Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Bre'elle on Wednesday 06 March, 2013I have 4 that i have been trying and I am not super thrilled with them. They are soft which I like and I do like that they are more contoured to my babies. However, I do not like how they leave deep indents in my babies thighs and bellies. Even on the biggest setting it seems they dig into their skin. I also have a leak problem. I tried using two inserts and they still leak, not to mention they are hard to stuff to inserts into. I use these as my back up diaper, but I am not too fond of them. I do like the various colors though! Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Michelle on Friday 11 January, 2013 I was really looking forward to trying out these diapers. I've been using the size medium regular Fuzzibunz diapers for about 6 months & I liked the idea of being able to adjust the diapers to fit my daughter. Unfortunately, I was not very thrilled with these for several reason.
The inserts are VERY small compared to the others that I've been using. They have to be to be able to fit inside the diaper (the space is smaller due to the extra stitching for the adjustable elastic). Trying to fit 2 inserts in this diaper is nearly impossible and forget about my husband using these. Not to mention a smaller insert means less protection against leaks.
I didn't find the straps all that difficult to adjust (not like others complained about) but these diapers are not very big. My daughter is 18 mos old and only 23lbs. I already have the legs adjusted to almost the largest setting. There's no way these will fit her for the next 6 mos - year until she's potty trained. I seriously doubt these would fit a 30lb child. Not to mention with the elastic out to the farthest setting there's not much elasticity left around the legs which I know will eventually lead to leaks.
So glad I only bought 2 of these to try out. I think I'll stick with the regular Fuzzibunz & get rid of these. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Lindsay on Friday 16 November, 2012 I bought large packages of both the BumGenius and Fuzzibunz Eite. After over half a year with the Fuzzibunz (and years of experience with BumGenius 3.0 and 4.0), I wanted to write a comparison for others who are contemplating buying these products. I really liked the design, colors and trimness of the Fuzzibunz Elite, and they're much softer than the BumGenius. However, they do not hold up as well (I had to get four (and counting?) replaced in the first couple of months!), and they LEAK. I contacted customer support and read tons of other blogs to figure out what to do. I am not a novice; I've been cloth diapering for 10 years. What it boiled down to: "compression leaks." And no, there are no refunds for that. That means that the little minky inserts can only hold a little pee and as soon as baby sits down, if there's too much, squish! It squeezes out the legs onto the onesie. So frustrating. My baby couldn't even go two hours with both inserts in at 10 months! I realize not everyone has this problem, but LOTS do, and the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. I recommend BumGenius instead-- sure, they may be a little bigger on your newborn than the elites, but you'll have a diaper that lasts (I used them on more than one child) and doesn't leak! :) Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Julia on Wednesday 25 July, 2012 Also wanted to mention something about the back pocket. I think it is meant to hang a bit out of the back - so that all that touches your baby's skin is fleece. That is exactly how the expensive Blueberry one size diaper is made - and they explain the reasoning for having it. Honestly - i have more issues with making sure my microfiber inserts in BG are under the flap since you can't have microfiber against skin. I intentionally pull a little out so that it protects her back from red marks. If you only pull a little bit - it's not the "silly" looking as some mention. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Julia on Wednesday 25 July, 2012 I'm a bumgenius user for the most part - but wanted to try these. I'm more used to BG but I do like the FB elite. I bought them because they are touted to be trim. A girl needs to wear some cute leggings some days right? We needed a day worth of trim diapers :) so yes - they are trim IF you don't double stuff. For now, my 6 month old can go 3 hours no problem (could go more but i don't let her sit in diapers during the day for longer than that). Fleece is very soft. Now i'm not gonna lie - the elastic was a challenge for me - the directions try to help you buy telling you the button is ABOVE or BELOW the number but if you don't know what is the top or botton of the diaper those directions are useless lol. Nevertheless, i figured out a snug fit with little trial and error and am happy for now. I like these diapers. They will be a great addition to my BG. I just cannot compare to the because they are so different. I will still only trust BG for nighttime. One positive for me is that the elastic replacements come with the diaper (you have to buy BG replacements for 1.00) - and since I cannot sew - it does seem replacing these would be easier. OH and yes they are trim - but much nicer to stuff with the oh so soft minky. I'm giving it 4 stars since it has not stood the test of time for me yet - so i may adjust in months to come. I just bought these. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Shannon on Tuesday 22 May, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I LOVE these diapers. I am a huge Fuzzibunz fan. I love the elastic sizing and have yet to have the buttons leave marks on my son's legs (even on the old OS style). The large back pocket is actually a feature that I like. If you take the extra material and tuck it underneath the insert after it is stuffed, there is no issue with it coming out of the top of the diaper. These diapers are trim and sleek-looking. They fit my son like a glove, and we have never had a leak with them. Plus the colors are adoreable! Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Megan on Sunday 20 May, 2012 I ordered these for my 16 month old daughter and the diapers are quality, very soft and not bulky. However I have found that they may be better for smaller babies; they leak pretty easily with my older baby and have leaked everytime we used them at night time. I like the diaper but definitley go through more a day than I do with the Bum Genius and Flip's due to them not holding as much/being as absorbent and I am not someone that lets their child sit in a wet diaper. I think with a smaller baby I would opt for the FuzziBunz over the other brands due to the diaper being smaller and not as bulky but with a bigger baby that tinkles a lot more than a newborn I don't reccomend them. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by stephanie on Friday 20 April, 2012 I have 2 of these and although I love the diaper it comes a little small. It's one of my favorites as far as the inserts and leak protection goes but it is very hard to get on my 9mo.
I like the elastic sizing. Have no problems with that but I think it's wrong. I have it on the last setting on my 9mo and it's still too small.
The back opening is really big too! It always hangs out of the diaper.... look silly Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Sarah on Saturday 14 April, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I LOVE LOVE LOVE my FB Elite diapers. I pair every single one with a Hemp Babies doubler and I can honestly say I have had only 3 leaks in 4 months of use and that is when I left one on too long (meaning 5 hours or more), and when I forgot to change him before nap time and he had started sleeping on his tummy. Otherwise- perfect. Exploding poo, tons of wee....it all stays in. I will say that the elastic sizing is a bit fiddly, but you're only changing it every once in a while (have only changed mine once in 4 mos) so don't let it put you off. I find it much nicer than having lots of snaps on the front of the diaper. It's also more adjustable, since you can change one or both sides of the elastic to let it in or out. I highly recommend these, especially paired with a thin doubler like the Hemp Babies, as it really stretches the diaper so you only go through a few a day (we use 4, maybe 5 a day. I don't CD at night, so that cut down on two of our daily diapers). Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Tricia on Friday 24 February, 2012 I like these ok. They are smaller than other one size diapers - particularly narrower between the legs. That can be a plus or minus depending on your baby. For my long, lean babies it means it actually fits them early on whereas my BGs are finally fitting without leg gaps at almost 4 months. The downside is they do seem to leak (wetness) if I go several hours and forget to change diapers - where my BGs handle it no big deal. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Katherine on Friday 20 January, 2012 I am not at all a fan of these diapers. The ONLY good thing I have to say about them is the new inserts are great. I have 12 of these and regret purchasing them more than any other baby product in my five years of parenting. I'm sure the company things their elastic sizing system is innovative but I think it is horrible. Rise snaps are much easier and work better. The elastic doesn't stay in the holes and even though they claim to have fixed this the buttons still leave marks on my baby's skin. The hideous huge open flap in the back is ugly and the lining is always coming out of the back of the diaper. Despite this obnoxiously huge opening this diaper is extremely difficult to stuff. The crotch is too narrow. These diapers are just plain horrible and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I wish I had just stuck with BG's and hadn't wanted to try these. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by jamie on Monday 09 January, 2012 Too small!! These diapers do seem like they are good quality, and probably are very comfortable for young/small babies; but to say they they fit from "birth to potty training" is a huge exaggeration. Even when on the largest setting, there is just no way they will fit an older baby! Very frustrating to spend so much money only to have them not fit. My son is 19 months, 27 lbs and we much prefer Fuzzibunz Perfect size medium or large. Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Wanda on Thursday 10 November, 2011 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I have the Grape elite diaper yesterday and prepped it. The minky insert is incredibly soft plush, like velour and much thinner than the microfiber insert. I like that the elastic/button is now hidden; you have to flip the diaper inside out to adjust the elastic so the button is no longer pressing against the baby. The new microfleece ("nano-fiber" or smaller size fibers) is less pilly than before after one wash, but it is a stretch to say it does not pill at all. The former microfleece was like any other microfleece pills after one wash such that I can't imagine how anyone would sell it back to growing up in cloth after just one use because it looked so pilled up. I still find the width of fuzzibunz too be too trim and harder to stuff than most pocket diapers. I grab it because its lining is soft but it's not my favorite diaper. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Karen on Monday 07 November, 2011 I bought two of the elite diapers to see if I liked them any better than the original one-size, they are terrible! I love Fuzzi Bunz Perfect Fit, but this diaper actuall fits smaller than my size small FB. My 5-month old son weighs only 13 lbs! I can't imagine putting this on my 2 year old! This is not a one-size diaper. The best fitting one-sized diaper is still Bum Genius. If you love Fuzzi Bunz like I do, stick with the perfect fit diapers. View all 14 reviews |
