Traditionally, those trees were burned and turned into charcoal so the farmers could replant, providing little subsequent value both economically and ecologically. The company that produces these toys saw an opportunity and used the wood to produce wooden toys painted with safe, non-toxic and child friendly colors in line with international standards.
