Cotton Babies Verified PurchaseI've been using the newborn Flip insert for two months now and I love them. They give a nice, trim fit for my preemie's small body. I have not had any leaks as of yet. I originally used these with another brand of preemie cover with the umbilical scoop but I much prefer the Flips covers over the other. I used the Flips with hook and loop so I could achieve a very snug fit by over lapping the tabs but I'm switching over to Flips with snaps now my baby is bigger because of personal preference. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I absolutely love these! We purchased the regular inserts as I somehow didn't realize there were newborn inserts. We used those for 2 days and I was so disappointed at how massive they were on my 7 day old. After a little more reading, I ordered these and I LOVE them. She's 14 weeks old now and just peed through her first one (we use the regular size inserts at night). I guess she's finally to big for a single insert. I love how small they are. They fit so well and you can barely tell she has anything on. We will absolutely use these for our next baby! Soon they will become her "extra" in the large inserts for nights. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Saved my whole stash!
My son is VERY sensitive. When I started cloth diapering him at 1 year old I tried just prefolds and covers, but he would get a terrible rash very quickly no matter how often I changed him. He seemed to do much better with the couple of pocket diapers that I had, so I figured it must be the microsuede cloth that helped him. I started buying the insert socks one at a time as I could afford them @ $3 a piece, but then I decided to give these a try since they have the same stay dry material on top. I know they are supposed to be for newborns, but they are actually the perfect size for me to lay on top of a prefold inside a flip or econobum cover and it works wonders! No rashes, no leaking and I was also able to salvage the three elementals that I had bought but gave him a rash just by laying them on top of the sewn-in cotton liner. I also purchased some regular flip stay dry inserts, but they are a little awkward if you have to fold them to size. My son is 16 months old and they are still too long for him. Anyway, if you have a sensitive baby like mine and have tried everything else, switching detergents, etc. then I would highly suggest you give these a shot. Rating:  [1 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I love the full size Flip inserts so I was excited to get these. The idea of not having to fold the inserts on a tiny baby is great. Problem is, these are also thinner, and my son started leaking almost immediately, sometimes within minutes of getting a dry diaper. Two at a time is about right, and still less bulky than full size inserts; they also make good doublers. I'm still disappointed that they're almost useless on their own. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I love these! They are so versatile! I started using these in a Flip cover on my daughter when she was 3 months old. As she got a little older, I paired the Flip newborn stay-dry insert with a BumGenius 4.0 regular newborn insert during the day. At night I use this on top of a flip organic prefold and it keeps her dry all night! My 2 year old son wears the BG 4.0 and I use the flip newborn inserts on top next to his skin to catch the poo and it makes clean up easier. It also provides a little extra absorbency and helps keep the BG 4.0 diaper stain free. I also put this little insert inside an Econobum cover and use it for a swim diaper. The inserts wash up very well and dry quickly. These little things see A LOT of use and are holding up very well! Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I was so excited when these came out because my second child was just about to be born. I started using these newborn flip inserts on her when she was 2 weeks old. I love the fact that you don't have to fold them. This really cuts down on the bulk for a newborn since they are so tiny! Because they are smaller than the regular flip insert, the only problem I had was that they do not hold as much pee. This is not a problem if you change your baby's diaper frequently. But my baby would go 3-3 1/2 hours between feedings. So when I knew my baby was going to take a longer nap I would add a bumGenius newborn insert/doubler underneath. This worked perfectly! Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I bought a pack of these and use them as a doubler in BG bamboo fitteds on my 6 week old. They work fine and I may even get more but they are thinner than a flip and not very absorbent, just like a BG stay dry doubler, but they do add some absorbency. I would NOT use them alone except maybe the first few days before my milk really came in. My son needs at least the absorbency of a full size flip insert at 6 weeks. The ones I got shouldve been sold as seconds. They are not straight or neat looking like my regular stay-dry flip inserts. Some are wider at one end and some have corners that curve way out on one side. They work fine for what I am using them for though, and they are thin enough to add to any diaper on my baby just for the stay-dry layer. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase I've used these a couple of times on my 6 week old baby with the Flip, Thirsties and Econobum covers, but she is so tiny still that they don't quite fit yet. However, they work really well as a doubler on my toddler. I've used them with the Econobum prefolds for my toddler and they work nicely. Once the baby is a bit bigger, it seems that these should fit well with the Flips and Econobums. They are thinner than the regular sized Flip inserts, but are less bulky for newborns which is a plus. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase Been using the bumGenius 4.0, Flip covers and Econobum covers. All of them are working well. The newborn inserts I have been using on my 6 week old 9lb. daughter for the past two weeks. So far no leaks. They seem to fit well and are a little less bulky then the bumGenious 4.0, which are my favorites. I am new to cloth diapering and being a Mom and am impressed with how easy it is. Thanks Cottonbabies. The only chalenge I find with the cover and insert system is my daughter is an active girl.
