Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Veronica on Thursday 13 December, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified PurchaseVery absorbant and soft. Definitely great for nighttime with a doubler added. The only thing I have to complain about is the snaps could be done differently for a better fit. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Yoonjin on Sunday 26 August, 2012 Revising my previous review. After my baby turned 3 months old, I needed an overnight solution. I turned to the Kissaluvs size 1 fitted diaper with a Flips cover. The shape of Kissaluvs is a little strange with my slender waisted, chubby thighed baby. The waist was generous while the leg holes were tight. They don't fit under my Flips covers very well... The back of the thighs don't get covered up as well. I'm going to try a wool pull on cover with this because I still use it for overnight, because I am guaranteed no leaks, even with the odd fit on the thighs! In my honest opinion however, I enjoy Tiny Tush one size fitted organic diaper (super soft and absorbant!) and Babee greens hemp one size fitted. These Kissaluvs do get the job done however, wash up clean with no stink, and contain runny breastfed baby poop! Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Yoonjin on Tuesday 29 May, 2012 They are quite absorbant, but I don't like the fit at all. The snaps are really inconveniently placed and one wash turns it into a stiff towel. They don't dry very well though it might be the fault of my dryer. They are cute though Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Laurel on Tuesday 08 May, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I got the med/large size. It's fantastic at containing poops, nice and comfy on my extremely sensitive DD (23 lbs, 17 mos), and pretty absorbent (make sure you pre-wash it enough, more than the manufacturer says to). It's a bit bulkier than the bg 4.0's, and it doesn't quite fit under a Flip cover. I imagine the small size would, as the Flip cover seems to be huge with the Flip inserts, even doubled up. As for the snaps, they seem to hold up pretty well, and the company does have a snap guarantee in case they break. Which I will definitely be using if something happens. I'm also not used to the fleece, which is harder to get the poops off of than the microfleece, so if you want to get a stash of these and wouldn't like to toilet dunk, get a diaper sprayer. It would be no hassle in the EBF stage, though, and soooo soft. When I need more diapers for a younger baby, I'm probably going to get the small size of these and some more covers. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Joei on Tuesday 17 April, 2012 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase These WORK! I had tried so long to find a nighttime cloth combo to no avail, that I had recently reverted to disposables overnight on my 2.5 year old belly sleeping boy. He hated it! He called them paper towels and begged for his brothers BG AIO which leaked on the younger brother at night. I finally ordered one of these fitted diapers, used it under my flip cover and no leaks! I am so happy, I came back today to order another. The only thing I would warn is that I think they run a bit small. We got the m/l size and it is very small looking after prepping and fits my very skinny legged non-butt baby fine but I couldn't see fitting any of my friends babies even younger than mine. But for us, it is our answer:) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Joanna on Friday 12 November, 2010 When I first started using Kissaluv diapers, these hadn't come out yet. I have to say that after using some for a week when visiting my sister, the absorbency is wonderful! These diapers are twice if not three times more absorbent than my kissaluv v 1.0 I have always used kissaluv products and love their diapers, but the aborbency was the biggest issue I ever had with them. However, now with the v 2.0 it is no longer a problem. These are wonderfully absorbent, fit well, I have never had an issue with blowouts and very reasonably priced! We love them! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Angela on Sunday 26 September, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I wish I had more of these. I have one size 2 for my little toddler and they worked great for nighttime with 2 super soaker doublers with a thirsties size large diaper cover over it. Who says nighttime diapering is hard? Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Felicia on Monday 09 August, 2010 i have a large stash of the 1.0 in newborn that were given to me by a family member that also did cloth. these were great but not anymore absorbent than my PF, so hopefully these are better! they do not leak however (at least the ones where the elastic was still good). they are easy to use and worked really well for my girl's cord care because you can snap down the front. i use them still and she's up to 11lbs and still has room in them while the smallest size prefolds do not fit anymore. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jenna on Tuesday 22 June, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Pros: Great fit for newborns, my son was long and skinny and the fit was great and never had any BF poops leak.
Cons: Saturate very qickly and they don't have anything to wick the mositure away from the skin so as soon as there's any pee baby is sitting in it. Also, pretty bulky and didn't fit under many onsies.
I wish I had not purchased so many, as soon as the umbilical cord fell off I swtiched to my BGs which I LOVE. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Kristin on Sunday 11 April, 2010 We love these for overnight diapers and have been using them since she was born (my daughter is now 7 months). I usually use the extra liner, sometimes 2, and they work great! I'm excited to try the 2.0 version in the next size! I like using the Thirsties cover. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Bethany on Tuesday 16 March, 2010 I have version 1 of this diaper in a size 0. They are only OK. Because my daughter is long and skinny they were never really a good fit for her. My husband really didn't like the snaps and vastly prefers fitted diapers with velcro instead. They weren't as absorbent as my BG and Thirsties Fitteds and didn't hold in the Breast fed poo as well either. I was also disappointed at how rough they got after just a couple of washes. For this price, I would sooner pay a little more and buy a Thirsties Fab Fitted. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by kari on Thursday 11 February, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I have used these diapers with proraps and thirsties since my son was a week old and have not had a leak yet. They are a little bulky, especially when the front is folded over but he is now 6 weeks old and the bulk is less of an issue. They seem to saturate much quicker than the prefolds but they are super cute and very soft. I only bought 4 because of the price and I use prefolds the rest of the time. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Lila on Wednesday 03 February, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I have also had snaps break on 3 of these, even though I am very careful. Also, despite what the advertisement says, I do not notice a difference in absorbency between these and the originals. On the positive side, these are great fitteds. I have been very happy with them. I have used the Size 0 on my daughter from birth and they still fit at 3 months. I bought some of the next size up, but do not like them as much. They are quite bulky (which is probably because she is on the small end of their weight range) and they have 4 snaps instead of 2. The extra snaps may not seem like a big deal, but it just means more time diapering a wiggling baby. Finally, they are not that much less expensive than the BG AIO's (especially when you factor in the cost of covers), and the BG AIO's are such a superior product. In retrospect, I wish that I had bought BG instead. However, if you want a fitted, these are quite good. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Heather on Monday 01 February, 2010 Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I bought 2 of these to try after reading the rave reviews. During the second use, a snap broke. I also feel like I need to be very careful when unsnapping so as not to rip the fabric (may not be true, but that's how it feels). The rise is too low for either of my guys. Not a diaper I will buy again. View all 14 reviews |
