Kissaluvs Baby Wipes Reviews (23) Write Review Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Valerie on Sunday 20 June, 2010i havent even used this wipe yet but i'm fairly certain its not gonna be great. it's not a soft wipe. it's a very course looped terry wipe and i'm just not a fan. I would describe it as a dollar-store type washcloth. :(
this poor little guy will be at the bottom of my pile. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Lila on Wednesday 03 February, 2010 I love these wipes. However, I have not used any other types so I have nothing to compare them to. I have not found them to be too rough like some others have noted, and I started using them the day my baby came home from the hospital. They work wonderfully with the Bumgenius Bottom Cleaner. Also, they are great for wiping drooly faces and other little messes... I keep one in every room. Folded in half they work well as doublers. And I use them for myself as handkerchiefs. Highly recommended. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Mandy on Thursday 05 November, 2009 These wipes are good, but not my favorites, here's why-- PROS-- super duper absorbant and go a long way per wipe, hence cost effectiveness, and they are textured so they grab everything the first swipe. They also are the perfect size(not as bulky) to use as a diaper doubler for a newborn (in a pocket diaper) if you run out. CONS-- they aren't as soft as a flanel wipe, so I wouldn't use it for a newborn wipe, and they curl up in the washer/dryer. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by john on Saturday 31 October, 2009 we got these from another cloth diaper store, but found them to be very scratchy against my baby's skin. They are good at cleaning off poopies, but they are very rough, which is why we no longer use them! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Heather on Thursday 22 October, 2009 I bought 12 or 24 (I can't remember) of these wipes along with a package of the bumGenius flannel wipes available on this site, and another bunch of wipes from another site that are no longer for sale. I bought about 45 wipes total for my two children. I've been using them for over a year and a half and they're just starting to wear down. Both the bumGenius flannel wipes and the kissaluvs are beginning to thin out; but they've served me well and saved me a ton of money! I loved having the combination of the two types of wipes--the kissaluvs helped get the bulk of the yuk off my babies' bums and these bumGenius flannel wipes were great for doing the rest of the clean up. A spectacular combination! Rating: [3 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Christina on Friday 07 August, 2009 The Kissaluvs wipes are pretty heavy duty, but they are not nice and soft for a newborn's precious bottom. I only use them when my Bum Genius are all used up and waiting to be washed. The flannel BG's are so soft and gentle for my little one. I think the Kissaluv wipes might work well on an older child, I just think they are too harsh for an infants tender skin. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by JULIANNE on Monday 11 May, 2009 Overall good, but I prefer the flannel wipes. My one-year-old son has very sensitive skin, and I think these are a little rough for him. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Wednesday 18 March, 2009 I have to say I only have a few of these that I ordered to try. When I first got my prefolds and these I was shocked at the smell and texture. Then after discovering that prefolds had to be washed many time,s I figured these needed to be too since they are unbleached. I have washed them enough and they are great, they keep getting better the more I wash them. I think the untextured side is great for non-messy diaper changes and the other side grabs everything. I believe these will be fine for my newborn as long as I am gentle. Very Very Absorbent! Overall I think these are as good as any, they just need to be washed (or boiled) many times before they reach their maximum softness. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennae on Thursday 05 March, 2009 I think these are plenty soft! I would recommend these. I bought a stash of 20 and store them above my son's changing table. When he needs a good wipe-down, I have a spray bottle filled with 1 c. water, 1 T. baby oil, and 1 T. baby bath. I spray the cloth and then wipe him clean. These cloths are very durable, soft and work perfectly. I will be buying more when these ones bite the dust!! I am very happy with my purchase! In my experience, the edges do not curl and fabric does not pill. We normally hang to dry, but I recently used the dryer without any bad effects. GREAT product. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Ellen on Tuesday 10 February, 2009 I love the ease of cloth wipes with cloth diapers, definitely a must. However, I do find these wipes to be a little on the rough side. They are very durable and hold up well through many washings. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Kimberly on Friday 30 January, 2009 I agree, I reach for these wipes first. Although I also agree with the previous comment that these may not be soft enough for a newborn's tender skin. But for my 9 month old (and for the last few months since he started eating solids) these wipes are soft enough and definitely large and durable enough to clean up the new larger messes. I love that these don't fray or curl up and they come clean with my diapers perfectly. No stains, unraveling, fraying, etc. The only reason I give these 4 out of 5 stars is simply because they may not in fact be soft enough to use right from the beginning, but I definitely recommend them once your babe starts eating solids. :) Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Tuesday 30 December, 2008 I am loving these wipes!!! I usually make my own and got tired of mine fraying and just not lasting as long as I needed them too. I bought these Kissaluvs and I will never look back, I just bought more today and some for my sister to try out too!!! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Jennifer on Tuesday 14 October, 2008 The best wipes I have found. I wish they were a little less expensive but I can see why they are not. Very well made and easy to use. They don't slip in my hand like some wipes do and get all the sticky mess off easily. I love the texture. Wash up nice and I have never had a problem with smell on them. Rating: [2 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Becky on Monday 13 October, 2008 I love the thought of cloth wipes... so I bought these based on previous comments. However, I have found that they break out my little ones bum :( I tried different wiping solutions with them and the break out didn't go away, sadly. My baby is a new born so it could be that her skin is super sensitive. I hope to use them when she is older. It seems like they really work for others though. Rating: [1 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Melissa on Thursday 02 October, 2008 I thought these were awful... They weren't at all soft, they smelled funny (even after several washings prior to use). I threw them into the cleaning rag collection. Pretty disappointing considering they had such good reviews here... I found some that I really like that are made by a WAHM. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Susan on Tuesday 10 June, 2008 These are my favorite wipes. I have some I made. I have flannel wipes that came with my very first starter kit. But I reach for these ones first. Rating: [4 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Sommer on Friday 04 April, 2008 I ordered these with my first order of cloth diapers and did not have a problem with them. I used the Kissaluvs spray and wet the Wipes if the mess was big. They are a bit thick for my taste so we now use them as back up. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Rebecca on Thursday 28 February, 2008 I have about 50 or so of these and they are great! Come clean, as they should. The real difference between cloth and disposable wipes is more noticeable with older baby & toddler poo. Cloth is so much easier and efficient! Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Amy on Tuesday 15 January, 2008 I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these. Even with the toughest mess we only need one. So much easier to use than traditional wipes. We keep a spray bottle with a mixture of Dr. Bonner soap, tea tree oil and water and spray the wipe, or directly on his bottom. These work great for diapering, cleaning up a dripple, or for a bath. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars!] Reviewed by Rachel on Sunday 02 December, 2007 Very nice! Soft, but textured enough to clean stuck on messes. And thick enough to keep your hands clean. I'm glad I bought a stash of these instead of more baby wash cloths!! View all 23 reviews |
