/extra rinse. I use 2 tablespoons of rockin' green. I think that some people may be having trouble with this detergent because the recommended amount is too much. I opened the washing machine during the wash cycle and couldn't believe how many suds were in there. I use half the recommended amount now and think its helped. You may have to play with the amount a bit to get it right based upon the size load you have because I think the recommended amount is for a very large load. If you wash in smaller loads, you'll have to adjust. It has been very good at getting out odors and stains for us. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Friday 24 February, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I love this detergent. I started CDing with bumGenius brand which didn't seem to work for us at all still left stink and stains. Then I switched to some acceptable brand that I got at my local grocery store which was okay but then the store stopped carrying it. Then I switched to All free and clear which I didn't know wasn't that great. I then switched to Nellies which was okay but left a wretched ammonia smell still in my diapers ecspecially my fitteds and prefolds. So now I switched to this and I've been using it for a couple months now and I will NEVER change diaper detergents again this stuff is awesome. No stinks, No stains, no nothing its really great!!! I recommend it to everyone. I don't use the full amount each time though I cut it back and use 1 1/2 tablespoons each load with a cold rinse, cold wash with xtra rinse, Hot/warm wash with extra rinse in my HE Maytag TL washer. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Lafonda on Monday 30 January, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I don't have any more stink problems with my diapers, or leaks since I've been using this for the past few months. That is, as long as I do the soak for an hour before completing the cycle. It's really not that big of deal for me, and it makes all the difference. Also, no rashes since, which we were battling before. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Winifred on Saturday 07 January, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I loved the original RG, but their Remix formula is giving my babies a horrible rash and my diapers began to stink terribly. Plus, the new formula causes a LOT of sudsing in my somewhat hard water, requiring up to 3-4 entire washes to rinse everything out. Will not be using this for diapers anymore! Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by sarah on Friday 18 November, 2011 I use tide to wash my DD dipes but decided to use a cloth diaper friendly detergent needless to say I'll stick with tide! This detergent gave my daughter a horrible rash,my dipes stunk, they always had a funky smell total waste of money. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Becky on Tuesday 30 August, 2011 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Cotton Babies was out of the BumGenius laundry detergent so I ordered Rockin' Green. At first I didn't notice any difference but then BOTH of my twins started getting absolutely horrible diaper rashes with the blisters, etc. I didn't make the connection to the detergent until a friend of mine talked about her daughter getting rashes (which escalated to a staph infection) and she was also using this detergent. Both of us switched detergents and haven't had a problem since. I'm not sure that it's related to the detergent, but if you buy this just keep an eye out so you can catch the rashes and switch detergents to see if that helps. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Maria on Monday 15 August, 2011 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I tried this soft rock detergent (we have soft water) when bumGenius detergent was out of stock. It didn't clean my cloth diapers as well as the bumGenius brand and it didn't even come with a scoop. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jessica on Thursday 05 May, 2011 I love this stuff! Ended up ordering a full bag of hard rock. I've been using this for 2-3 weeks now and my dipes (BGOS) stink like pure urine just out of the wash. It's horrible!! I'll stick with my tide! My CD friends said that alot of the others soap left an odor after washing them. It was from the hard water in North Texas. Rockin' Green Hard Rock helps with that, plus, it really get them clean. I can't tell after washing them which diapers my daughter pooped in. I will be using this soap for every wash! I started off with Classic Rock, but now use the unscented version of the Hard Rock 2.0 and I see a huge difference in the softness of my diapers. I've never had issues with stink, but I would recommend sunning your diapers and inserts to finish off any staining. It works really well, but that newborn poo is no joke. The first load cleaned all kinds of gross gunk from our washing machine, but I ran another cycle and it all washed out. But after seeing all the residue my old detergent left behind, we didn't want to go back, so we're now all Rockin' Green, all the time. I love Lavender Mint Revival, and am looking forward to trying the raspberry next--it's ready and waiting! To do a full load of diapers we use just 1/2 tbsp of detergent (after a rinse cycle) with an extra rinse after the wash, and we've never had stink issues.
