Review: Flip Organic Inserts
June 13, 2014 2:48 pm | by

Screen Shot 2014-06-15 at 2.55.04 PMI have a very extensive diaper stash full of bumGenius, Flip and other brands. I’ve got Freetimes, 4.0s, and Flips galore. However, I’ve never tried a single Flip insert. For whatever reason, I always used a prefold, flat, or made a receiving blanket into a flat. So you can imagine my surprise when I finally tried the Flip Organic Day Time Inserts.

Oh my goodness. Talk about trim. If you’re trying to get away from the cloth diapered large baby bum, this is the way to go. My husband and I were actually laughing at how small her bum looked today. That NEVER happens!

I also couldn’t believe how absorbent this thin piece of fabric was. Baby B is what is called a heavy wetter. She pees and pees and pees some more. The amount of diapers I should be going through per day at this age is like 6. I go through about 10 diapers a day with this kid. Anyways, these inserts held up very, VERY well to this mega pee-er. Enough so that three inserts lasted me about half a day. It’s a miracle!!!!

I highly recommend these inserts for any covers, not just Flips. I will be trying them in my 4.0s as a natural fiber option as well since I’m not a huge fan of microfiber. I can imagine they’ll be just as absorbent and I’ll be happy with them in those diapers as well. These may just replace my prefolds!
