Indian Prefold Cloth Diapers Reviews (55) Write Review Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Shayla on Monday 11 January, 2010Great diapers for the money! The newborn/preemie size never came close to fitting my 7lb baby, so we just used them as inserts. The infant size is perfect for him now, though I wish they were a little wider. Use this with a CB stay-dry liner and almost any cover, and you have a great diapering system for the daytime. They wash up great and stains/smells disappear in the sunlight. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by rebecca on Friday 08 January, 2010 These are really soft and I really like them. I use them when all my bamboo fitteds are dirty. The only problem ive had is the infant size doesn't come around and overlap hardly at all on my 9 lb baby, but I got that size because I didnt want to have to fold down a huge chunk in the front. I use a snappi and they do the job but pins would probably be near impossible for me with this fit. Looks like I will be investing in a few of the next size up and just deal with the bulk when I have to. Defenitely try them! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Kelly on Friday 08 January, 2010 We purchased a couple diaper packages and got one with chinese and one with indian prefolds to compare. They are both great but we love the indian prefolds. They are very soft and didn't seem to shrink at all. We ordered the premium size. We have a chunky 7 month old and a 2 1/2 year old still in diapers so it helped that the indian prefolds stayed the same size. We just ordered more a couple days ago! Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by jenny on Thursday 17 December, 2009 overall, i love these prefolds. they are really absorbent and not overly taxing on laundry day. my only issue is with the sizing, the infants were a bit to small and the "regulars" or "premiums" ( the difference between them really only being 1") are waaaaay too long. i have to fold the top of the back down about 2.5 inches which creates so much more bulk (making her uncomfortable in her carseat and none of her pants fit!). but i use them anyway- mostly at home though. great for chubbier babies i think. my girl weighs a lot for her age, but is petite for her weight. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Kelly on Friday 11 December, 2009 These are GREAT diapers! My daughter is 15months old and has been using these since about 2months. With my son we used disposables and always had 'blowouts'-with these my daughter hasn't had any! I highly recommend these, and plan on using them until potty trained. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Serena on Wednesday 18 November, 2009 These are great diapers! I have used them almost exclusively for the past 10 mos., and they hold up great and get sooo soft. The only issue I have is that the premiums are a bit too long, even for my high-rise 2 y/o, but you can always fold them down in back to solve that. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Diana on Sunday 18 October, 2009 These are wonderful diapers, and can't be beat on price. They wash up beautifully and are soft enough that I wish *I* had unders made of them. I got some DSQ Gerbers in my baby shower and let me tell you, the difference vast. Those Gerbers, while functional, are still stiff and scratchy after the same prewashing, and they pilled from the 6 washes! The Indian (and Chinese that I bought here as well) prefolds all washed up so nicely, especially in comparison. I wrote a G, I or C in the corners so that I would be able to tell which ones were which, but believe me, after washing, I didn't need to. These are by far the best diapers I have encountered. They are so soft and never leak. I prefer them over any other diaper and just ordered another 3 dozen for my new arrival coming this winter!!
You will not be disappointed! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by heather on Friday 18 September, 2009 We just started using Indian pf's. They are 1000X better quality than the birdseyc pf's we were using. I use them with a BSWW cover and FINALLY have no leak issues. They prewashed easily and I love the way they fluff up and how soft they feel against my baby's skin. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Friday 28 August, 2009 I really like the quality of these diapers. However the sizing isn't quite what I expected. These diapers in the infant size are nice in a small cover but would be better if they were a little bit wider. The premium are long and almost too narrow for my 25 lb 2 year old and she is quite trim. (wears a size 3 disposable). I am going to have to order more from green mountain diapers, because they have more sizes that are shorter and wider, and so you get a better fit around with a snappi and no folding down! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Aja on Saturday 01 August, 2009 I absolutely love my Indian Prefolds! I use them with Thirsties covers and get no leaks or blowouts. They fluff up beautifully and are so easy to use and launder. I have a few AIO dipes that a friend gave to me, but I prefer the prefolds. About 2 dozen prefolds and 5 Thirsties covers are all I need for an affordable diaper system! Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Hanna on Thursday 09 July, 2009 I am a mom of seven and I have used disposies for six of my children and am just now giving cloth a try. I think for a prefold diaper these are wonderful. Very easy to use (although my hubby still has yet to attempt the Snappie, he sticks to the AIO diapers I have for our DD) These are soft and absorbant although I did not really like the way the poo seemed to "puddle". All in all I use these for fill in diapers when I am laundering my BumGenius 3.0 diapers. I am pleased with thier performace and you just cant beat the cost! :) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Lisa on Wednesday 08 July, 2009 Wow! I just opened the package, and these are, quite frankly, beautiful diapers. After 2 years of using cheap gauze prefolds that are still rough, I decide to bite the bullet and invest in these. First of all, even unwashed, these are leaps and bounds smoother and softer than the cheap gauze weave diapers I have here at home. Second, the quality is very obviously above what you can get at your average discount store -- the fabric is thicker and tighter, and even feels heavier. I can't wait to wash them. If they get even softer after the prewash phase, I can't imagine how soft they'll be on baby's bottom. Finally, I have searched high and low, and these are the best priced indian prefolds on the web. If you have been hesitating, buy some today! Love the option to purchase individual diapers rather than only lots of a half-dozen or dozen. Thanks, Cotton Babies! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jackie on Thursday 02 July, 2009 These are fluffy, soft and very absorbent. I use these with some gerber cloth diapers that I got as a gift, and I much prefer these. The infant size was just fine for my newborn and at 10 weeks they still fit great and have room to grow! Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Christy on Tuesday 30 June, 2009 These diapers are easy to use and work great! They're very soft and absorbent. Just a note about sizing... although our son was 7 pounds when he was born, the preemie size (which supposedly goes up to 10 pounds) was too narrow to use with a Snappi, and leaked when just placed in a cover, and the infant size was too large for his extra-small covers. The infant size worked great once he moved up to small covers, and we still got plenty of use out of the preemies since they make great burp cloths or doublers. Now that he's almost 15 pounds, the infant size is getting too small, but the premiums are still huge on him. Fortunately, Birdseye flats have been the perfect solution for when he's between sizes. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Ashley on Wednesday 24 June, 2009 These are excellent to use with a cover, such as Thirsties. They really aren't much of a hassle at all, they fluff up beautifully, they aren't expensive, and they work! They seem very comfortable and soft, as well. I would never want to wear a disposable over something like this if I were a baby! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Natasha on Thursday 04 June, 2009 I've been using these for about a month now, with a Snappi and Dappi nylon pants. I have not needed a doubler, even overnight. These are VERY absorbent.
There was some staining -- used Biz, even though you're not "supposed to", and it seemed to help. (Drying on a clothesline in the sun is not an option in my apartment.) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Denise on Friday 01 May, 2009 Love these! I purchased the Premium size. The premium size prefolds I have bought elswhere barely fit around my 21-lb. little boy even though they should fit up to 30 lbs. I believe that the ones I purchased from this company are true to size. These are just right with pins or a snappy and because of the generous length, I can fold over in the front to add extra absorbancy for my heavy-wetter. Definitely going to purchase more!
