We’ve stepped up our Wet Bags once again. The long-awaited Hangout Wet Bag is available now! Several years ago, a description of a prototype was included in one of our catalogs. Sadly, the production of that wet bag never came to life. Every now and then, someone in the Mob would stumble across this vintage catalog and ask whatever became of that wet bag? It was a bag lots of people wanted to get their hands on. Now that production of bumGenius diapers and accessories has moved to St. Louis (more on that here), we’ve been given some flexibility

bumGenius Mini Wet Bag

What is a wet bag? Wet bags are an important accessory for cloth diapering. They are used to store dirty diapers or to keep clean diapers separate from soiled. Our bumGenius Outing Wet Bags are washable, leak-resistant bags with zipper closures. Each bag holds 3-5 cloth diapers. If you plan to cloth diaper outside of the home, you will need a wet bag to store soiled diapers. At home, you can choose to use a diaper pail or a large wet bag, like a Planet Wise Hanging Wet/Dry Bag. These larger sized wet bags can hold about 20-24 cloth diapers.

If you’re like me, you’re a mama who feels like you’re constantly on the go. Whether it’s a run to the grocery store or a trip to Grandma’s, I’m constantly packing my daughter’s diaper bag for a day out and about. So for me, organization and style are key. Keeping things organized helps to ensure we have “all the things” at hand when the time comes. Style, on the other hand, is just for me. Cloth Diapering and Family Gatherings

Our midwives not only deliver babies, but get to talk with new mothers about a lot of the challenges facing them in their transition into parenthood. It’s that time of year again: traveling and meeting up with family for the holidays. One of the great things about cloth diapering (besides these reasons, of course!) is that it plays so well into the now-trending “minimalist” way of life. Cloth diapering is SIMPLE, affordable, and significantly reduces waste! It is win-win-win for the minimalist-minded mama! There are, however, some accessories that are – for the most part – necessary to cloth diaper. These include reusable cloth wipes, a diaper pail or large wet bag, and diaper-safe detergent.
