Cotton Babies Verified PurchaseI bought the size Medium w/Ekstra for the birth of our firstborn and used these for the first week after his birth. I leaked a lot during that first week/week and a half and these would only last a day if that before wetting my bra and shirt through. Cotton pads did no better though, and I just aired these out overnight before wearing them again the next day. They are comfortable, not at all scratchy, and the sizing is perfect. Unfortunately I have the Bravado Original Bra and I would NOT recommend wearing these with that bra because of the lack of a true cup to fit these into. I think though with a different padded bra these would work great, provided you buy two or three pairs to use while the others are drying. Rating:  [3 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase These pads (Medium w/ ekstra) last longer for me than the Hemp Babies Milk Weeds pads; however, they're still not an all-day solution. I have a very heavy letdown, and these will leak through to my bra within an hour or so. I live in a very humid climate (S. Asia!) with minimal air conditioning, so it's also hard for them to dry out in time to switch quickly. I end up having to wear one set per day, even if they are damp. I really do like these pads a lot; I'm sure they would work GREAT for someone with less leaking and a tamer letdown who lived somewhere where their pads could dry quickly. :) Rating:  [1 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I have both types of these pads and I loved them for a week...until I got thrush. I followed the instructions to boil the pads each day, but they took days to dry. When I got the thrush cleared up I started using them again...and got thrush again. Absolute worst investment I've made. I am beyond disappointed. I wish I could return them. My milk production is high and I would always soak through cotton pads and disposable pads, so far these are keeping me dry. I was a little freaked out when I read that you wash them as little as once a week, but they really do stay fresh and clean- I made my husband smell them after a few days of use and he couldn't believe that I had been using them. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase After getting frustrated with cotton breast pads that always seemed to be visible and had a tendency to smell, I finally splurged and bought a pair of these. They are incredibly soft, appear invisible under your clothes, and do not smell even without washing!
I started using these fairly late in breastfeeding (my DD was 13 months), so I'm not sure how they would fair in the early months of leaking and spraying. I found them to be very comfortable though in helping to heal my painful nipples when dealing with a little chomper.
I look forward to testing them out with my next baby (due 4/11/12), especially since I am now living in rural China and disposable breast pads are not really accessible around here. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

They helped to heal cracked nipples and keep them dry and clean. I now have two pairs. I was just about to quit breastfeeding before trying these. I am so glad I bought these. These are very comfortable, soft and absorbent. Am ordering my second pair today so I can have a set to wear while washing the other. They wash well, still feel like new. Used the lanolin soap. I thought they would be scratchy, but they are NOT and I cannot stand wool sweaters. They absorb so much, I have never once leaked with these and that is a miracle because I have leaked with all the other nursing pad that I have tried. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase These breast pads are SUPER soft, but even with the extra $6 for the ekstra, I still leak through them. After washing, they seem to be a little more absorbant, but not what I expected.
Along with these I bought a couple of pairs of the milk weeds pads, and wish I would have saved the $20 I spent on these for three more pairs of those.
These pads would work if I had about five pairs, they are really soft, but don't seem to be able to contain my leaks like the cheaper, reusable ones. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

They are my favorite (I also have some which are not wool, that I now use as a standby when woolies are drying). They ARE large but they shape perfectly to the contour of the breast and so are NOT noticeable under even light cotton tees. Extremely comfortable and soft; no complaints in any season for any reason! Easy to wash and care for. Highly recommended for any breastfeeding mother. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I love that these are comfortable, warm, soft, and don't retain milk odor. But I leak through them every time I leak. I am sitting here now with a soaked bra and a relatively dry breast pad. I don't know if it just transfers the moisture or what. At least, I'm very comfortable while I have a wet, leaky boob mark at work. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I was rather disappointed with these. I bought two pairs at $30/pair and I leak through them everytime I wear them. I don't think that them staying warm is a good thing either because you don't know you've leaked through to your shirt until you are totally saturated. Plus, the fibers stuck to my nipples like crazy and I had to wipe them off before feeding my son. Was definitely not worth the money in my oppinion. They should put some kind of leak proof material on one side so they absorb more evenly instead of leaking straight through in one spot. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I purchased the x-small to go with my 36c cup demi-cup all cotton t-shirt style underwire bra. They completely fill the cups. These pads are super comfortable, look great in the bra, and DO NOT smell like spoiled milk like my disposable pads did at the end of the day. I cannot believe it. sizes have felted wool only in area where most needed, to avoid extra bulk in your bra. XS: Two layers of felted wool; Small & Medium: One
