Share the Love is a Cotton Babies program created to distribute used cloth diapers to families in need of a little extra support. Shortly before the arrival of their first child, Jenn and Jimmy Labit, owners of Cotton Babies, were laid off. Both computer programmers at the time, Jimmy went to work at Kinko's, and Jenn stayed home to care for their son, Andrew. Thanks to a gift from a friend of several months worth of cloth diaper service, the Labits were able to save the expense of disposables, which allowed them to use their income for food and housing. Due to those months of diaper service, they knew cloth diapers were the long-term answer to helping their family through a tough financial time. Now, Cotton Babies is happy to support others in similar situations.
Share the Love is currently open to families in the St. Louis metro area. Eligible families who complete the application process and agree to the loan terms will receive a set of used cloth diapers. If your family is in need of help, please complete this application. At this time, we are focusing our charitable efforts to individual families in the St. Louis area. But, if at a later time, our resources exceed the needs of our local area, we will explore other options for giving and we look forward to that day.
