When he is hurting he will use it for about 10 minutes then sort of forgets his mouth was hurting and the crying stops. He doesn't limit the chewing to the berry part. the handle and sides get just as much use. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

Cotton Babies Verified Purchase At first I didn't think my baby liked this. When she first tried it, she was probably around 4 months old. She also wasn't a big fan of pacifiers. However, I tried it again with her after she turned 5 months old and she loved it. This is her favorite teether. It's real easy for her to hold onto and move to the part of her mouth that she wants relief. She got her first two teeth a day apart at 6 months of age. She is now almost 8 months old and still prefers this teether to her others. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!]

The ring, leaves and red part are all perfect for chewing. He likes it best of all his teethers. He likes te leaves and ring better than the red part, maybe because they go further into his mouth. Cotton Babies Verified Purchase My baby is almost 4 months, and up until now this was too large to suck on, but when i held the tip of it so that she could clamp down on sore gums, she usually calmed down and seemed to really enjoy the texture, moving her jaw back and forth usually as long as i could hold it there for her. Now she has finally managed to hold it herself and she also chews the leaves and i am impressed, because this is the only non-fabric thing she'll use to soothe her gums. It's a great buy, $4 to keep a cranky baby happy until we can get her home etc., and i like the peace of mind with it's non-toxic composure. I think she'll be enjoying this for a long time to come.
