I personally had some irritation from being really sicck and used it and it stung BAD for a minute and then numbed everything and healed (sorry for TMI but I like to try the products I use on my kids and was really sore so I figured why not). My second son sometimes squeels when I spray this on him and now I know why-it's kind of like the feeling of washing a cut. I give this 5 stars for the fact that it works and works well when my boys have been a little irritated-if there's an actual rash you need something stronger for sure. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase My husband and I LOVE this product. It has an oily base so we have no trouble using it as a spray on my sons bottom. It cleans the sticky poop right off. We dont mind the smell. I tried cal. baby diaper wash but it was too harsh and we hated that smell. I think this product is a winner Rating:  [4 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I did not purchase this from Cotton Babies but rather from a local cloth diapering store. I really like this product. It has a nice smell and I find that it soothes any irritation my daughter may have. I will definitely be buying more. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Reviewed by Melodie on Wednesday 06 April, 2011 I am surprised to see mixed reviews regarding this Diaper Potion Lotion. We love this product. My daughter was getting rashes and within a couple of days of using this spray the rashes cleared.
The product smells great, a little goes a long way, it takes away the rash and does not sting my daughters skin like some other products that we have bought. LOVE IT!
For others whose children are experiencing rashes check the detergent that you are using on your cloth diapers. If you have a build up then no matter how much spray you put on your child - the rash will continue as the problem is the build up not the lotion potion. Rating:  [1 of 5 Stars!]

My baby's skin is EXTREMELY sensitive and once I began using this stuff, her rash has disappeared and hasn't returned yet. I had tried both homemade solutions and just plain water on my wipes, and she still would have a red bum. I'm not sure what specific ingredient in this is helping her skin, but I love this. After being on the plane, my 7 month olds bottom was very red. I used this Diaper Lotion spray twice and her reddness and slight diaper rash went away. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Witch Hazel can be very astringent. I will not buy this solution because of the witch hazel. I think different skins may react differently to it. I was given a witch hazel spray postpartum to help heal after a long vaginal birth and it was too strong for my skin and gave me a burning sensation. Yet obviously it has helped other people or they wouldn't have given it to me. So just be cautious if you try this and observe any reactions. Might be the witch hazel! Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!]

I love the idea of the product, and didn't mind the smell, but within a day of using it as a wipe spray, my son developed a bad rash. I immediately stopped using it and the rash cleared right up. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Unlike the others who have left reviews I do not care for the smell of this spray. Actually no one in my family does. The lavendar scent is pretty powerful. It does a good job cleaning, but you have to shake it before you spray. I prefer Bum Genius bottom cleaner. In my opinion if cleans better and certainly smells so much better than the lotion potion. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I don't like this very much. Yes it smells pretty good, but that's about it. I shake it and shake it and it seems like it still has the same amount of oil floating on the top as it did the day it arrived. Plus it seems like sometimes it takes a lot sprays to get my son completely clean. Maybe it's just because he's only 2 1/2 months old and his bm's are loose, I don't know.
