Cotton Babies Verified PurchaseThis kit is great! I did purchase 2 of the Planetwise pail liners after reading other reviews, and have absolutely no complaints about them or the pail itself so far. I have had to put this kit to the test this summer while staying with my in-laws, because the only place it would fit in our small room was in the closet with our clothes. After several diaper loads have sat in the pail for 3-4 days at a time, our clothes (hanging literally 6 inches away) still smell perfect. A+++ for this diaper pail and it's accessories! Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I LOVE this kit!!!
When I first started cloth diapering, I used a hanging wet bag to store my dirty diapers and it worked ok...but it just didn't thrill me. It didn't keep smells contained and it would fill up before I was ready to wash. I took a break from cloth diapering and recently decided to switch back. I checked out this kit and it looked like a good deal and like it was much better than a hanging wet bag. I am 100% happy with it! It is a perfect size, even for 2 in diapers and washing every other day. It doesn't take up much room in their bedroom. I love the built in carbon filter (the little bear is so cute!) and the built in deo-disk holder. I highly recommend the kit, it is nice getting everything you need in one convenient package. The pail liner is great and the deo-disks smell AMAZING! Its actually pleasant to open the lid because it smells so good. I really can't say enough good things about this! Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Don't hesitate to buy this kit! The pail is actually white - I think it looks off-white in the picture. I could never fill it up diapering one child but if you have 2 or more in diapers I would think this size would be a must. We keep ours in the bathroom so the diapers can be tossed in immediately after rinsing. The carbon filter and deo disks eliminate any odor. The only time I notice a stink is when I take the lid off to get the diapers out. The pail liner is nice too, no sweating and fits the pail really well. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

We've been using for a few weeks now for our 17 month old and although the inside reeks when we take off the lid, it doesn't smell at all when the lid is on. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Great diaper pail for cloth diapers! The disks and filter really keep the odor down. Our son is 4.5 months old and I've never changed the filter or the disk and the odor is still completely contained when the lid is on. A couple tips: a second bag is a must! We have a second bag and we rotate them. One goes downstairs to the laundry room with the dirty diapers then the second one goes in. It works much better with two bags. Second tip: position the flip handles so they are in front and back (not the sides) and flip only the back one up, leave the front one down, then you have a flip top lid! We never clip the front one up and this way I can dump the diaper one handed. FYI: this pail is white (it looks crean in the picture). The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is that I wish it was a little more attractive. It is very functional though. Rating:  [3 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I'm updating this review from my last one in October. I think the pail overall is pretty good. One of the things that would make this pail great is if it had a flip-top lid. I don't like taking the lid off and trying to find a place to put the lid when changing a diaper. It just seems to take too many hands to do everything and is not very efficient. The carbon filter & deo disk really seem to keep the odor down and I like that the pail is specifically designed to hold them. I think the pail is too expensive for what it is but overall I think it does the job and has some nice features. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I just received the diaper pail kit so I'll update this review once I actually use it. I'm not due for another couple of weeks. The diaper pail looks to be of good quality and sturdy. The little ventilation/carbon filter holder is very diffucult to unscrew & is very cumbersome. Since the carbon filter lasts for 3 months I won't have to mess with it that often, but it's a little disappointing given the price paid for the pail. The bummis tote seems to fit ok. I also purchased a back-up bum genius tote to see which one worked better. I will update the review when I start using it all. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

We bought two of the Bummis XXL diaper totes and we just wash the tote with the diapers each time. Then we use it as the clean laundry bag to haul the diapers from the dryer back to our baby's room. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I like this diaper pail. I like that it uses a carbon filter to cut odor. No other pail I found used carbon filters or had a place to store one in it. I also like that you can put another deoderizer inside the lid. When I ordered my pail kit the 3 deoderizers were not included. I wish they were. I ordered an extra yellow liner so I would have one available while one was being cleaned. I STRONGLY recommend having 2 yellow liners.--It helps to keep the odor down. View all 11 reviews |
