Hi Charis, The problem might be in the detergent you are using. I’ve heard of some people with the same problem, and it was completely fine when they changed to a softer detergent. Hope this helps!

Any thoughts on using Grandma El diaper rash cream with bG 3.0 diapers? My guy is 8 wks & I’d like to keep him in cloth but he’s so sensitive that he needs to have some type of barrier. Grandma El’s says it’s safe for cloth but does that include microfiber? Thanks!

I have 4 month old twin girls. We decided to use cloth before they were born and bought 3 different brands. No one believed we would make it a month.SURPRISE!!Thanks to BumGenius,we did. They are beyond wonderful. The best thing I have done for our girls. So easy our Nanny has no complaints & said they are as easy as disposables. So worth the inital investment!!

I also have 24 one size BG 3.0’s diapers and it works great for washing everyday.

I have to say, of all the things we bought for our daughter, the Bum Genius diapers of our best discoveries! She cries less in them than she did with the disposables and the diaper rash that had begun in disposables has vanished. Plus, they are really

Alot of people said that cloth diapers would be too much work, but I have found it to so easy! It’s not any harder than carrying out the extra garbage that the disposables generated and we never have to rush out because we are out of diapers!

I would highly recommend it to anyone…and I do! 🙂

Generally, I would recommend having 24 one size diapers in your stash. This allows you to wash them every other day which is recommend.

If that seems like a lot all at once (since you baby is almost a year now), consider building your stock up now and then you will be set for future little ones!!

There is a TON of great info here: http://www.cottonbabies.com/clothdiapers.php

    I hope that helps!

I’m looking into the possibility of switching to cloth diapers and you seem like an expert. I have an 11 month old who uses maybe 8 disposables in a day. How many bum genius diapers would I need- 8? That probably seems like a stupid question but considering the cost of each bum genius diaper, it seems like an awful lot of money just to get through even a couple days without having to launder them. Maybe a little info on numbers would be helpful if you don’t mind! Thanks!

I have to admit, I have 2 of these and I just thought they were ok at first, but now I really love them! It also helps that I am now more interested in organic diapers and them being one size makes them that much better! Now I need to start adding the ones with snaps here and there =)
