Reviewed by Carmen on Tuesday 24 August, 2010 Really bad. After three separate washes and dries on two different loads I still get a really bad ammonia smell and stains. Something I never experienced when using my other brand. I even added borax, baking soda, and vinegar. Really cute packaging though, and a great way to add to the bumGenius corporate brand and marketing. Just doesn't come through for me. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!]

After three washes, I am now dealing with stains and the amomia smell, which I never had before. I am going back to my old detergent. I was hoping to continue to support Bumgenius by swiching detergents, but this is one switch I cannot make, so sad. Love your diapers and wipes though! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

My BG 3.0 diapers came out smelling worse than when they went in. I put them in the sun for the afternoon and they were okay. I ordered this detergent and it arrived in 2 days with free shipping. I washed a load with this and they smell great. Like nothing! Impressed so far! I prewash on cold, wash on hot, and do an extra rinse so it should last the actual 66 loads. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Heather on Saturday 27 February, 2010 Works great! I like that the scoop is specially formatted for CDs. Makes it much easier, esp if you have someone else helping you with laundry. Makes it much easier to explain. I had read where previous reviews had complained about the # of loads being incorrect due to the fact that CDs are washed 2x. I have not had this problem, as I wash my CDs on cold first with NO detergent, then I was them with HOT and an extra rinse WITH detergent. So for me the number of loads was accurate. And I have found that my diapers are just as clean and smell just as wonderful by using the detergent in only one wash cycle. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

My diapers had not been used in about 6 months (daughter was potty trained before baby boy arrived) and when I pulled them out to get them ready for baby they had a definite old stink to them. I honestly considered NOT using the diapers again and just doing disposables, but decided to try this detergent instead. After just ONE WASH they smell so much better, almost like new!!!! Not only do they smell almost 100% better they are also very bright white again!! I am so pleased. I know they haven't been this clean since I bought them, I would recommend this detergent to anyone! The only negative for me, hence the 4 starts, is the cost. It is pretty expensive and I go through it quick with 2 kids in diapers. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Reviewed by Kristin on Sunday 29 November, 2009 Up until trying the bum genius detergent I had always used Planet detergent - which I had to drive pretty far for, and wasn't happy with the effect. My diapers had a stink which I was always rinsing and rinsing away, as well as a few stains. I was hesitant to switch, given the mixed reviews - but thought, I am already doing all this anyways. I absolutely LOVE this detergent. I have 0 smell and the diapers are whiter and brighter than ever before. I obviously still have some staining on the microfiber as my daughter is 11months but....now that I have used it, I will not go back. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

One little scoop and your good to go. No measuring and no guessing. My diapers smell good and are not stained. I would recommend this to anyone using cloth diapers. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Honestly, we never found ANY detergent to conquer the microfiber stink product (Charlies, Planet, or this). We now use Cotton only and the scoop in this works well. We almost never have a large load, so we do get close to 66 loads. We wash every other day with about 10-12 diapers. That's a medium load in my opinion - so one scoop and we're good. With the cotton we also do a cold and short pre-wash (no detergent), Hot wash with detergent and double rinse, so only one scoop for the entire washing. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Our diapers were getting stinky after using TIDE Free & Clear & this detergent seems to be much better. We also bought the Allens but haven't tried it yet. I ordered this because I was excited to have a laundry product that was specifically FOR diapers and that would come with a scoop just the right size since I always felt like I used too much detergent. However, these stink right out of the washing machine and it's so much worse when DD wets in them. I will not purchase again, and do not recommend. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Johanna on Friday 02 October, 2009 I am mainly irritated that these are advertised as having 66 washes and being specifically for bumgenius diapers, however, if you read the fine print, which you can't until you buy this, if you are washing large loads, you actually need two scoops, which comes out to 33 washes. Then, take into account that you have to wash all bumgenius diapers once in cold, then again in hot, and you come out with 16 or 17 loads of laundry. So, I would say this borders on false advertising. With Nellie's, you pay less, and since they say it is for 50 washes, you actually get 200 by using 1/4 the detergent. And, while the detergent smelled great in the box, my diapers were still stinky even after washing perfectly according to instructions. Disappointed and normally I love bumgenius products. Reviewed by Michelle on Friday 25 September, 2009 We have been using BGOS 3.0s for almost 3 months now, and using this detergent for just 2 weeks. Previously I tried both liquid and powder Planet. I stripped our BG 3.0 pockets just before starting with the BG detergent, but my diapers are stinking again already.
They smell clean (or nearly so at any rate) out of the dryer/off the line, and I was thrilled to think we were conquering the microfiber stink, but as soon as DD peed they smelled of ammonia, and worse they smell poopy now (which has not happened before!).
I am in the middle of stripping them again, and starting over, so we'll see where this goes... But it isn't looking great right now. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Although I tried to wash the diapers properly with another brand, I found I was using too much detergent once I saw the BG detergent scoop. THANKS for making washing so much easier!!
