Reviewed by chelsea on Monday 10 May, 2010i LOVE this lanolin and it is the only lanolin i will use for nursing. when i went to the hospital in labor with my son, i forgot my lanolin so i had to ask the lactation nurse for some. i was expecting the other "most popular" big name brand lanolin but she brought me a few samples of this. since i hasnt used anything but this, and thought that the "big name lanolin" must be even better, i bought the big name tube when i ran out of the samples and i HATED IT. it was so hard and waxy - i could barely squeeze it out of the tube and it was nearly impossible to apply, it felt like i was about to rip my nipples off trying to get it on evenly LOL. im due with my 2nd (a girl) this july and i will definatly be buying a tube of THIS before she is born! i RAVE about medela lanolin. now, that "big name" lanolin i bought is being used to lanolize my sons woolies LOL, its good at that - not so much for the boobies :) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]
Reviewed by Rebecca on Friday 07 May, 2010 Great! Easy to put on and very effective. In addition to using it easrly on for breastfeeding, I put a little on the flange on my breast pump (the part surrounding the nipple) and it makes pumping way more confortable. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

It goes on so smoothly, unlike others that are so waxy that they often hurt just to try to rub on. This was a lifesaver for me, and I only wish I had used it earlier on! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

I got samples at my hospital, looked for it in the stores but couldn't find it, so I went back to the hospital to beg for more. Most other kinds are kind of chapstick like and hurt to put on your already sore nipples! This kind is more greasy and smooth to put on. Because it's greasy you'll need to wear pads to keep it from getting on your bra, but it's well worth it!!!!!!!!! View all 4 reviews |
