I've used several different kinds of prefolds and I love these, they're just the right size and hold up through nap time and bedtime.

I love these diapers! I bought the econobum system and after reading reviews about how bulky they were on little babies, I bought infant sized cotton pre folds to use in my econobum covers instead of the econobum diapers while my baby was small. I had been using the infant pre folds for three months. I decided to try the econobum at night for more absorbency in my 4 month old. I was so surprised at how well they fit my baby that I'm now using them all day. I wish I had just gone with them from the start! A note regarding size... My baby is tiny. She is just under 11 lbs at 4 months. When folded the right way (see the instructions) for smaller babies, they fit really well. Much sleeker than the infant pre folds that were too long and made the diaper seem bulkier. Yes, they are bigger than disposables, but for the money I've saved I don't mind that at all. Plus, my baby doesn't get diaper rash. Give them a try! You won't be sorry!!!

These diapers are extremely bulky for a newborn and slightly bulky for my 22lb nine month old, but they're wonderful and of good quality. These are perfect as night time diapers; my daughter will sleep 10 to 12 hours with no leak issues (in an Econobum cover) and she drinks plenty of liquids. I also used these as burp rags when she was smaller and now use them to wipe drool, food and boogers off her. Overall these are great diapers! No pilling or any signs of wear or stains ( my daughter was exclusively breast feed and still drinks breast milk along with solids, water and juices.

I look forward to using these diapers when my daughter finally grows into them. I was under the impression that folding them width-wise would allow them to be used as one-size-fits-all, but it does not. It is too bulky to be effective or comfortable for my 6 pound newborn. Her legs are kept unnaturally wide apart and my cover is unable to seal in leaks bc the whole package is just too huge for her. Unless you have a large newborn, this is not a good choice until your baby is a bit bigger.
