Tuesday Giveaway: Flip Travel Pack for Labor Day!

Labor Day is next Monday which marks the end of summer for many. For one last summer hurrah, today's giveaway will be our favorite Flip Travel Pack. Each Flip Travel Pack includes 2 Flip diaper covers and a pack of 18 Flip disposable inserts.

One of the reasons we love the Flip Travel pack is because it gives mom and dad a vacation from laundry, if only for a day or two! Each prize pack for today's giveaway will include a Flip Travel pack and a pair of bumGenius Baby Legs to complete the ensemble.

To enter today's blog giveaway for your chance to win one of our prize packs, leave a comment on this blog post and tell us your must have product for traveling with a baby or toddler. No baby yet? Tell us your must have product for a traveling expectant mama. Three winners will be selected at random from all eligible comments to receive a prize pack from Cotton Babies.

Eligible entries must be posted no later than midnight Central time, Wednesday, August 31, 2011. U.S. Residents only. Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary to win. Winners will be drawn at random on Thursday, September 1, 2011 and notified via e-mail. (Please make sure Cotton Babies staff can see your e-mail in your comment or through your Blogger profile page.)

A must have for those who love to travel and won’t stop just because a baby is here…a sleeper tent! Our 7 month old has already been on 4 flights and we’re debating where to go for her first international trip. The sleeper tent is smaller than a pack-n-play and fits easily in a suitcase. Just pop open and use for the beach, naps, and bedtime!

I can’t travel without my favorite baby carrier….the Moby wrap when they are little and the Ergo carrier when they get bigger!

  3. Nancy Yi says:

My baby hates car rides. Crazy, I know. My must have item is TAD. He is a Leap Frog item that sings many songs when you press on his hands, feet, and belly. With a press of his chest, she switches to night time mode, which plays music, which knocks my little one out, right away.

    NancyYi310@gmail.com

  4. Our must-haves are the “special blanket” and my Ergo carrier. With 10 month old twins and a 2.5 year old, there is always someone who wants to be carried. The Ergo works for all three kiddos!

  5. Amanda says:

I must have a wetbag when traveling with baby! To store those dirty dipes in!!

  6. Natasha says:

For my toddler- snacks, drink, toy and change of clothes (hes at the potty trained wearing big boy underwear but occasional accident stage). For #2 that will be joining us within the next couple of weeks- moby wrap, diapers and me (hopefully he takes to the carrier and nursing like #1 did).

I’m an expectant mom with no kids yet, but I always have to have some pickles, popcorn, and a nice pillow on the go! It’s a great triple-threat combo! It’s fun to hear what others need on-the-go so I can be prepared for our first!

  9. Kimberly says:

We’re expecting our first in December. I must have my Privos when traveling – cute, comfy and just enough stretch to let my feet swell!

My Ergo! We’ve flown with little man 9 times in his first year and used it every time! Alas, he is starting to get cranky because he a) wants to face out and b) wants to walk himself!

  14. Kim P says:

My must-have travel item for my 5-year-old is a dry-erase board with marker. Keeps him occupied for hours! My 2-year-old just needs a good supply of snacks to keep him happy – a combo of Cheerios and raisins is always a popular pick!

I love taking along the Chicco hook on travel seat. It hooks onto a table and you have an instant high chair. We have brought it with us when we have travelled to see my in laws, have taken it to friends houses for dinner parties and various weekend trips. We just keep it in our car and also use it at local restaurants when the high chairs look a little cruddy or missing the safety belt.

  16. Patty says:

A few of our 18-month-old little girl’s favorite books! It doesn’t matter where we are as long as we have “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” and “Goodnight Moon”!

On road trips we always bring a puppet! Our two-and-a-half year old son LOVES puppets and imaginative play. When he’s cranky in the car and nothing we say or do is right, the puppet can make him happy every time! And if mom asks him to do something when he’s cranky, forget it. If the puppet asks him to do something, it becomes a game!

A great piece of advise I got for traveling with a baby – keep a traveling bag for baby with items such as: thermometer, tylenol, orajel, bulb syringe..whatever you use when baby doesn’t feel good! Glad i took the advice because on one of our first trips my son got his first bad cold! Used the thermometer and tylenol to help him sleep. Just have the bag ready to put in with your other luggage, we also keep travel sized bath soap and lotion in there.
For shorter trips our new must have is happy baby Puffs! Keeps baby content and are mess-free!

    joanna.harrold(at)gmail(dot)com

  48. Jessica says:

I found that a hand breast pump was very handy for long car rides when baby was sleeping soundly but I was about to explode. Allowed us to keep on driving and let baby sleep.

My son’s blanket named “Bankers” – this blanket is GROSS. He “stole” it from my older sister, so this blanket is over 25 years old and the lace has turned a nasty yellow but we can’t go ANYWHERE without it! It’s really embarrassing when he thinks he needs to bring it into stores with us!

    Two things:

Lightening McQueen Lollipop saver–doubles as a car for Vrooming and saves my car from stickiness as our little weirdo never finishes in one sitting.

Clothes pin–secret games of tag, how many times can you drop it in x?, hold together important papers, temporary fix for wardrobe malfunctions, “duck puppet” with silly voice to make toddlers giggle, BUT most importantly a tether to keep balloons from escaping to Balloonia prematurely should you be forced to acquire one. Tie said balloon to the clothes pin, clip it to your child or stroller and you’ll go home with a happy child so long as you don’t pop it in the car door as you load everone in. (Whoever taught that one to me was a genius!)

Am I allowed to say my Flips? ;-) I used the disposable inserts for a week long vacation with no access to laundry, and it was SO nice to not have to carry around a bag full of poop stained clothes because disposables never hold the mess like Flips do. Even when I ran out of the Flip inserts, I still used the Flip covers over the regular disposable diapers I brought so I wouldn’t have to deal with the messes!

  81. Kristen says:

  228. The Shorey's says:

If I’m out and about the best thing is a pacifier attatcher, every time I forget it, I lose the pacifier! My father-in-law saw my 9 month old with his paci attatched to his shirt and said “Where was THAT when our kids were little!!!”

  229. KPBerling says:

We travel frequently and our top travel item for babies/toddlers is the mei tai. It is great for bringing them through airports, for the zoo (because when they’re in the stroller, they can’t see over the fence to the animals!), etc.

I also like to bring Color Wonder coloring books for toddlers. It only colors on the Color Wonder paper, not on the airplane seat or tray. No cleanup required, not distracting to fellow passengers, and very inexpensive.

  249. Katie says:

Snack traps, sippy cups and my sling. Something for everyone.

  250. The biggest lifesaver on our road trips is my pump and a few bottles so we can feed her without stopping. Once we take my little girl out of her car seat it is nearly impossible to get her back in the thing. Other must haves are a fully stocked diaper bag, a sling or wrap (but usually both), some fresh fruit for snacking, and my baby’s favorite toy.

  251. Myself! I’m breastfeeding our baby. Also the baby wrap for hands-free carrying and a cd of nursery rhymes for the 3 year old.

When I travel with the kids, I must have a changing pad (or even a receiving blanket). It grosses me out to lay my little one down on public changing tables so it makes me feel better having something to go between him and the table. They also work great if we are at someone’s home or if there is no place to change his diaper, I can just use the changing pad on the floor.

My must have item is those organic fruit squeeze pouches. They are great for when my toddler needs to eat in a hurry and I can’t get to any appropriate food. I keep them in my diaper bag at all times!

  389. I have to agree with what a lot of people have already said, a baby carrier, what kind depends on age of baby.

  390. angryuterus says:

For travel, I agree, a Moby. I carried/wore our son when we went hiking and camping, when we went to tour Chicago, I wore him all day…

her blanket is a must before we step out the door. Other than that, it’s our diaper bag backpack which I adore fully laden with a couple of outfit changes, spare diapers, toys but most importantly – the gyro bowl fully stocked with cheerios. I don’t know how parents managed to not spend all day picking up flung cheerios before these things were created.

Ha! I love Theresa M’s comment, she’s so right, and goes great for infants– for the older toddler/pre K crowd, the answer is similar, but more dad friendly– snacks! Even just going to the grocery store, I always have either a box of raisins or a package of fruit snacks in my purse or in her ‘change bag’. Great for a reward, a distraction, or to beat those ‘I’m so hungry’ tantrum blues!
