I love my flips! I had used BG 3.0 with my 2nd son and loved them...just hated how the velcro wore out. I thought I could give these a try with my 3rd. I started using these when he was 1 month old and Pampers caused a huge sore on his bottom. The sore was gone within 2 days when I switched to flips. These are also great with BMs. Yes it may get on the cover...thus the reason to have more than one cover, but flips hold in more than any other diaper I've ever used. My son doesn't go daily, so when he goes...he GOES. I have yet to have any BM leaking which is pretty amazing to me. I love them, and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to CD.

I absolutely LOVE these diapers. We have a one year old, 25 pound lil'man. I can honestly say we've never had a problem with the flip system. The flips have a great fit. These diapers were our first cloth diaper purchase. After reading the reviews I had extremely high expectations, and they definately lived up to it. We purchased the flip system and the bumgenius. I love the bumgenius diapers too, but they are more expensive, we mostly use those for nighttime. I wish we had taken the plunge to cloth diapers sooner.

I LOVE FLIP! I decided to go with cloth diapers right before my son turned 5 months and ended up researching different kinds for almost a week before I finally settled on Flip. They had overall great reviews and I love the convenience of resusing the outer cover and the option of disposable inserts. I considered going with Gro-Baby after my sister chose those, but I found that the Flip had much better reviews and also the GB are much more expensive, MUCH bulkier (my poor niece has the biggest butt!) and they don't have the great colors that Flip does! I don't understand why some people are having a hard time with these, they have worked perfect for my son. He slept 12 hours last night with only one stay dry insert and he sleeps on his side so I thought surely the edges of the cover would be wet, he usually would leak through his regular diaper this way. But to my surprise, totally dry! He is still wearing the same cover he slept in so we are going on about 14 hours in one cover and it is still dry and fresh! As for the poop problems people are having, thats kind of inevitable with any diaper like this. As long as it doesn't leak, I'm happy! I'm doing less laundry anyway so its not a big deal if I have to change out the cover sooner than planned. I highly recommend Flip! They are super trim, cute, and he seems to be very comfortable. Cute colors, great price, and perfect convenience and reliability. Thanks for making this diaper Cotton Babies, it has made our lives much easier! :)

Not for BMs. I received my day pack yesterday. Being super excited, I washed the inserts 5 times in hot water, as directed. Meanwhile, I wanted to give the cover a go, so I used a regular prefold during naptime. Worked fine, no leaks, stayed in place. Once the inserts were ready, I stuffed one in: seemed too skinny - way skinnier than the cover, and too long, even on the shortest setting, and too thick when folded over. No worries - I was open. Well, my son has regular BMs, usually more than one a day. Today was no different. My first Flip experience was a bust. The insert was bunched (shifted), there was poo all over the cover, it was a huge mess! There was poo all over the leg openings, all over the back flap, and it had seeped into one of the front closures and leaking through to the outside. The whole "rinse and reuse" is a joke. I rinsed and rinsed just to try to get the poo off. So disappointed. And no money back guarantee. Figures. Why back a product that doesn't work. Save your money and just get a bunch of prefolds and plastic pants - they work better and cost less.

I LOVE these!! I have been using exclusively BG 3.0 OS and BG Organic OS snaps for several years now and on two different children (toddler boy, baby girl). I absolutely prefer the snaps to the velcro. I had been using the BG 3.0 OS with a doubler at night (12+ hours of sleep) and had occasional leaks. I purchased the flip system thinking it sounded like a good travel option. I soon discovered how easy it was and how awesome and leak-proof the cover is!! I decided to try it at night with one insert and a doubler. This is now my night-time choice. I have never experienced a leaky night since I made the switch. I must also add that I have purchased all my diapers from Cotton Babies and their customer service is outstanding. If ever I had an issue (only twice with the velcro), they addressed it and went above and beyond to be sure I was a very happy customer!!

The Flip cover with a Stay-Dry insert has quickly become my go-to diaper! I really like it and wish that it had been around when I first started cd'ing! It's an economical way to get started. The inserts cost more than prefolds, but the money you save in covers will make up for that I think. I love that I can also use the cover with the prefolds I already have. I use the green-edged size folded in thirds for during the day and the blue-edge size folded to fit for overnights. I love the stay-dry insert best of all, but I only have 12 so far and that doesn't come close to making up a load of laundry! The stay-dry insert is very absorbent. I've had one leak overnight and have stuck to day use only since then, but that was a pretty heavy-wetting night for my son. The only complaint I have is that poop frequently gets on the covers. Since I switch my covers at every change (my son wouldn't sit still for me to reload an insert into the cover - I have to have one ready to go) that's not a huge deal, but it is a little inconvenient. I am usually able to rinse them out really well and hang them to dry and they're ready to go again in a couple of hours.

I should clarify my review below. The inside flaps are fabric on top and PUL underneath. I might be doing something wrong or it may be the ill-fit, but I'm always having problems with the fabric part of the flaps getting soaked. :P

This was my first CD purchase as a new mommy, and the idea of a reusable cover and a simple no-hassle one-step insert was very attractive to me. Unfortunately the cover on the smallest setting was way too big for my 5lb newborn, and it's still too big for her 1 month later at 8lb. :( BUT I had to use these in a pinch a couple times, and I didn't have any leaks, even though there were wide gaps at the leg openings. (Of course she doesn't move around much at this point and I typically change her diaper every 4 hours at most.) The Flip insert is incredibly absorbent, although oddly not wide enough for the cover. I actually like to trifold a regular-size Chinese prefold and use that as an insert for the Flip cover; it fits PERFECTLY (and now I'm no longer scared of prefolds haha). And I've been using the inserts in other smaller diaper covers with wonderful results. I do like the stretchy fabric of the Flip cover, allowing for a better fit even with the snaps. But the inside flaps are not lined in PUL and tend to absorb moisture, making them smell and not so great for reuse... at least I won't reuse a diaper that I know is soaked in pee which can't be wiped off. Overall, I'll definitely be purchasing more of both covers and inserts... though not until she finally fits into them!

I was very nervous about using cloth diapers, but I decided to make the switch. I've been using the Flip system on my 30 lb. two year old for a couple of months now and love them! I just started using them today on my 6 week old. One thing I do not like is that I cannot reuse the covers right away. After just one pee from my two year old they don't leak, but do have to be rinsed out and hung to dry or they smell horrible. My only other complaint is that they only come in pink or blue. It would be really nice to have some gender neutral colors since I have one child of each sex in cloth diapers.

I could never say anything negative about bumgenius or cotton babies. Every experience I have had with them has been positive. I have used organic AIO's, flips and econobums and have been satisfied with all of them. I used the AIO's until my daughter was around 15 months and then I was looking for something a little larger with snaps (she was great at opening the velcro!). I have noticed, although it is not advertised, that the flip and econo covers seem larger, longer (my daughter is very tall). That has been nice. The snaps are also wonderful. I have had very few leak problems with all of these. I prefer the flip with the econo inserts. The flip covers are a little nicer than the econos but there is a year warrantly on all if there is a problem. And from my experience cotton babies always honors their warranties, they are quick to fix any problems experienced, which for me have been few. Thank you for these wonderful products, they are a true blessing!!

I absolutely love Flip diapers. We typically use BG's, but wanted a few extra diapers on hand. So to save a little money we thought we would try the flip day pack. I am so glad we did. We have not had any issues with them at all. To be honest I was a little hesitant to use them at night so we were only using them as a day diaper. Well, I ran out of diapers one night and had to use the flip as our night time diaper. I doubled the liner...like I always do with the BG's. He woke with without any leaks...a 13 hour night! I would highly recommend these to anyone.

me and my husband love these diapers, i ordered these, econobum, and the organic one size fits all with snaps, they messed up and didnt' ship the right diaper for the organic with snaps, so i started with the flip and econobum, I love the flip, the econobum are good as well, but the flip covers are better, i just wish they came in more colors. i do like the econobum inserts, we use the econobum, and flip covers and inserts interchangably. i can't believe i was able to get everything i need for cloth diapering for under $250, i was planning on buying only the bumgenius snap one size fits all which would have cost me much more.

I have been using the Flips for a month now and I love them. We have had no leaks at all! Two times poo has gotten on the liner. I used Kissaluvs before these which I thought I liked until I got the Flips. With the Kissaluvs we had leaks everyother day and we had to change it every hour. I never used clothe diapers when going out but now I can with the Flips because I know they will not leak all over the place and they are thin enough to fit in my bag. I also love the price. Overall best clothe diaper and the best price.

Received this just today. Put it on the baby with the disposable insert and have to say, was a bit disappointed. The poo missed most of the liner and was all over the inside of the cover. It didn't leak out, but the cover has to be rinsed out and can't immediately be reused. Also, the "flaps" don't really hold the insert in place. Might as well use any other cover with the insert. I do like the cover, it's nice and stretchy and I like the snap tabs much better than the econobum, but probably not enough to invest in this system. I haven't tried the stay dry liner, and am curious to see how well it works. You could use the Flip cover with any prefold or fitted as well.

Love these! I bought them to take some stress off my stash of BG OS diaps that are on their second baby. These are so trim, so soft, and so easy. I like that they don't have the extra liner like the Gdiapers, and the snaps work great for us. I'll have to buy more if they come out with other colors: I vote for black and dark chocolate.

I can not say enough about these diapers...they are fantastic. We have yet to have a leak in them (with the exception of my DH putting her to bed without changing her first ;-)...We use this diaper with the inserts during the day. We have also used prefiolds with it, but prefer the inserts. These are nice and stretchy and thin. The snaps give a great fit for my 3 month old and my 17 month old. No leaks at all! These diapers are the least bulky option I have used. These are my sole diaper for day time and sometimes night. I have fuzzi bunz for night and a bum genius 3.0. I would not buy another Bum Genius with the velcro as the fit is not nearly as good as these or the fuzzi bunz one size. Still my Fuzzi bunz have leaked and are bulkier and these are not. Only 3 things I would change about the Flip...1- the back flap should be as big as the front to hold the insert in place while putting on. 2- more color choices (frustrating if more come now as I just bought all my diapers). 3-these are air dry only...they do air dry quickly, but any busy mom would prefer the option to dry in the dryer. Oh and make sure the smooth side is up, I use 2 inserts for nap time and the smooth side up keeps your baby dry against their skin. I would say with 2 babies i use 7 covers per day and more inserts of course.

I thought the cover felt flimsy and thin at first because it didn't have the built-in lining. But the cover is stretchier than the BG 3.0 so it fits my 34"/28lb guy more trimly. It will be less bulky to carry cloth diapers in my diaper bag now. I will stick with the BG for baby-sitting, however, because the FLIP's clean-up is more hands-on than the BG and I'm not sure how many people will feel comfortable with touching the wet or soiled liner if it's not their baby. Overall I'm liking the concept. My only peeve is that the liner bunches up in the middle.

After reading all these wonderful reviews, I am sad to say that I haven't had a good experience with our Flip system. We have the day pack, and there hasn't been a single time, not even once, when my daughter's first pee/poo in the diaper doesn't ruin the cover for subsequent use. I just can't get more than 1 use out of the cover. Sure I can wipe out the interior, but that doesn't help the poop that gets on the back flap and on the non-coated part of the PUL at the legs. The covers are really flimsy. There is no chance that they insert will stay put the way it is designed. And I am using this on a 3.5 month old....she's not even moving yet and the insert gets all bunched up. Plus, even though two of the 3 rows of buttons are reinforced, I can't image how they are going to withstand 2 years of tugging and fastening as she grows through the weight range. This was a huge disappointment. If you are considering this style of diaper, you'd be better suited to try gDiapers with washable inserts. The Flip inserts are great--I plan to use them to supplement my BG 3.0 stash. The design flaws are all with the cover.

I have been using these for little over a month now and I love them. I'm new to cloth diapering as I have used disposables with my son for the first 17 months. I have had only one leak and that was because the first time I used them I only had 1 stay dry insert and my son is a heavy wetter. He is also sometimes poos multiple times in one day and I have never had a problem with leaks on that as well. I also ordered some of the disposables inserts. I'm not a big fan of these as I feel that they would not work for my son cause he is such a heavy wetter and his poo can sometimes be very messing inside of the diaper. I feel they are way too thin and that they don't cover enough of the diaper cover to give good coverage. But overall the cloth diaper aspect I am very happy with and even ordered another pack recently to up my stock.
