I'll admit that with postpartum depression following my child that cloth diapering ended up not being the best option for me, but I had bought the planet wise reusable bag in medium. It doesn't get the same hard everyday use it would have cloth diapering but I still find it to be one of my most valuable parenting purchases. It's my go-to travel bag for the wet beach clothes/pool adventures, the inevitable toddler accidents, the traveling carsickness cleanup bag, etc. It's nice to be able to throw it in with all that nasty wash I'll have to do and not worry about it. It's always in my diaper bag. I've owned it for 4 years. Still useful with two kids. No regrets.
So disappointing! I have one medium and one large Planet Wise, and I'm not happy with the construction or durability. The medium is a good size for a day at daycare (cloth diapers), but doesn't have a handle! The large has a handle, but the webbing is already ripping after only a couple of months of home use (the large is way too big for daycare). With one baby & a 2-day wash cycle, this bag has not seen enough weight or use for that kind of failure. I thought I wanted the 2-layer construction of the Planet Wise, but it turns out that they take forever to line dry. I bought some 1-layer ones to round out my stash, and they've quickly become my favorites. They dry so quickly, they have handles, they're a great size for daycare, and they were half the price! I will not be buying more Planet Wise wet bags.
I have had two different sizes if this wet bag and both had zipper issues. I think planet wise needs to stop putting on cheap zippers. I ended up finding a "how to" tutorial online and made my own wet bag for a fraction of the cost. I love the fabrics they offer, but not worth it.
I used 2 of these bags with my first child as bags to hold the wet/dirty diapers until wash day. I have had them for about 2 years now and am pregnant with child number 2. While these bags are nice for wet swim suits or something from the beach, I cannot recommend them as diaper bags. First and most importantly, (we have OS BG 4.0s) YOU CANNOT WASH THESE WITH YOUR DIAPERS as it states on this website. The PlanetWise website specifically says NOT to wash them in hot water. Only cold or warm as you will wreck your bags. So, first time I washed one of my bags, in hot water, like it says here (wash with your diapers!) a lot of the color leeched out of it. Secondly, if you get the outside of the bag wet, which is very easy to do when trying to stick a diaper cover in there that you just used a diaper sprayer on, it defeats the purpose of the bag. I also don't find that it does a great job with odor and I wash my diapers every other day. I will be looking for something new now that kid number 2 is on the way. Oh, also, for washing, you cannot dry the bags in direct sunlight outside, so for people who like to "sun" their diapers, you have to have a shady area.
I purchased this medium sized wet bag 1 year ago and began using it when I started my daughter on cloth diapers. Initially, I loved the bag. After MANY washes, I can safely say that this product does not hold up well. The interior liner has not been waterproof for a very long time. Not just at the seams, but the lining itself is permeable. I went with this company after searching out reviews. This was the one to buy, according to the majority of consumers. Boy was I wrong in following that advice. After rinsing a diaper and placing it in the bag, the bag has been known to leak and drip on the floor. GROSS. (Please keep in mind, I followed the care instructions diligently, and always let the bag hang dry.) I have since turned to a shop on ETSY (SweetBobbins), where I happily purchased a couple of WATERPROOF bags that have not had one single leak since I purchased them almost 11 months ago.
