Cotton Babies Verified PurchaseLove it! Cleans the diapers, rinses out well, love the tin, reasonably priced. We have hard water, but a water softener. Sometimes the water softener runs out of salt, and then we have hard water instead of soft. No matter what the water is, this detergent always cleans the diapers well. My daughters also have horribly sensitive skin. This is the only detergent that we can use and not have them break out. I only use it on diapers. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I bought this detergent because the kind that I liked was out of stock. It did a fair job at getting the diapers clean (they don't stink!), however my daughter seemed to develop a rash as soon as we started using it and I haven't been able to get rid of it. My kids have extremely UNsensitive skin and have never reacted badly to anything until now. The reason I gave it 2 stars is b/c it did actually clean the diapers and I like the tin. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase We have been cloth diapering for a year and a half using Arm and Hammer detergent, which has worked fine. I wanted to try something else so I bought this and used it on one load. My 19 month old daughter now has the most horrible diaper rash (her first ever). She cries and says "owie" every time I change her. My 4 month old daughter's bum is fine. Also, I don't think it got the smell out very well.
I will still use this for clothing but not for the diapers anymore, unless I can figure out if something else is causing the rash. I hope it's something else, but as for now, I'm pretty sure it's this detergent.
So I guess overall my review is mixed and maybe don't count on it for diapers but it should be fine for clothing. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Love Nellie's! I have been using this for 6 weeks on our Flips. I use 3/4 teaspoon in the cold wash and 3/4 teaspoon in the hot wash plus an extra rinse in a front loader (well water) and the inserts come out white with absolutely no stains. It even passed the mother-in-law test. We love the cleaning power and fresh smell of Nellie's All Natural Laundry Soap and use it to do the entire family's laundry. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I thought this was working well. Used it for about 6 months until I realized that this was the cause of my sons bad rash. Some days it was worse than others with blisters and cracks... the more I changed the diaper the better so I took him off cloth for a few days to see if thats what it was and it was 10x better the next day.
With causing the bad rash and ammonia smell I had never had before I would not buy this again... and may have problems pawning it off onto someone else.
I had recently moved and we switched to Nellies because I couldn't find Country Save in the stores around here... But I have found Country Save and will stick to it! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I don't think I could say enough good about this product and I've only been using it for about two weeks. Today I washed almost 4 days worth of diapers for toddler twins in one load (2 AIO's, 12 pockets, 8 econobum and 21 prefolds with all the wipes) and they came out perfectly clean with no odors. I used 1 teaspoon in a cold prewash, 1/2 tablesppon in a hot wash with an extra cold rinse and seriously no odors. Well worth the money and my girls aren't getting the redness on their bottoms that motivated me to switch to something new. This stuff so far is very inexpesive, smells good, only uses a small amount and this can alone would last 200 washes. So if you are washing every other day like us this one can lasts for well over 7 months....this is a rough estimate...can last longer since I rounded my numbers up....so you basically only spend $2.71 a month on detergent to wash you diapers!!!!! This also works great on your clothes too!!! my husband is a manual labor worker and works daily in the hot north carolina sun digging in dirt and other stuff and his clothes come out clean and stink free unlike some of the more expensive free and clears we have used..alsO FYI for those who love this at Nellis website they sell this in bulk for 125.00 for a huge tub and with the way we wash here....family of five....2 in cloth diapers that tub lasts over 2 1/2 years so monthy your detergent cost is 4.46 a month to do laundry daily as well as wash about 40 diapers every other day...huge money saver and a much better detergent for your whole familys skin, clothes and enviroment!!!!!!!! Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I ordered this a few months ago and it has lasted me a long time! And my clothes smell really fresh when I get them out of the washer (bounce drier sheets in drier so some smell is probably from those out of the drier, but none the less they still smell good!) I ordered the big 5 gallon bucket off of Nellie's website and when I did the math it would last me about 3 years!! I really enjoy this soap! If it can get the Georgia red dirt out of my husbands work pants it gets my approval.
