Indian Prefold Cloth Diapers Reviews (82) Write Review Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by charity on Wednesday 28 July, 2010purchased these along with the Flip System Organic day pack and they fit in the covers great these are super absorbent and not bulky at all clean up really nice and soft also noticed these do hold the smells as the flip systems organic inserts sometimes do Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Angela on Saturday 24 July, 2010 I love these inserts and am so glad that I ordered them. My 14month old started leaking on the sides at nightime. I use these prefolds with a flip insert and hemp doubler and they don't leak! My son is a heavy wetter and even disposables will leak at night for him. Yeah, we have a nightime solution. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Geraldine on Wednesday 14 July, 2010 I love these prefolds , I use them as inserts for night time with my almost potty trained 2 1/2 year old son and we haven't had a leak yet. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Valerie on Saturday 10 July, 2010 I love indian prefolds. i sing their praises to any mom that will listen! they quilt up so great and are soft enough after one wash to wrap your little ones butt in. If you started out your cloth diapering experience with a target pack of prefolds (like many mommies i know) and the size works for you-get the infant one-same size! but so much better. the regular and premium sizes are enormous! my daughter is 25 lbs and 33 inches tall and i have to use a large sized thirsties to keep all of that prefold in there- but it keeps the pee in all night! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by julia on Wednesday 07 July, 2010 No these are not the same as the econobum prefolds. I actually think the econobum are a little nicer (sewn nicely) but I really like both. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Autumn on Monday 05 July, 2010 I have been using these for my twins for several weeks now and we love them. Very absorbent very soft and they fit just right, my babies are three months old and I am pleased to not have to fold down a larger prefold to fit them.
in relation to a previous poster: I could see how they might be narrow if you are not used to letting out some of the front cloth to pin, but I cannot imagine then being to narrow otherwise. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Linda on Friday 02 July, 2010 Too narrow! Bought the infant size for my tiny 3 month old 12lb daughter and I have a hard time getting it on her with a snappi. If they were a little wider they would be much better. They are soft and got quilty after only 3 hot washes. Wouldn't buy them again though. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Valerie on Saturday 26 June, 2010 indian prefolds rock my world! they come soooo soft and absorbant and quilt up so nicely in the wash. I'm only rating 4 stars because they seem to hold onto stink better. but i think it's because i use them for night-pee....which is always intense :) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Addie on Saturday 26 June, 2010 Love, love, LOVE these! I bought prefolds from several different sites to try out all the options and these are the best. They quilt up really well and stay very soft. On my chunky 4 month old, I tri-fold the infant prefolds into FLIP or Duo sz 1 covers. The regular prefolds get folded down in the back and Snappi'd in the front, since they're still a tad big. Expect a decent amount of shrinkage. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Wan-Nei on Wednesday 23 June, 2010 I started cloth diapering with BG one sizes when my son was born. My stash consisted entirely of them until I was surprised by my new daughter, a 5 pound preemie who swam in the BGs.
I really hated using disposables. After spending $40 for disposables the first 3 weeks I decided to go ahead and give these prefolds a try. I am surprised by how much I like these. They're not as convenient as my BGs but they are very trim, soft (much softer than the chinese prefolds I also have) and the huge variety of covers to choose from makes them very fun. The Thirsties duo wrap snap is my favorite so far.
BGs are still my first love but I like these enough that I'm back to buy them in bigger sizes. They are great as a backup when my regular stash is in the wash and because they are so compact, I keep a few in the car as backups as well. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by natasha on Wednesday 23 June, 2010 are these the same as the econobum prefolds or bummi's prefolds? Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Christina on Friday 11 June, 2010 LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! WE've been using the preemie size for inserts for my diaper covers that I make myself and the infant size with a snappi and a woolie cover for nightime on our one week old baby girl. I can use the infant size as an insert for our 14 month old girl too.
I just ordered some of the premiums since they're on sale and intend to keep adding to our stock! You can never have too many and they have tons of other uses after baby is finished with them!
Great quality and I love that they don't hold breastmilk poo stains! Can't beat the price and the economy shipping is fast! Had them in three days! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Autumn on Wednesday 09 June, 2010 These are really wonderful, soft absorbent so much better than what I was using before. I love the smell colour and texture plus they fit my fat, uninterested in potty learning toddler (premium size) I am going to order more tomorrow but in infant size for my boys. Thank you so much these are great. ++affordable Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Michelle on Thursday 03 June, 2010 I just ordered yesterday for the first time from Cotton Babies. Holy Smokes am I impressed already!!
I have CDed two kiddos from birth to PT and several other foster kiddos in between. We are having our first BIO baby and ordered 8 dozen total of all sizes of PF yesterday. I chose free shipping and today UPS already dropped them off. I am prepping them now and cannot wait to use them. I have some IPF in use right now but I don't think they were cotton babies ... I will most definitely come back and address their absorbency and durability once I get to use them. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jessica on Wednesday 02 June, 2010 I LOVE these! I have these in infant size and some handmedown bleached chinese prefolds. The Indian prefolds do not require sunbleaching to remove breastmilk bm stains (for me anyway), but they hardly come out even with sunbleaching on the bleached prefolds I have. These are so incredibly absorbent & soft. I also like the natural look of them too. My daughter looks so adorable in them with a pink snappi. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Lori on Monday 31 May, 2010 LOVE these! I have Fuzzi bunz, BG OS 3.o, and Flips. I use the Indian prefolds with my Flips!!!! This is a super cheap way to cloth diaper!!! I just ordered more because I love them so much!!!!!! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Cassandra on Sunday 23 May, 2010 These are sooo much better than the unbleached Chinese prefolds! I love these. I bought a bunch of these and the unbleached Chinese pfs 2 years ago for my son. These have held up just as well as the others. I actually bought BG 3.0's and these to while those are washing. I always reach for Indian pfs before any other pf. They are so much softer and are actually a little wider than the Chinese pf. I think they're only about an inch wider, but that 1 inch makes a huge difference in how long your baby will be able to wear them, especially if you have a chunky baby. My son was a pretty skinny baby and used the infant size for quite a while. Now that I'm using them on my daughter, she's not even 4 months and I can't use the infant Chinese pfs on her because she's chunky. But I'm still using these ones in infant and they fit great. I don't have any signs of the stitching coming undone, no pilling, or tears. They wash up great. In fact, non of these have any stains on them at all, but the Chinese pfs do. Both kids were/are exclusively breastfed. Plus, the great price, what more could you want. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Saturday 22 May, 2010 I just received these diapers yesterday, and have them washed and ready to go. I check CottonBabies this evening... and they're on sale. I'm disappointed. I paid full price. However, if you're looking for a good, soft prefold these are great! Very aborbant, and didn't pill up in the wash. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Christina on Wednesday 05 May, 2010 LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! I ordered the preemie and infant sizes for my 3rd baby girl whom is due anyday! Figure on using the preemie size for the first week or so as just lay in inserts in my covers and then as doublers later. They wash up great and are so unbelievably soft.
Not to mention I used the economy shipping because it's free and they we're here just as fast as if I had paid regular shipping! Awesome!
Will be buying more in the near future just to have extras! I did tons of searching online and this is the best deal out there and the customer service is very helpful! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by carly on Saturday 10 April, 2010 I love these! I had some no name brand inserts I bought used and they leaked every time. I was ready to give up on cloth diapering. But after trying these I know that you can go cloth and not have leaks! They are also so soft and just get softer with each wash. I am very happy with them and plan on buying more! View all 82 reviews |
